Did you type that right John? This is a tandem main? 240 sq ft? Surely you mean 340? If not, what's the maximum suspended weight? Skydiving Fatalities - Cease not to learn 'til thou cease to live

Would you buy a new PD reserve because it packs smaller?

From Bushman's comments, I think it is safe to assume that it is going to be significantly more expensive, at least in the short term. Skydiving Fatalities - Cease not to learn 'til thou cease to live -

Would anyone from PD care to comment on the results of the survey? I'm guessing a lot of people would, but that's because I would (although I look at it the other way, I'm looking to downsize soon and it's more a "would I buy a new PD reserve that packs smaller if it meant I could get a smaller container"). PD should run a survey on their website. I would imagine that the sample of people going to the PIA are more your full-timers in the industry type rather than your average skydiver, who would be more interested in smaller packing, big reserve. In fact, I think I'll go and post a poll on this forum. Skydiving Fatalities - Cease not to learn 'til thou cease to live

I'd like to see a chest strap buckle on a Javelin that allows a 1" (type 17?) chest strap to be folded over (tacked) and still be able to pass through the buckle. I lost a hook knife when I jumped a demo Odyssey at the Eloy Christmas Boogie when I loosened the chest strap after opening and it came straight out of the buckle! Grrrr! I'd also like to see the closing loop mounted on the container flaps rather than at the base. It's a pain keeping it from interfering with the lines when you put the bag in the container. I'd also like to say a flap that tucks up. A Javelin would still be unique with it's style and materials even with these "common" features. He posted about it on rec.skydiving a while ago. I'm sure he posted the XL macro somewhere but I can't find it at the moment and he never did put the "detailed manual on how to smoothly blend data in a video" on his website. He's a recent poster to this website so maybe he'll pop by this thread and let us know? Skydiving Fatalities - Cease not to learn 'til thou cease to live

Could this really happen to/with any other rig (long)

It looks to me like he's trying to stow his cutaway before he pulls his reserve. Can that be right? Skydiving Fatalities - Cease not to learn 'til thou cease to live -

Don't they close the pool, whilst the majority of the membership are there i.e. saturday, after a certain ex-pat gear manufacturer decided to go for a naked swim whilst intoxicated a few years ago or this that just an AGM urban myth?! A friend of mine had an interesting exit from a skyvan during the Christmas Boogie at Eloy. She gets bumped on exit and gets in a bit of spin. She is a proficient and experienced wingsuit flier, however looking down at her handles when cutting away her wings doesn't help her get out of the spin and neither does not tucking up the legs. Some may remember the post (with video) I made about getting in a spin from the Hercules where you can see the effectiveness of balling up to get out of spin. Being in a spin is scary. It happens very quickly and that is not the time to wonder about getting out of it, so be prepared! Thanks to Diane for letting me post this video for the education of others and thanks to the cameraman, EvilIvan Anyway, the video is available on SkydivingMovies.com Skydiving Fatalities - Cease not to learn 'til thou cease to live

RAPA. Slightly misleading as it's not a mainland DZ. Read this interesting post Oh yes, and I'll be at the AGM as well, with my drinking trousers on! Skydiving Fatalities - Cease not to learn 'til thou cease to live

Hey Liz, Congratulations for the 1000th! Thanks for letting me come along, I had loads of fun! Shame we didn't get any inside camera. Didn't get a chance to show the video before I left (can email an MPEG if you want?) but here are a few shots from my camera. Also shame the boogie ceiling didn't allow you to dump out of the middle but it was still cool seeing you spin around in there before tracking off! And thanks for organising the Brit way too. Anyone got an email from Nige yet with the pics? Skydiving Fatalities - Cease not to learn 'til thou cease to live

Still not got mine :-( Are the participant's DVDs being shipped from Florida or Finland? Was hoping to see it before Christmas. Will anyone going to the boogie at Eloy be able to bring their copy along? JP? Or are you on the road already? Skydiving Fatalities - Cease not to learn 'til thou cease to live

Will, I'm bringing ALL of my suits (in fact, you are probably going to carry a couple of them in your luggage! :-P), so once you get current again, we can progress you all the way up to JP's S3! Skydiving Fatalities - Cease not to learn 'til thou cease to live
