  1. That, right there, would be reason enough to take them out. what was it...."you wanna see me cry? then play some rap music." - Bruce Willis (The Last Boy Scout) ...and you're in violation of your face!
  2. Or maybe you could carry a second wallet with a little bit of cash in it, hand it over, and while their bitching about only getting 10 bucks, you pull out your other wallet and blow their ass away. Cute......but in real life you'd get charged with murder as they were walking away and they didn't threaten you with a weapon. ...and you're in violation of your face!
  3. And at that point the situation would actually turn into one where you're protecting yourself. But as a gun owner who plans to use or pull a handgun in a public place........the moment that happens you have more to think about than just yourself because you're endangering everbody else in the range of that weapon. If circumstances permit and there's nobody else around then that changes things too. But actively escalating a situation like that to one that involves guns puts yourself and everybody else there in more danger, which is not smart. Guns or any weapon for that matter are not smart to carry because if you do get into an altercation they are liable to be used by you or on you. Either situation is not ideal. As I said, the number one rule is to not put yourself in that situation in the first place. ...and you're in violation of your face!
  4. They're not gonna think long and hard about this.........he just gave them a good reason to do this at gunpoint from now on. Talk about "enabler". He still let them go and the next guy is going to get a greeting with firearm with them twice as jumpy if the guy makes a sudden move. Hey Sven - Give me your wallet. If you don't, I'll feel like I need to go buy a gun to enforce my request. I like your philosophy - just give whatever you have to anyone that walks up and orders you give it over. It's pretty simple and easy. Give me your girlfriend while you are at it. I 'might' be carrying a pointy stick and I don't want to show it in public. Give me your shoes. Give me your bank account numbers. Thanks, see you tomorrow, I'm off to do the same to those helpless people over there. It's working so good. It's only material things.....now you start talking about people's lives and that's a different story. What's the point of getting shot over your wallet, it's just a wallet? ...and you're in violation of your face!
  5. I wouldn't say that you are 100% at fault by any means........they approached you right. But by pulling a firearm you escalated the situation, you then let them go, didn't call the police, and now the next guy will probably get robbed at gunpoint by someone with an itchy trigger finger. You did take care of yourself.....but you didn't think about anybody else standing around or the future repercussions of those actions. Had you gave them an empty wallet, called the cops afterwards, and the got arrested and went to jail.........they would be off the streets, no itchy trigger fingers, and nobody would've been in danger of a gunfight at the gas station. A dream victim.....that I will be, up until the point where I can't be anymore. Hell take my wallet I don't care it's just a wallet, the watch go ahead it's just a watch. After they leave I'll call the police and they'll hopefully be arrested and in custody. But you put a gun to my head and that compliance will disappear in an instance.......before you know it that compliant person will be the one with the gun and you'll be restrained. ...and you're in violation of your face!
  6. You can only put so much "crap" into the atmosphere.....there's a reason those chemicals kill people and other living beings, they're poison. So what kind of common sense is it to say they're ok just to dump into the atmosphere? Not very logical. You mean there aren't any natural processes to filter out / dissapate(sp?) pollutants? Think about all the crap that get throw into landfills on a daily basis..........we recycle a very low amount of it and expect it just to go away. How many states require emissions testing? The US puts out more than half of the world's vehicle emissions......yet we don't want to raise the MPG on vehicles? The average mpg on cars in the US has not changed in 20 years...........is it because we don't have the technology or because there's people with lobbyists who want to make money? Just think back to when scientists were saying cigarettes didn't cause cancer............who was making money off of the cigarettes? They were also the ones paying the nay-sayer scientists. It's the same thing here................the people making the money, the oil companies. Wow, they're also paying the nay-sayer scientists. Have we learned anything here? There's a world organization on this.....they meet yearly. And they concluded that global warming is very real, but you want to believe the oil funded scientists? That makes no sense. Who's makind the billions a day...........the oil company or the world organization? Things like this should bother all of us because it puts a bad image on the US......who's making the money, those people are the ones lying........"The United States, the world’s largest emitter of greenhouse gases that spur climate change, opposes mandatory caps on emissions..." from the NY Times http://www.nytimes.com/2007/04/18/world/18nations.html?ex=1334548800&en=599119af2640e7b1&ei=5088&partner=rssnyt&emc=rss ...and you're in violation of your face!
  7. They're not gonna think long and hard about this.........he just gave them a good reason to do this at gunpoint from now on. Talk about "enabler". He still let them go and the next guy is going to get a greeting with firearm with them twice as jumpy if the guy makes a sudden move. ...and you're in violation of your face!
  8. If you put yourself in that situation, then yes. But you're missing the fact that these guys weren't armed...........they just walked up to him and said "give me your wallet". ...and you're in violation of your face!
  9. You forgot rule number one, don't put yourself in that situation to begin with. Personally, I know the "someone just called the cops thing works"..........works pretty quick. ...and you're in violation of your face!
  10. That's right, the best decision for everybody. Actions do have consequences and by you chosing to pull a firearm out to protect your wallet. And you chose to put everybody else in more danger by doing so. You were not in a life threatening situation.....they didn't tell you they were going to shoot you, they didn't say we're going to rape your wife...........they said give me your wallet. They didn't pull a weapon on you............you escalated the situation by pulling a weapon on them. And there are consequences for the "thugs"...call the cops.... they're on video, the cops do their job, and they go to jail. As far as I know, robbery isn't an offense that carries the death penalty. Where do you draw the line....They pull out a weapon, that's intent to use it. That would be the time to defend yourself. By pulling that weapon you just gave them reason to pull one and a reason to catch up to you later with one in hand. ...and you're in violation of your face!
  11. I sincerly hopw you get a SH as your leader someday why? you don't like the fact that he proved where his argument came from and also proved you wrong? ...and you're in violation of your face!
  12. Notice how they didn't approach him with a weapon.....they said "give me your wallet"............he is the one who escalated the situation by pulling a weapon. And you're not going to get into reasoned dialogue.........but a "the attendant just called the police and there are cameras" will get them to move on once the take the "empty" wallet. Number one rule: don't put yourself in that situation to begin with. ...and you're in violation of your face!
  13. Unless the scumbag decides to shoot you to get rid of a witness.. or just because he does nto like your looks..it happens... too bad.. so sad. And a missile could blow up the gas station as this is happening.............there a billion things that could happen. Hell, they could all break into a rap video song and dance routine. Which route is going to put you and everyone else in more danger, actively escalating the situation or letting it happen? If you give no reasons to be a threat, then there's no reason for retaliation or violence. You can also be smart and lower the danger through communication......mention that you just saw the attendant call 911 and make a point to note the cameras watching the pumps. Try not to get fuel late at night and make sure if you do only go to gas stations that are busy and have cameras inside and out. Think of this, you're walking with your child and a guy says give me your wallet...............are you going to start a fight and put more risk towards your child or are you gonna give the guy your wallet and put your child in less danger? You're gonna do what's best for your child, nobody is gonna put their child in more danger to prove a point. ...and you're in violation of your face!
  14. You can only put so much "crap" into the atmosphere.....there's a reason those chemicals kill people and other living beings, they're poison. So what kind of common sense is it to say they're ok just to dump into the atmosphere? Not very logical. ...and you're in violation of your face!
  15. You're missing the point. You're only thinking about yourself.........you're not taking into account other people that could just be there by chance. You start a shootout a kid or adult gets shot and dies..........who's at fault? You are. You started it by pulling a firearm. Now if they pulled a firearm first, then that changes. You simply put everybody else in danger by pulling that handgun out in public. In this instance you got lucky that it didn't escalate, your move was not the smart one. It's like fighting fire with fire....it's doesn't work, it just creates a bigger fire. You fight it with water and it gets put out. The guys take your "empty" wallet and walk off and nobody got hurt.......you're out a wallet and a few days without a couple of plastic cards. You call the cops afterwards, the guys are on videotape from the gas station surveillance tape that covers the pumps and they get arrested later on. Now, you start a shootout people get hurt.....you chance getting shot, bystanders could get shot, even the "thugs" could get shot, and you could still get your wallet taken. Which is the smarter move? The one where nobody gets hurt or the one that could start a whole bunch of unnecessary chaos and a large amount of people getting shot? Also it doesn't matter if you state that you're a good shot.........a group of people shooting at one individual, which has the better odds the group or the single person? It's not about making the choice to be macho or to be compliant, it's about making the best decision for everybody........yourself, the bystanders, the gas station attendant, and yes...even the thugs. PS - this is an egotistical decision, not a logical one ---> "Letting yourself get walked all over....not smart, not smart." Just in case that's not getting through (number 3).... e·go·tis·tic –adjective 1. pertaining to or characterized by egotism. 2. given to talking about oneself; vain; boastful; opinionated. 3. indifferent to the well-being of others; selfish. ...and you're in violation of your face!
  16. Found some new babysitting tips for all the parents out there...... http://www.askaninja.com/node/4935 also with Christmas coming up here's some info you should know.....http://www.askaninja.com/node/107 ...and you're in violation of your face!
  17. I'm sorry, but I'm gonna have to go with Nightingale on this one. Had they been armed you could have started a shootout in a public place injuring anybody in the vaccinity for what? To prove that "i'm a big, tough guy with a handgun and nobody is taking my wallet".......that's ridiculous. The contents of your wallet aren't worth your life or anybody else's. Now if they were threatening your life or somebody else's than that changes things, but they make more wallets and they're printing cash like it's going out of style, it also only takes a two minute phonecall to cancel any credit or debit cards. Simpe solution....When you hand over the wallet take out your ID so they don't get your address or just don't keep your id in your wallet and make it a point to not carry cash......then what did they get......nothing but a wallet and some plastic cards that will be no good 2 minutes after they leave and you call the police. Besides if all of them are armed you still don't have the upper hand and you just made things worse by pulling a gun and escalating things by forcing them to use theirs. And put everybody else around in greater danger.....not smart my friend, not smart. ...and you're in violation of your face!
  18. Just go get the patents from the oil companies that purchased them from GM for the EV1.....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Motors_EV1 ...and you're in violation of your face!
  19. I have internet access via a military network, so yeah, youtube is blocked. I'll refer you both back to the congressional testimony of Senators Kennedy, Clinton, Kerry, et al in regards to your "proof" via interviews. Shall I post the quotes again? Do yourself a favor and watch it.............I'm sure you're able to gain access to the internet from somewhere for five minutes. That's not a valid excuse.......there's libraries, internet cafes, hell a lot of malls have free internet booths... ...and you're in violation of your face!
  20. Ok....then go with some common sense. Take a fishbowl, it contains one fish, a cup of sand, and a gallon of water............now add toxic chemicals to the water and put a cup of garbage under the sand. What happens to the fish? Or put yourself in a garage with your car......close all the garage doors and leave the car running while you're standing next to it and make sure there's a large ficus in there with you to filter the air. If it's ok then you will be fine. ...and you're in violation of your face!
  21. The funny thing is that Patraeus's superior says the exact opposite of what he did......but Bush just chose to go with what he wanted to hear. ...and you're in violation of your face!
  22. Wow you are in favor of that? You might want to read up on PTSD and it's symptoms. Please do. A few years ago I talked to a Vietnam Vet who had a 6 hour stand off with the police while holding his girlfriend at the time's daughter hostage, she was 8, because a loud noise brought him back to Vietnam mentally.......he was very lucky nobody got shot. He was armed with a couple of rifles and a shotgun. Not sure if that would classify as PTSD or what....but in that kind of situation it's hard to endorse gun ownership for an individual with those kind of problems. ...and you're in violation of your face!
  23. Here's a video by impeachbush.org, it's all interview footage.....kind of hard to disprove that...........http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nE2SdF1fN4s&mode=related&search= a random assorment with Simon Pegg....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjFrezxIMAQ Rumsfeld getting confronted.....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9-3GkoWjUg Then again...stay the course....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHYb9rf2BBQ&mode=related&search= and there's this.....http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=george+bush ...and you're in violation of your face!
  24. Thanks sv3n for the link! You're welcome 1969912....seems like it's a pretty good show from the couple of clips that I saw. ...and you're in violation of your face!
  25. You know..........I wrote a whole bunch of stuff out and just realized I really don't care what you think and deleted it. It's not gonna help anyone to sit here and argue about it. If you believe that only you and your's matter....that's fine, believe that........take care of your own. Personally, I think this world is about more than just me. And I'll make my decisions based on that. If 18,000 people die because they can't afford healthcare........that bothers me. if you want to just say "doctor's kill more people than that a year by treating them". Go right ahead......but to me, life has more value than that and I think it's disrespectful to those 18,000 people that did die last year because we have a system that failed them. It's not ok. ...and you're in violation of your face!
