  4. It should have different preset-type settings for different conditions. Also (on my K10D at least) you can manually set the WB to whatever your liking. In the pics you posted it appeared to be a cloudy day? try setting the WB to the cloudy day setting (or whatever the hell it is). Sometimes using auto WB doesnt alway yield the best pics (at least in my experiance). Muff #5048
  5. Have you tried playing around with your white balance at all? Also your iso setting may have something to do with it. DSE could probably tell you more about it than I could. Muff #5048
  6. My Hawkeye. >>Disclaimer: I'm not actually flying camera yet. I just got a rerally good deal on the helmet and since Ill be flying camer later on in my skyjumping carrear I went ahead and bought it.
  7. Damn. I am way too fuckin gullable. I would have bought it there and not even given it a second thought. I'm kinda glad this forum is here to keep people like me from getting fucked out of some money. Thanks for the info.

  9. Cool. Those hc-9's look like they're about $680-750 if you get one online. I was just thinking about getting one when the time comes for me to jump camera. Its nice to know that boxes are made for them. thanks Muff #5048
  10. Just curious. What kind of box are you using? Muff #5048
  11. If thats what you were taught to do then you did right. Did you talk to your instructor about what happened with the canopy? If so what did he/she say about the way you dealt with the problem? Muff #5048
  12. That same thing happened to me on my way back from mesquite. I think it was because I went higher than 1000ft in elevation. But every so often the damn thing would just go off. I turned up my radio. Problem solved. Muff #5048
  13. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Anyone who GIVES you a rig with a 10 month payment plan is ok in my book. That and I've known him since he was born. Muff #5048
  14. Oh shit. I forgot what forum I was in when I posted it. Sorry about that. Damn its been a long day. Muff #5048
  15. It happened this morning and we felt it all the way over here in Ogden. http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=2703484 Muff #5048
  16. I was told that its not harrasment if your looking at boobs with an angry look on your face. Muff #5048
  17. You sould give out candy to the one who loses the most. That should keep everyone in check. Muff #5048
  18. I would have to say the best is chili. In fact, its better if you let it sit a day or so to absorb the flavors. Second is spahgetti(sp) (with sauce already in it). Worst ever i think is fast food esp. fries, chinese etc.. Muff #5048
  19. I was refering to this comment. "Advice like pulling front risers could seriously get you hurt." Sorry about the confusion. Muff #5048
  20. I would like to point out that I said "what I do is..." I wasnt reccomending that HE do the same thing or even advising it for that matter. And if you read my whole post you will also see where I wrote "And talk to your instructors". The point of my post was to say what works for ME. If that works for him too then great if not then oh well. Muff #5048
  21. I would say flare more aggressively (faster closer to the ground). Another thing that could help that an instructor told me is "dont start your flare any higher than you would be willing to jump without a parachute". Ever since Ive done it this way Ive stood up every landing. The key (for me at least) is to fly that thing by the seat of my pants all the way to the ground. I usually give it some front riser input @ about 300 feet just to speed up a little then plane out the canopy with the toggels when I get close to the ground (only a couple feet off). This isnt the reccomended way for students though. Just my 2 cents. And talk to your instructors. Muff #5048
