    Spoting Made Simple- 1. Red light comes on 2. Red light goes out and green light turns on 3. Open door and look down VERY briefly (weather you know what you're looking for or not) 4. Go See simple. GPS takes all the guess work out of spotting. While this method usually works it doesnt always work. BTW, this post was generated under the uttermost conditions of sarcasm. Muff #5048

    Ideally you should be keeping off of it as much as possible.     You do know you can get a keg of beer and an asortment of liquors/mixers for about $250. I went to bars when I was younger, but when I actually sat down and added it all up I was spending 3 times what I'm spending now on the same amount of booze. That kind of turned me off of the bar scene all togeather. Well that and the drama associated with most bars/clubs. Muff #5048

    Yes. Renters insurance covers your rig. Also lets say you go to a boogie or something and somebody steals your rig out of your car your renters will cover that as well. Point being if you have a bunch of expensive shit (ie skydiving gear, nice tv, cameras etc) its financially stupid to not have renters insurance. Also, my renters pays to REPLACE my gear not just give me what the value of my gear was. So if my place catches on fire and I lose all my shit then I get all brand new shit. Muff #5048

You want to be able to shed layers as needed and I've found 3-4 gives you some latitude with shedding vs. retaining heat.     Try living out here where the high is 38-47deg. And I jumped when it was friggin chilli outside this past weekend. You really dont notice it in freefall, but once you get under canopy its front risers to get down and back inside quickly as possible. Muff #5048

    Amen to that one. There's an instructor at my DZ who did just that and when I told him how much I appreciated it he told me "Just remember when you have high jump numbers and a new guy wants to jump with you how it made you feel when I did the same for you". Selflessness! Muff #5048
