where the heck were you when i used to was a commodity relocation engineer? i remember going down i91 south of hartford on my way to new jersey with another load of pei french (sorry, freedom) fries when some guy came over the cb saying he had just been flashed by a carload of girls. they then pulled alongside the next truck in the line and flashed him. apparently the were daring each other (or just getting bolder) because after about the 6th truck or so the were more or less naked, dome light on and they were giving little shows to each truck as they pulled up beside them. the worst part was, this was all going on about half a mile ahead of me ( i could see the car with the dome light on) and i just couldn't get around enough traffic to catch up to them. story of my life. I think MyOwnWay is bucking for her own Guy Card. you may (probably) go through a proxy server to get online. they just check the logs, probably generate reports based on ip's to find the culprits. one little hint. i turn off images in my browser, so when i hit a page here, all that shows up in the proxy logs is the page itself, not the page, 8 different smileys, logs, ads etc. "Hang on a sec, the young'uns are throwin' beer cans at a golf cart." in canada, completion of the pff program (7 levels), plus the iad jumps you have to make before you begin, more or less qualify you for a solo certificate. there is a written test and a couple of other pre-requisites, but that's it. at this point, you can jump by yourself unsupervised, although generally only at the dz that issued the certificate. other dz's may require a coach jump to see how you make out. these solos are not required, but are a good break to practice your maneuver series and just have fun before you get back into the program to get your a. before you can get your a, there are a number of pre-requisites, including 5 coach jumps (levels actually, may take more than 5 jumps to complete them) to get signed of for 1-1 rw. you also have a written test, a minimum freefall time, a maneuver series and 10 landings within 10m of the target. not my own idea, but since we're talking ultimate dz here, how about a pair of 10000' runways meeting at right angles at their center, with all dz builidngs located at the intersection. that way no matter what direction the wind was blowing, the plane could land into the wind, stop at the boarding area, then take off without having to taxi anywhere. you'd also end up with 4 square miles of landing area. some strategically located tunnels would allow people to cross runways safely.
