Bullshit. The Customer is usually the one getting screwed. The fraud was the Website they first thought they were calling. It didn’t really exist. Now that they have bought their non-refundable ticket.. And paid for Extra altitude, weather insurance, Big Plane Fees, Gear rental and whatever else Skyride could tack onto the cost of a Jump, They now have to drive sometimes many hours away to a place that will take the certs. Also Jumpers are getting screwed. See Skyride is suing USPA for $10,000,000. It costs all of us money to defend against that lawsuit. They are suing because the USPA Took a stand against their deceptive and fraudulent practices and kicked thier ass out. Supporting a dishonest business is never the right thing to do.

But YOU did what you knew was right. That is all any of us can really do. California is really a tough situation because the jumpers don’t seem to have a choice. I understand that not jumping at all vs Jumping at a Skyride affiliate is a no-brainer. Of course people will jump I just hope that they will continue to point out to their DZO`s the kind of behavior they are sanctioning by accepting these certificates.

Tall women can be spun too, They just have to hold thier legs a little higher so they dont kick you the nose as they go around.

And I even very recently discovered that some of said Spinners have never even been properly Spun. And that is a real crime.

I was also suprised about perris. I heard this weekend from someone that was present when "the owner of Perris" stood up at a meeting of DZO`s and stated they would no longer accept Skyride. I am shocked they have not followed through with that stance.

Then the jumpers can just try to make the DZO`s see that they in bed with a very unethical company. I realize the locals have no real choice as all DZ`s are guilty out there. The slogan for the Tee shirts I am considering is: If you have a choice, Jump Elsewhere. Do not support Skyride. And then have the full list of DZ`s with the Skyride affiliates in Red. That is certainly your choice. Others of us will stand up for what is right and try to make a difference. I am sure the vast majority will do what you are choosing to do. If you do choose to jump at Skyride Affiliates, Atleast try to talk to the DZO if you get a chance and ask them if the Ends truly justifies the Means. Make sure they know about the company they are doing business with.

It all boils down to personal integrity. This is about not supporting dishonest businesses. If a DZ takes Skyride, They have integrity issues. If a Jumper supports a DZ that takes Skyride, the same could be said about them. The only way that we as jumpers can do anything about this problem is to vote with our feet. Do not support DZO`s that Support Skyride. It may not make any difference at all, They may just say Good riddance to you. But atleast you will know you did the right thing.

If the information is sent to me from someone that I know and trust, And they say it is confirmed, I am taking them at their word. Others I am personally verifying by calling. This is a group effort and I am hoping that others will step up and make some calls as well. Before printing the Teeshirts, I will make every effort to contact the DZs directly if there is any doubt. I completely agree that calling an Honest Dropzone a Skyride affiliate is not nice at all.

When SM1 shows up, I highly recommend that you hold on tightly, keep your hands and Feet inside the ride at all times, Keep your seat belt securely fastened and wear a helmet.

The list is Far from complete. Everyone PLEASE keep the information coming. Again, I am Looking for CONFIRMED information. These shirts will be sold at cost and I hope that people will wear them out to their Dropzones and any Boogies to help get the word out to Jumpers that do not post here. If you see you Dropzone listed as a place that takes skyride, Talk to your DZO and make sure they know that they are dealing with a company known for Fraud and Deception. If they know this and continue to do business with Skyride, Please consider spending your time and money a Dropzone with some integrity.

You completely miss the point. Skyride generates their business through Fraud and deception. It is not just a matter of the customer did not do their homework. The customers are LIED to from the very beginning. Take the Skydive Spokane example Dave gave earlier. IT you visit a website called Skydive Spokane, Would it not be reasonable to assume that a)There is such a Place and B) that place would be somewhere reasonably near to Spokane?? The fact that No such place actually exists and that Skyride affiliate is 100`s of miles away is Deception. They take the customers money and then refuse to refund the money when the customer finds out the truth and that is Fraud. Dropzones that are affiliates for Skyride also guilty for getting involved with a company that is based on Fraud and Deception. Even the webpages they use for their fake Dropzones were either stolen from Real Dropzone and/or Jumpers and the Pictures they use to perpetuate their lies are also Stolen. This not about BUSINESS. This is about a company that lies, cheats and steals to make money. The dropzones that do business with this company knowing their history are absolutely no better than the Skyride because they are knowingly profiting from Skyrides Lies. Jumpers should know if their Dropzones take Skyride or Not so that the can make an Informed decision if they want to continue to support this behavior. That is why I have the State by State List started in General Skydiving listing the Dropzones that DO take skyride and those that do not. That way jumpers can see their options.
