You don't? What exactly makes you think that we're so special that the rules and laws don't apply to us? Just to help you out further, there is no Santa Clause. But for fun - show me an example where a reigning superpower was forced to do anything by the power of 'law.' In the real world, the power is force, in both economic and miltary forms. What, integrity is some sort of fairy tale to you? That's a great bully attitude.........no wonder our international image is so low. You can't steamroll over the rest of the planet and then expect to have people help you out when you're in need. Power comes and goes.............but the integrity of your country is there forever. You tarnish it and people are gonna remember that. You shouldn't have to be forced to do the right thing and follow the law.......especially if you're trying to preach things like democracy and justice. If you want people to believe you, you should probably be following your own advice. ...and you're in violation of your face!

You don't? What exactly makes you think that we're so special that the rules and laws don't apply to us? If we're supposed to present the example of democracy that we're trying to spread to the rest of the world...........the only way to do that is through example. You can't ignore the rules and then whine when other countries ignore them too. ...and you're in violation of your face!

The Hitler comparisons are a bit unfair. We've only killed a fraction of the good, innocent people that he did. Blues, Dave So. How many is to many? That's a good questions.........I've heard Iraqui Civilian death numbers anywhere from 50k to 700k.......that's a lot of people and still counting. Maybe one of these days will get a count of civilians killed by US (and Coalition) troops. US Troops, US Security...........then again without the war which the US started by invading Iraq the numbers wouldn't exist. ...and you're in violation of your face!

Did you even watch this? I will assume that you did not, do yourself and everyone else a favor and unless you actually watched it don't reply. It is pointless to respond to a discussion about something that you haven't even seen and does nothing to further that discussion. If this is truely the case then your inane reply is simply wasting everybody's time. First, I don't watch video at work. Second, I generally don't watch or follow links with no description. Third, this topic had been discussed many times over. A fucking talking cat? You want to know if that might have legal standing? I think a judge would throw a person out of court for shit like that. Don't waste our time. Make a succinct argument for yourself. Don't find long boring videos hosted by animals. Whoa....time to switch to decaf. No need to get your undies in a bunch. It's a bunch of students that researched our involvement in iraq and the laws that are in place.........then they made it into a video. Now wether they choose a talking cat or dog, I could care less.............what I'm asking about is the legality of the conclusions of their research. If it's a waste of your time, then quit replying and move on. ...and you're in violation of your face!

THat won't stop the losses, because they send a great deal of the money they earn illegally back home so it is not spent here thus creating more jobs nor is it taxed on sales. Well let's go with your argument...............either they pay a little sales tax and no income tax and their earned money gets shipped home.............or more sales tax on the money they are spending here............................with which option do we get more in taxes? ...and you're in violation of your face!

It's a government's role to protect it's population....without a population there is no need for the government. Having a sick population will do you no good.........you will pay more in treating sicknesses than preventing them in the long run. The bigger the poplulation the more taxes you have coming in. Also, a governments role is to take care of the poplulation not individuals. And as being part of a society you need to realize that everything does not revolve just around you. You're part of the whole, you're not the reason the whole exists. The government should use everybody's taxes for the good of the whole......realistically that doesn't always happen, but you can speak to management about that. PS - if you want to argue that illegal immigrants don't pay taxes because they work illegally........that's fine. But there's a simple solution to that. Get rid of income tax and make it a flat sales tax. That way whenever anybody purchases something they're paying their taxes. Yeah, no more taxes to file. ...and you're in violation of your face!

what he said. But I didn't even make it that far. Yeah....you sort of have to fight through it for the content. She pauses a lot and talks really slow. But the content is intruiging. ...and you're in violation of your face!

I could care less about "tearin' you a new one", this is a discussion not an argument. I posted this to get some people's insight into it. As far as SH's violation of international law.......I don't believe he is exempt of international law, but we were not elected by the rest of the international community to deal with that. Until it is sanctioned by the UN it is not a legal action. At least that's how I understand it. Correct me if I'm wrong on that. General Powell's speech to the UN was the attempt to get the action sanctioned and the UN said no...........but we moved ahead without the approval. Is that illegal or not? Like I said, I'm not an attorney.....I'm curious what the answer is though? I think the first GW realized that pursuing the move of policing Iraq would be an uphill battle that would never end.....actually if I'm not mistaken he, as well as the current one, was advised by his military advisors not to move into Iraq because of the situation that we're in now. The current one just decided he didn't want to hear it. I agree, we're sort of stuck with the current situation and need to resolve it the best we can. ...and you're in violation of your face!

If I'm not mistaken the treaties and charters that our government has signed would make the laws that we need to follow. The way it's been represented is that any treaty that we sign actually becomes U.S. law as well. I'm no lawyer, nor a law student.........and this is exactly why I asked for lawyer opinions on this. ...and you're in violation of your face!

I think the addage goes....Fool me once... shame on you....fool me twice.. shame on me.... I believe the official quote is....."There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again." or if you prefer video......http://youtube.com/watch?v=eKgPY1adc0A ...and you're in violation of your face! -

Freemasons, Skull & Bones, etc etc. Who cares?
sv3n replied to SpeedRacer's topic in Speakers Corner
All I'm saying is that it should stay out of politics.....you can do whatever you want on your own time, but when taxpayers are paying for you to make decisions for their best interests keep your and your buddies interests out of it. Do you have any evidence that Freemasonry (as an organization) is involved in politics? My impression (from excellent sources) is that they're mostly about getting away from their wives in the evening and raising money for charities. 14 of 43 presidents have been Freemasons.....I would consider that as them having political influence. If you don't believe they're politically influential or have anything to do with the government, then how did the "all seeing eye" end up on our currency, which is a masonic symbol? Like I said, you can worship anything or anyone you want in the privacy of your own life........you could worship peewee herman for all I care.........but keep it the hell out of the government. It has no business there. ...and you're in violation of your face! -

They can pray to the owls all they want...but once it starts affecting public office decisions and works it's way into some form of discrimination that's were it becomes a problem. ...and you're in violation of your face! -
Are their fingers directly on the triggers of weapons directly taking part in hostilities by directly sending bullets in the direction of the enemy or was that by accident? Wether is defensive or offensive, they are directly involved. ...and you're in violation of your face!

Maybe.........or if you were a "club" that wanted to "have influence at the top level" what would be the easiest way to do this? Have both of the candidates be members. I think the main concern that a lot of people have is the same reason why we're supposed to have separation of church and state.............if church or the skulls is who they made a pledge to for their life, the organization "puts" them into power....then who's bidding will the candidate perform, that of the people or the organization that he/she made a pledge to? And that concern goes across the board, whether it is the skulls or the freemasons or whomever. Let's say you were a contractor and you placed a bid on a contract, you are very reputable and do good work. You don't get the bid even though you learn that your bid was the lowest and a competing company gets it because the owner was part of a group such as the skulls or the freemasons because the guy in charge of the oversight board is also in the same group. Sort of takes democracy right out of it doesn't it? Just look at Iraq, think Haliburton. ...and you're in violation of your face! -
CQC/CQB tactics will get you a long way...but it also depends on the fact if you are well trained or trained at all. Just because you know that if someone grabs your muzzle you pivot your body to realign the sights with your target...that doesn't mean you will react that way in an actual confrontation. But let's say all gun owner's get CQC/CQB training for argument's sake...the other thing is your proficiency in those tactics. Special Forces are constantly training in CQC/CQB, they don't just take a once a year refresher to be dead on accurate. So what makes you think that you or anyone else will react that same way without constant training? It's just like any martial art...you can be shown a waza, but without practice you'll never be good or even great at it. Your average gun owner would focus on the weapon in a face to face struggle over it...but someone with any martial arts or CQC/CQB training will know that all it takes is a little slight of hand. Get your opponent to focus on your hand that's on the weapon and finish things with your open hand...it only takes a split second. That's also why operators carry a secondary firearm like a pistol. That way rather than fighting over the primary weapon that the assailant is trying to acquire you give him a couple of love taps from your secondary weapon, gain control of your primary weapon, and move on. But your regular citizen isn't going to have a secondary weapon, body armor, and a team to back him or her up. Training is good, train all you want......and as a firearm owner one should. But if there's no weapon to begin with, then there's nothing else to lose focus on or fight to keep control of. ...and you're in violation of your face!

Name of thread One less IED bomb maker in Afghanistan I would think that is kinda hard to miss. I'm not saying he's bright, but I'm guessing he missed that and was trying to imply Iraq. ...and you're in violation of your face!

You've got to be fucking kidding me. The Taliban ran the country at the time of the 9/11 attacks, and we knew they harbored Al Qaida. They would not give up Osama Bin Laden and his co-horts, so we went over there to take the Taliban out and take down Al Qaida. Yes, I wish we'd had better results, but false pretenses, my ass! I'm pretty sure he was thinking Iraq........I don't think he was aware of the son's location. ...and you're in violation of your face!
