I know exactly how you feel. I've been burgled twice in the last fifteen years. On the second occasion,the police accused me of trying to pull an insurance scam. That accusation nearly made me do something really stupid[temper temper]. However,time is a good healer and tho in the ideal world it would be nice to leave the house unlocked these things tend to make you wise up to security and make things more difficult for a would be thief in the future.. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

Agreed...some designs are aerodynamicly superior to other designs. Say,the ka is aerodynamicly superior to the Stiletto and in your experience,the Pilot for example. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

Yes,in case of ka vs st but you'd expect that of the ka,but again, when you pull on the rears you distort the shape of the canopy and a steeper trimmed canopy will distort more to achieve a 'flat' glide period. However the distortion produced could form a more efficient wing but i doubt this is the case. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

Think about how the shape of a canopy distorts when you pull down on the rears. To flatten out the glide of a steeper trimmed canopy=more distortion to the shape of the canopy when compared to a canopy that is trimmed flatter to begin with. Bill is right imo. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

I'm sure you've seen from the reviews they're both good canopies and certainly in a class of they're own for non crossbraced. Try to demo both and see what you prefer. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

How do you work up the nerve to jump again?

Unfortunately everytime you climb into an aircraft or even a car for instance,there is always a risk of death. Skydiving is a very dangerous sport as i'm sure you know and if you're going to jump again you're going to have to accept the 'risks'associated with the sport and hopefully manage those risks and even so shit happens. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER. -
I can appreciate your reasoning for not wearing your camera helmet on take off if that's the case,the design of the stills camera mount sounds potentially lethal in crash sitution,especially if not secured. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

Something i found has helped me greatly in my progression is watching others land and i can honestly say i,ve seen professional camera guys out perform many a x-braced pilot at landing time with their PD Spectre's Point is,i think you should really learn to consistently 'MAX' out what ever canopy you are flying. I believe this approach will rewarding down the line to smaller,faster wings competition wings. Knowing how to fly what you got will help you immensly when that time comes. For the record,i have approx 500 jumps under a Crossfire2 129@1.65 +/- since 2003 I love this canopy and i'm still progressing with it so therefore have no real desire to jump 'the next best thing' .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.
