    Why do they call them building when they are finished building them. Why does everyone in a commercial aircraft buckle up when the seatbelt light comes on knowing it wont do jack shit for you in a crash yet not buckle up in a car when it is most likely to save your life in a crash. Muff #5048

    FWIW, I also fly a spectre 210 (loaded 1-1) and when I land mine I simply wait until I'm about 6' off the ground (feet off the ground not head) then start my flare. I generally bring the toggles down pretty quickly UNTIL the canopy flies straight and not down ("planes out" as previously mentioned). Once the canopy starts to sink again I finish bringing the toggles the rest of the way down to full arm extention (finishing the flare) and she will set you down just as pretty as you please. Whats really odd is that I used to fly a spectre 230 before I got my 210 and for the life of me I used to biff about 50% of my landings. Ever since I got my 210 I have yet to fuck one up. Weired huh?     Very direct but true. I did my packing practice on a slippery canopy... no better way to learn it proper (with a lot of cursing). I am not allowed to pack my own jumps yet, but I practice in between on not needed canopies, so that I am proficient. I would prefer jumping my own packjobs after I get my license....if something goes wrong, nobody else to blame then me. I believe you have to pack your own canopy to get a license. I jumped my first pack job on a 4000' H&P (talk about having faith in you gear) and in doing so was able to sign off 2 things on my A proficiency card. Muff #5048

    I agree. Porsche first. Their engineering rocks! Porsche is not an option, nor would I pick one over these two. Follow the damn directions. I beg to differ the carrera gt would be more than capable of hanging with those two. Muff #5048
