  1. Send an email to the Wagner brothers at omniskore.com, years ago they used to have the cameraflyers wear a microwave transmitter connected to the RCA outputs (how old is this) from our cameras for live air to ground judging, it was a maintenance nightmare to keep them working, not to mention coordinating with the cameraflyers to make sure they did not turn the transmitter on too soon, or forget and leave them on blocking the signal of the next team out.
  2. On both of my Stiletto's I have them relined when I start to get spanked. There have been instances where the lineset was trimmed incorrectly at the factory but you said your rigger measured everything, I would suspect the brakeline setting from the loop up to the cascade, maybe too long? You said Aerodyne wasn't much help in the U.S., do they not do canopy repairs over here? You might try to call Aerodyne yourself and rattle their cage a little, you know get some "customer service" out of them. Good luck
  3. He'll take offence to spelling his name wrong, it is spelled McGowan.
  4. If you can read Japanese it is on the website snickers.jp.
  5. Anyone jumping this camera yet? If so, what do you think of it?
  6. Yeah, Michiko is doing really well and you could not ask for a nicer or more friendly human being but alas poor Michiko leaves tomorrow for the land of $65 skydives (Japan). We are really gonna miss her. Sayonara Michiko!!
  7. I would'nt worry too much about landing on snakes, I've lived here 3 years and the only ones I have seen were the ones I had search for. They are for the most part nocturnal because their bodies cannot regulate heat hence you won't see many in daylight. Just try not to stick your hand in any holes. And besides with Eric the snake eater around, we're safe.
  8. Do not jump Dustin, it's not worth making it worse. Get to the doc and have it looked at. ps your cutaway is on your RIGHT side dude.
  9. At least Timmy wasn't practicing as you were landing.
  10. I don't know about all that, but I do know that I have a low level of moola amoola, aka no money.
  11. My employers are sponsoring a freefly team, seems like a nice deal, new rigs (3), little mini rig back packs (3 again), cool. Today one of them called up and inquired about their new rigs (almost finished) and then proceeded to ask if they wanted to chip in some cash to put the company logo on the team shirt that they are coming out with, asking their sponsor to *pay* to put a logo on the team shirt! Here is a little guideline for keeping a sponsor happy; "Ask not what your sponsor can do for you, ask what you can do for your sponsor". Your sponsor gives you items that they make or sell and they expect you to help them sell more of these items that they make or sell, pretty simple really, and when you call and ask for money to promote the sponsors products that makes you seem pretty ungrateful. Done.
  12. 230 OTD, mini risers and slinks on Stiletto 120's and zero problems but I do inspect everything fairly often. PS mini rings on both rigs.
  13. Upon further investigation it was found that the rattlesnake was already dead and partially consumed by some other desert dweller. So much for the cool story. Shit.
  14. I was told by an AFF instructor here that a student had landed off the landing area and injured his ankle because he landed on a Rattlesnake, his injury was minor, the snake died before medical personnel could arrive. My condolences to the reptiles family. Blues skies?
  15. Yes, do not forget to put the slider back on when done.
  16. What's wrong with that ? He's got a chock behind the wheel!
  17. Ya know I can see doing a tat on somebodies butt you do not know, but (butt) somebody you do know then having to walk around with that mental image and the knowledge that you touched your friend on the ass........on purpose................for money. I guess I have two hang ups, getting hurt is on and touching my friends asses. Dammit I'm f'd up!
  18. The 2000 Nationals at Perris there was a 4 way team from TX I think that had a member actually peel the pin flap and ripcord pin on his reserve by doing a rig jam in the door, as they backed out side the top of the door (bottom?) pushed the pin out and the camera guy got a great shot of his teammates pilot chute then his teammate roar right past him, nobody hurt but I think they called it a meet after that. Should be on the Omniskore video for that year and maybe on that teams best of. I think the rig was a Javelin and it was supposed to be a headjam type exit. What up Double J !
