  1. I understand your position, Ron. Next time I see a student exhibiting signs of stress just before deployment after 90 seconds of freefall, I'm gonna make him get back in the aircraft and ride it down. I'm with Ron. You said he was exhbiting signs of stress (ergo not breathing) on the tracking jump. I would have sorted that before moving onto a more complex skydive. No, I didn't say that. The first sign of not breathing was near deployment time on the wingsuit jump/first flight. His tracking dive was near perfect. Aplogies. Reading comprehension failure. 5. Actually, I'm locking this thread. The initial message is done. Now it's just going off topic with the same old axe grinding. Skydiving Fatalities - Cease not to learn 'til thou cease to live
  6. Hmm, thought I'd tried that first, that's when I renamed the file extension and tried opening. Maybe not. It's working now Could it also provide zoom and pan controls on the map and imperial/metric options for the units please? Skydiving Fatalities - Cease not to learn 'til thou cease to live
  7. Nor me. The program only allows .fly file types to be opened. If I rename the .csv to .fly I get the message, "Unsupported fileformat". Skydiving Fatalities - Cease not to learn 'til thou cease to live

  9. Skydive Spain is not a BPA dropzone. It has BPA instructors (including an Advanced instructor) and is owned and operated by people who own and run a BPA dropzone in the UK. But it is not a BPA dropzone. Skydiving Fatalities - Cease not to learn 'til thou cease to live

  11. Yet you know the generally accepted requirement for jumping camera, the general attitude towards those who don't respect that on these forums and you put "flame on" in the first post. There's no need to rehash the camera argument so let's stay away from that in this thread Skydiving Fatalities - Cease not to learn 'til thou cease to live

  15. yeah well a wing loaded 1.9 is a bit different animal :) I suppose the reason for cutaway was the lack of altitude for controllability testing. What altitude were you at? Can see you checking your altimeter but can't make it out. Has your hard deck changed with the SkyHook? Skydiving Fatalities - Cease not to learn 'til thou cease to live
  16. I bought one of these and it has arrived; just in time for the 25-way WS diamond event at Sibson this weekend, where I hope to be putting it through its paces! Anybody who is interested in having a look, please ask. Skydiving Fatalities - Cease not to learn 'til thou cease to live
  17. Ahh right, that would make sense. Still, the Sigma has pop-studs to help with this? Not smooth to disconnect and re-snap the pop-studs before the student moves away. Skydiving Fatalities - Cease not to learn 'til thou cease to live
  18. Or you could hook the connectors back onto the rings on the student harness. Or leave the connectors in the tightened down position so that they remain close to the body? I hate seeing students walking back in with the connectors at the end of the laterals swinging about banging into their legs. Skydiving Fatalities - Cease not to learn 'til thou cease to live

  23. People with larger format cameras make more effort snag proofing them. Or rather, the converse, people think they don't need to snag proof a smaller camera, because it's smaller and "less likely to snag" or the "mount will snap".
