1,000 beers drank (My felt like it anyway on Sunday) : 14 jumps : No beer owed... Mostly workin my tush off this weekend. Good AFF particularly one really fun level 3 with Titaniumlegs on main side. Did my 2000th jump early Sunday morning by doing a tandem. Oh a special note: Congrats to Phlip who passed his AFF Instructor Certification at Davis this weekend. Right on Brother!! A noice 13 way tracking dive to finish the weekend. nice to finally get in on a jump with Chopchop... Overall pleasant summer weekend. On Staurday night we found out about Roger. We had a moment of silence in his honor... Followed by many beers being toasted and tipped for that matter. As long as we have as much love as we seem to have for eachother and continue to our sport, our passion, our hobby, whatever you call skydiving will endure these sad tests... ~Peace~

Hey Dave congrats on your Tandem rating. Getting mine has been very rewarding. Just be prepared for the unexpected. You just never ever know when you may need to execute emergency procedures. Remember that a tandem skydive is not your skydive. It is your pasengers dive. Let them have the glory and the camera's attention. Pull high. Make sure you are prepared to exit the plane before you get in and take off... Think who it is appropriate to joke with and who not... Think of yourself as an ambassador to the sport. You will be many peoples first experience in the skydiving world... Have fun brother and be safe...

I met Roger several years ago in Monterey. He brought an Otter or two out one winter. What a awesome man. Took me under his wing and kept safe in the base of some 20-30 ways when I was just beggining to skydive. Man I thought he was the coolest. I've been wanting to come to SDC just so I could meet him again. He had quite an impact on me in just the two weekends I met him... I am sad for this loss... My deepest sympathies to family and friends. Eternal Blue Skies Brother... Eternal Blue Skies... -
