  1. As mentioned above, this can be done in the settings, and in fact, we've added more options to the list. You can have a full description, a short description, or no description at all. No description creating the neatest look.
  2. No ability to remove the sidebar anymore, primary reason being that to make everything fit neatly and organize it in the most logical manner. That sidebar now contains main navigation links that aren't duplicated elsewhere. Things like the friends and subscriptions.
  3. Oh dear... That is a problem... I'll get working on that now.
  4. Should be resolved now :)
  5. Hi, Thanks, this is related to an ad on the ad network - we came across it earlier this morning and have reached out to the ad network to investigate and remove the ad.
  6. We've managed to sort this out now, it should be fixed - and furthermore... It should now actually display the names of the person you're quoting when clicking the quote link on a post. :)
  7. Hmmm, strange... I was sure that it never used to give the name of the person being quoted. I know that the reply tag never has. But was sure that the quote tag didn't either... I tried to find some examples in old screenshots of it showing the names being quoted, and all the ones I could find didn't have that. There is an issue with the reply/quote right now though, in that instead of bringing up the 'quote' tags, when you click on the 'quote' link, it brings up the reply tags. We're working at fixing this at the moment. We're also working at getting it so that the quote box will bring through the name of the person you're replying to though. At the moment, this can be achieved with a little bit of manual work. One can change [.quote] to [.quote "username"] to get the name pulled through in the mean time. But we hope to have this solved shortly. Sans the fullstops of course. It will look like this...
  8. The following scam has been reported: Click here to read more about these kind of scams. Remember: DO NOT do business with anyone who offers to send you payment for a higher amount than your selling price with the understanding that you'll send back the balance. Be suspicious of anyone claiming to be acting on behalf of a "client" or another "customer". Be suspicious of anyone claiming to be from Nigeria or West Africa If you agree to accept a check payment, then do not send anything, gear or "change" before the check cleared. And be careful, if you manage to clear a fraudulent check then you may be liable for the damages if the bank finds out later. Make sure your bank authenticates the check. 9. Hookit is right, that ad is legit. In fact, that user has had some of their ads flagged as scams before because of how similar they are to the scammer ads, but has contacted me and provided information as to show their legitimacy. With regards to the question above about paying for classifieds submissions. To my knowledge it's never been a paid service, and one has always been able to post ads regards of whether or not you're a premier subscriber. The increase in scammers is due to a new type of scamming mechanism that was put in place. We are working at ways of helping this though, and will likely be implementing a "Trusted Seller" feature in the near future.

  11. Please look out for ads by the following users: Username: sellnnz Username: cruitmch Username: lbourge The above usernames have been disabled. These users registered with the same IP address, tied to those of known scammers. Should you see any ads in the classifieds from any of these users, please flag them as a level 5 scam. Attached is an example of the ad submitted by one of these users, which has now been removed from the site. [inline scammer-ad.jpg]

  13. Strange... Once again the closing tag code magically disappeared... Causing it to break. I hadn't even been working on it over the past few days, so not sure what is causing it... But I`ll give it one more try before troubleshooting. It should now be resolved though.
  14. Looks fine on mine too at the moment, it may be that the person never closed or opened their tags properly, which would cause something like that to happen.
  15. We do have such a thing though only the administrators can use it - as it's part of the system back end, and for cases where there are spammers - we tend to implement it. Why, who needs to be banned site wide this time?
  16. Fix should be done now. Feel free at any time to fire me a PM with these tech issues and I can get em fixed quicker :)

  18. This user contacts users with wanted ads up and offers them gear, asking for their address or telephone number. It is unclear whether or not this user reaches the step of providing his banking details, but it has become clear that the user has been attempting to collect user information through these e-mails, such as address or phone numbers. We have disabled the user from the site.
  19. That was my bad. I've resolved this now. Apologies.

  23. That looks like the 'vanilla' template theme was enabled somehow. It looks to be back to the way it should be now though to me. Let me know if you see otherwise.
  24. The link was partially correct, in that category there is an article for media guidelines. I've changed it so that it links directly to the article now though. Thanks.
