  3. ...that you clicked with on every level, and for some reason weren't able to be with them due to various issues, whether it's long distance, family issues, etc? Fast forward 8 years. Both those people still haven't found anyone they clicked with that well, and all of a sudden long distance & family might not be an issue anymore. Would you propose to them, knowing they feel the same way, and knowing they'd say yes 100%?
  4. What electronic gadget's proportions are based on the Golden Ratio? Millions of people every day use it in cars, trains, when walking, etc....
  5. Tomorrow morning I will....not at 1226am. I'd rather be doing other things right now, but that's not an option right now. So I definitely won't put on my clothes to go outside into the freezing cold and de-smell my car.
  6. ...a car that still smells like gasoline...plus Febreeze... Had to take the leaf blower to the repair shop today. Checked to make sure that the gas/oil caps were closed, put it in my car, two minutes later I hear....plop...plop...plop...plop...plop...of course the bastard started leaking gas. So after getting to the repair shop I drove home, and decided to spray some Febreeze to get rid of the gas smell. Still smells like gas (even after parking it outside w/ open windows for a few hours) and now...FEBREEZE!!! AHHH!!! Any suggestions on getting the smell out?
  7. Good thoughts and prayers for your friend and his family/friends. Hope he pulls out of it quickly! WBC is short for White Blood Cells, which are part of the immune system and defend the body against various diseases. A WBC count is the total amount of white blood cells. Having an extremely high amount of WBC's can be an indication of an infection/diseases, such as what your friend is experiencing. In this case if the amount of WBC is dropping, it could mean that his immune system is successfully fighting the disease and the disease is subsiding. Just a thought..and here's to hoping that he gets healthy quickly.
  8. Yes it should be. I was going to write 'what's your favorite piece of art, changed it to 'artist' at last moment, and forgot to change 'what's'. Doh!
  9. Your humor is inappropriate, corny, and pathetic. I love it.
  10. Well at this point she has decided to keep quiet for a little while, esp. with Thanksgiving and holidays coming up. She is planning to use that time to collect some more 'information.' And she's also planning to talk to a lawyer. In her field, she's seen too many cases where an older husband/younger wife divorce (she's turning 60 soon and he's 72 and not in great health), and because of age/health issues, the husband got a bigger share of the divorce settlement. My mom brings in probably 70-80% of the household income, so she wants to talk to a lawyer to find out what the law is here in terms of divorces, cheating, etc. My stepdad isn't a very ethical man in general (as some of you might have guessed) and if it DOES get to divorce, he'll be as unethical as humanly possible.
  11. My humor. I am a very sarcastic person, and I blame my mom and her parents for it! I am worried that my humor will either offend people or they will not get it and think I am weird. The way I put it: my sense of humor is an acquired taste. Too bad no-one has acquired it yet.
  12. I know it's hard to name just one...so name a few of your favorite artists. My two favorites M.C.Escher - I love his work because it is such a unique and deceptive style. His work plays with your perception every time you look at it, and makes you discover something new. Drives me every time. Salvador Dali - I love his work for its color/dynamic, and his use of symbolism. The fact that surrealism is one of my favorite artistic movements has nothing to do with it, I swear!! Who's your favorite artist/artists, and why?
  13. thanks Mama, and I'm sorry you've had to deal with this not once, but twice in your life. As strange as it may sound, at this point I don't care what happens in my relationship with him. I do care what happens between my mom and him. My mother definitely comes first in this situation.
  14. Wanted to say thank you for the advice and kind words from those who've sent me some PMs, and a quick update. Met with him, he denied everything, lied to my face, etc. Next day I talked to my mom. Told her everything, showed her the proof. She's planning to sleep on it for a few days to decide what to do. Her reaction was not the typical one. She laughed, called him a ****ing idiot, said she's been suspecting it for a while now, and thanked me for being in her corner. Knowing what their relationship has been like, I'm not surprised at her seemingly reserved reaction. The kicker? I told my stepbrother, who I thought deserved to know what's going on, and he is taking my mom's side 100%. Considering she's been more than a real mother to him, I'm not surprised. Once again, thank you everyone for your advice.
  15. Wait...1 skydiver...1 main canopy...2 reserves...something's wrong here.
  16. No offense taken, but thanks for the preemptive apology. He is not psychotic/violent. He has a hot temper, but he cools off as quickly as he gets hot. Then again, do you ever really know what someone is capable of until they are in the context of the situation. Am I sure that he will not become violent towards my mother? 99.9% sure that he won't. But that .1% makes me wonder. To another reply in this thread: No I am not female. My thought is still to try to keep my mom out of this UNLESS he doesn't quit cheating.
  17. You're saying that I shouldn't just talk to him, but also tell him that either he tells her or i will, within a certain time? There are other complications here, and due to those very complications I really want to keep her out of this. THe proof that I have doesn't directly state that they've had physical contact, but it does clearly show him asking for it and telling her he's in love with her. To me that's cheating, even if there was no physical contact.
  18. If dogs love sticking their head out of the window of a moving car, why do they had it so much when you blow in their face(snout, muzzle??)?
  19. To her or to him? I really want to keep her out of it, AS LONG as I can get some sort of proof he WILL stop what he's doing. If I have to, I'll go to the other woman first to tell her to stop, before I go to my mom.
  20. I just spit my tea out on my monitor...that's classic!!
  21. Never thought I would be dealing with this, but I caught my step-father cheating. He doesn't know it yet, & without getting into how the proof came into my possession, it's 100% spelled out that he's cheating. Asking another woman for sex and telling her you're in love with her is cheating in my book! My thought was to ask him to meet me for a drink this weekend, outside of the house, so we're in a public place, and pretty much ask him "Who is such and such and what's your relationship with her?" and let him do the talking. Then I would give him a day or two to show me some sort of proof that he has called it off, that it's over, and that he would swear never to cheat again. Not sure what other kind of 'proof' I can ask from him to show me that it's over, but that's the plan so far. My mom already has enough stress in her life from him; she's also having a tough time with her mom (my grandma) who's 87 and in not so fantastic health. I an very close with mom & want to keep her out of it, if I can help it. But if he denies cheating, and refuses to break it off, should I ignore it? Should I go to her? Should I talk to the other woman and tell HER to break it off? Suggestions would be appreciated...
