Do you have links to any clubs that have such a room? I was curious so I started googling different searches and did not find any hits other than in medical research. Like this http://www.altitudecentre.com Skydiving Fatalities - Cease not to learn 'til thou cease to live -

"There's none so blind as those who will not see" I think we're done here as we are going round in circles. VB seems blithely oblivious. As much as it pains me to use it as an example but even guys with 15k+ jumps make mistakes I don't know if you are alluding to a banning with your reference to a holiday but I'm not going to ban you for your obvious personal attack and your antagonism. Be aware that we don't take kindly to people who think a time-out is worth the attack, and will reluctantly permanently ban people who wish to push the rules. You are wearing very thin.Be careful what you wish for. Also a banning means you won't have access to information that might make a difference. Wise up. With that paint job, it's very apparent where it is from! Especially after a recent well-publicised spin video. It's not a Porter. Skydiving Fatalities - Cease not to learn 'til thou cease to live

Leaders should lead by example. These are guys working in the sport, it should be no problem for them to obtain more suitable equipment. Especially if they are expecting the guys who are already paying to work their way through the camps, and do the big ways to do the same, who are less likely to have more suitable gear as readily available to them. Full face helmets and AADs are mandatory for big ways. Why not specified wing loadings? I heard of one guy getting benched at the recent CSR 200-way for having an older rig with poor pin protection. When you get to these sizes everything is about safety and logistics. I don't really buy the separation argument. There's should be enough range between 1.25 to 1.75 without having people outside that. I appreciate there's a risk with unfamiliar gear, but it's easy to get familiar on gear before an event. Is it that much effort? People will argue that their high performance main opens better than anything else, but is it really worth having people at the extreme end of the performance envelope at such high profile, critical events? It seems the only argument for exceeding wing loading guidelines is inconvenience and that shouldn't be a reason. Skydiving Fatalities - Cease not to learn 'til thou cease to live

I thought the wing loadings were requirements too, but I just checked the Dubai 500 application and it says, So, only recommended, not required. Perhaps that should change. Skydiving Fatalities - Cease not to learn 'til thou cease to live

Tell me non UK skydiving isn't like this

What's your experience of the BPA Grimmie or are you just repeating a tired cliché?[/ None, darn it, you caught me. The way that the BPA keep on introducing more and more regulations which a cynic may well be justified to think is a money making exercise with safety utilised as an excuse. How does the BPA make money out of more regulation? Improved safety, leads to a reduction in incidents, which results in reduced insurance premiums saving everyone money. You have a very narrow view. I can think of rules that affect those "up the ladder" too. The BPA are well aware of the issues affecting membership numbers. Skydiving Fatalities - Cease not to learn 'til thou cease to live -

Yes, that's right because nobody really wants to go skydiving over here or make any money. Brilliant use of stereotyping to add credibility to your argument by the way. Skydiving Fatalities - Cease not to learn 'til thou cease to live -

You do realize he is green don't you? AND he's not advertising for himself, he's talking about a positive experience he had with another company. That is totally allowed and encouraged. Advertising for yourself is not allowed and completely discouraged. What Dave said. And being a mod shouldn't be a valid reason for breaking rules. I'm happy to be picked up on any transgression Oh, and I saw some VSE pull ups today which I think are done by the same guy. Skydiving Fatalities - Cease not to learn 'til thou cease to live

I recently needed to have some custom pull-ups produced. There's a few threads if you search about custom pull-ups and most of them reference www.endangerous.com. Having used them, I've had great service from Endangerous. But recently there have been some new really nice pull-ups floating around. The Airtec, Aerodyne, UPT and PD ones. A little bit of digging turned out that they are all produced by the same guy, Grzegorz "Janki" Jankiewicz in Poland. They are great quality pull-ups both in look and feel. If you've seen any of the pull ups you will now that. They come in two formats "standard" and "satin". I think the standard ones actually feel nicer than the satin ones. The benefit to the satin ones is you can get more details images printed. In the attached picture, the Aerodyne and Airtec ones are satin and the UPT, PD and BPA ones are standard. Janki offers a great service, even added some really nice design details to the BPA pull-ups (unfortunately they're not clear on the photo as it's a bit washed out; you'll have to take my word for it) which really made them stand out. Also sizing and printing the design leaving gaps to make it easy to determine where to cut them. As you can see, there can be different designs on either sides and colours aren't a problem. The only thing he doesn't do is cut them! So you'll need a good hot knife and some spare time or a some helpful volunteers! Oh and I recommend to alternate the angle of the cut so they line up when you fold the pull-up through the loop (sorry, OCD). Prices are very good ranging from 1.1 to 1.36 Polish złoty (PLN - Google it for the exchange rate as it fluctuates) per metre. The 100 PLN design fee is waived for orders of 3000 metres or more. If you are looking for pull-ups, I definitely also recommend Janki. You can contact him on janki (at) op (dot) pl Skydiving Fatalities - Cease not to learn 'til thou cease to live

This thread on UKSKydiver seems to indicate that Columbus only cover a couple of static-line jumps. I recommend BUPA IHI with the hazardous sports coverage. More expensive in the first year, but discount kicks in in the second. Skydiving Fatalities - Cease not to learn 'til thou cease to live
