  2. Hi Nick Was 1988 after folks stopped used FF rigs for base? I'm guessing it was since page you attached had a ad for a tert. canopy One Jump Wonder
  3. Hi K-dub Sorry for your loss Tackiness? I think your companies approach has more to do with the computer age than lack of tact. One Jump Wonder
  4. MJ To bad about the long drive to the DZ or I'd tell you to leave the hottie at home. Free Tandem One Jump Wonder
  5. I don't know the pilots involved but according to the press the Pilot in command had 20,000 flt hrs,& 25yr's with the company. I think he he was at the top of the food chain at NW and now may have to look for s second career. I've tried multi tasking on my couch. TV, Lap top, listening to wife talking and chewing gum. Was able to go thru the motions but realy only able to do one thing well chewing gum and was still able to fall asleep at the key board. Trivia: The Pilot in command lives less than 10 miles from us. 6. Hi Tink Did you get the Halo helmet with the rig? One Jump Wonder
  7. Not at all. I'm just curious why you chose this forum, since it doesn't seem to be the right place for this topic. I'm curious why a Mod hasn't switched this thread from SC to the bonfire. Would that be first One Jump Wonder
  8. I bet the rest of the teams backs were sore from weighting up THAT much ;) OTOH maybe the mom to be just didn't have to add lead to keep up with her team mates due to baby on board One Jump Wonder
  9. Hi Tink Please talk to your instructor before you jump that thing One Jump Wonder
  10. I can't resist the urge to laugh at the idea of a guy with a D license and 25 years in the sport asking how to spot. Kevin K. Hi K Be nice All of the "back in the day" stuff isn't equal. Older than dirt Way back in the day Back in the day etc etc. I wouldn't be surpised if some folks think "back in the day" was 5-10 yr's ago. Remember when a person got pied for 1000 jumps "back in the day" Somewher "back in the day" it got changed to 100 jumps FWIW I've never been pied and I've got over 100 jumps
  11. Oh yes, he's back in school, learning marketable skills. Im glad he's finally doing something to make you proud Yeah.. I was going to say the same thing.. Kallend doesn't seem to appreciate all the stuff one achieves in the military - sounds like a typical civvy. Education is great - don't get me wrong.. But it's no substitute for life experience. Some jobs in the military just like in real world are dead end shit jobs. Don't like your shit job in the military OK want to quit and go home no problem take this DD with you. On the history channel theres a show about Aircraft carriers. I wasn't in the navy but based on my experience in the air force they shows gives a balanced explanation of a lot of the different jobs on the ship. From the top officer, flt crews, different enlisted from hi tech all the way down to the dudes that clean the toilets. Care to guess how many toilets are on a acft carrier? The toilet bowl sailor that was interviewed didn't appear to appreciate all the life experiences he was achieveing in the high tech navy. The kid had a dead end shit job. Some jobs in the real world are like that but in the military you sign a 4 yr contract. And in the middle of the ocean you can't blow off steam at night or weekends. I don't know what a sailor has to do to end up being a deck ape but OMFG in the middle of the ocean surrounded by all those toilets. thats a life experience I could do without. So many toilets, and so little time I don't think the toilet sailors family was proud of what he achieved in the military. One Jump Wonder
  12. so has he already been awarded his Eagle, Globe, and Anchor? the way i understand it, he's going to join after his wedding. can't wear the uniform until it's earned. Maybe his recruiter gave him "Special permission" to sign on the dotted line.[/reply i may be one of the most de-motivated Marines in the entire Corps, but i still have service pride. no one should wear the uniform i paid for with much sweat and tears without earning it too. Hi PCR I agree 100% in the best of times & 110% in the present enviroment. But does that mean we can't crack jokes about the extent that recruiters could go to close a deal. One Jump Wonder

  21. Thats exactly what they want you to do. Any money they spend on this promo will be paid back ten fold. Thats good advertising. Remember what happened a couple of years ago at Walter Reed Army hospital and all the bigs wigs getting their photo ops visiting the amputee's in the state of the art facility returning from Iraq. The Washington Post blew the lid on that BS with the pics and story of the Med Hold unit across the street. How bad was it? Bad enough that a couple of generals lost there jobs. After that fire got put out Our wounded vets, and their families are still falling thru the cracks, and you all are being distracted by PR (propaganda)BS. One Jump Wonder
  22. Sound like a troll to me but I'll take stab at it. The JR plan will only work if the person is a head of lettuce and doesn't care about their credit rateing or their quality of long term care. A person goes to the ER without insurance will be billed for the services recieved at full price. After three month's the unpaided bill will be turneed over to a collection agency and the persons FICO score will go to shit for a long time. If you don't want to pay your bills go for it.
