    I am soooooo sorry. Stuff just got in the way and I couldn't make the trip this time. I am really disappointed cause it sounds like I missed a really great time. So where am I going to be for sure? I am going to be at Kapowsin this weekend. I've already booked my flight there. I will be at the second weekend of Lost Prairie and at the Leap for Lupus in August for sure. Work is NOT going to interfere with my fun again this summer.     And ya' know what, IF a mal happens, the training and practice sure pay off. When I had my mal, I had no hesitation about what I was supposed to do. I just did it.     Well, I can tell you that being in the 50's isn't a barrier. I did a tandem last October, started AFF in November, had a lot of weather delays and got my A last month. I'm up to 42 jumps now.     Way to go. The tunnel is a nice place to start. I didn't do tunnel time until about 8 jumps and it helped me a lot. I have yet to decide if freefall or canopy time is better since they are both so fantastic. By the way, I am 57 and I just started jumping in October and got my A license a couple of weeks ago. Have a great time learing. It is a wonderful adventure.

    Well, I got to jump today. I did two jumps and it felt incredibly good. I will admit to having a few fears about how I would react at first, but that first jump was so absolutely empowering for lack of any other word that I can hardly believe it. I went diving out the door with no hesitation and the feeling when the canopy opened and flew like it was supposed to, well, there really aren't words to describe that moment. Then I got to do the sunset load. Again, beyond words. It was so incredibly beautiful to watch the sun beginning to set from under the canopy......... I can't imagine life without the joy of skydiving being part of it. Life is good and I am living life.
