Yeah, "oops" does tell the story.

From what I understand, RAW records more detail about what the camera is taking a picture of which makes for better editing. However, it takes up much more of your memeory than JPEG. Yeah, it was their idea. Being a math person, I don't do a lot of writing, so it was quite a challenge. I still haven't gotten to see it yet. I know too well how finals are. I still take a class or two most quarters and I don't like them any better now than when I was a full time student. I also don't like giving finals. Well, I did fib a little. I just said I had an appointment officially, but my students knew where I was really headed. I did take my case of beer to the dz tonight, and even though the wind was blowing too much for anyone to jump (not just me!!), I spent more time learning to pack. I finally managed an unassisted pack job and got it marked off my A card. I had a great time visiting and drinking beer. But, there is a cownside. I thin on my next jump I have to jump my pack job. ScaryQQQQ Well it's late and I have to head to Portland tomorrow for a quick trip. I be back Saturday night and hopefully jumping Sunday morning. Ah, yes, waiting for the next jump. I have spent a lot of time doing that. It seems to be a rite of passage for most students. I am supposed to jump tomorrow afternoon and so far the sky and wind are looking good. When I first started jumping, I was usually the only one at the dz, so I really didn't realize what effect the wind could have. Having spent a lot of hours this spring watching experienced jumpers landing in winds that are out of my range, I now have no problem with staying on the ground.

Woo hoo, Mina. Way to go! Your persistence and dedication are inspiring. Your landing was sure better than my last one. I didn't flare in time and did another of my more or less, splats.
