I feel the exact opposite for the same reason. I have a Huge Collection of MP3`s (80+ gig) and a 4gig iPOD. Huge Pain in the ass everytime I want to change out some of the songs on the iPod. I dont have time to Manage a "Library" in iTunes (or any other Ap for that matter). Last time I tried to do that I wasted over 20 Hours trying to play by Apples Rules and use iTunes to load my iPod. MAJOR Pain in the ass. Anapod Explorer does make this easier but still not as good as other MP3 players that you simply plug in and they show up as a Drive. With those MP3 Players it is very simple to delete the songs I want take off the Player and copy over the songs I would like to add. Other MAJOR short coming of the iPOD: Battery is not easily replaceable. Does not play WMA songs (I bought a BUNCH of song off Napster when I first got my iPod, Only to find out after the fact that they could not be played on an iPod (But work on every other MP3 player on the market) and could not be converted to MP3 format because they are legally purchased rights managed songs. Cannot be used to move songs from one computer to another. (If I want to transfer some music from my Home PC to my Work PC.. Dont even think about it with an IPod (Easily done with other MP3 Players) Overpriced and fewer features in general and iTunes completely SUCKS. The last time I saw such an inferior product dominate the market like this was when VHS beat out the clearly superior BetaMax.

Kitty Treats that I have already tried: Jello-Shots (Fairly effective) Cheese Cake (Moderately effective) Patron (Somewhat effective) Shiner Bock (only works for one of the kitties) And I still havent had a Kitty curl up in my lap and Puurrrrrr. Might just have to try the Catnip next and see if that works.

Get me on the List. I am currently working on getting some Sponsorship for this Years Charity Poker Tournament. Pokerstars should be sending a Goodie Package as well as a couple other sites that I have contacted. The Tournament will be very similar to last year. We will run 3 One Table Tournaments (One each Night) with the top 3 Finishers advancing to the Final Table. $20 Buy-in and 100% of the money will be donated to Charity. A 10th Seat will be auctioned off at the Final Table and that money will also go to Charity. Prizes will be given to all Final Table Participants. Trophies and other Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers from the Final Table. Also there will be a Poker Seminar offered this year. Intermediate Poker Theory (Pot Odds, Positional Play, Player Types, Power Plays and strategy). I am Limiting the Seminar to 20 People. If you want to improve your game, I guarantee you will learn something in this seminar. This will be offered on Thursday Night before the start of first Tournament. PM me if you want to attend so I can hold a spot for you. If there is enough demand, I may do a shorter seminar on Friday night as well. I do respect your opinion but I do disagree. The advantage is that it saves me a couple Hours waiting around the airport. If I am Checking Bags, I have to stand in Line when I get to the airport to check the bag and then wait around an extra 30 minutes to an Hour to claim that bag at my destination. This could be up to 4 Hours total wasted on a Round trip. I see saving that time as a huge advantage. The Rules Clearly state specifically that a Rig is a Permitted Carry-on Item. No Need to hide it.

Book had such a Small Part in the Movie. I was really disapointed they didnt do more with his back Story. Maybe that will play into one of the furture Movies.

Not at all. It is the exact same. The same Drivers were at the Street Races that you saw at the Track. In fact it was always crystal clear at the track which cars were also races on the Street. They would have N/T on the windows and only make solo passes during Test and Tune. The N/T was so that the Tower would not call out their Time. A Street Racer NEVER wants anyone to really know how fast their car really is. They would hone their SKILLS and get their Cars ready for going back to the Street Races where they could make some real Money. Same Cars. Same Drivers. Same Skill Set. In fact many of the street racers were Much better drivers than some of the Track Only Pro and Semi-Pro Drivers. They found that Street Racing was a Better was to pay for their Toys. My Whole point in this thread is a)Drag Racing takes alot more Skill than most people will ever understand (Alot like Skydiving) and B) Not all Street Racers are Idiots that put the general Public in danger.

Street Racing is more about Building the best car that Driver Skill. True most any idiot Stand on the GAs and try to keep it straight. But Drag Racing in general requires a Hell of alot more skill than Most people would realize. Again.. Wins or Losses are determined by 100ths or even 1000ths of a second. Reaction times are critical. The advent of Delay Boxes, Throttle stops, Stutter Boxes, Rev Limiters, Trans Brakes and other such things have taken alot of the driver skill out of the picture and is the reason I stick to Foot-Brake Classes. I dont need a Computer driving for me even if the Computer is more consistent. Warren Johnson once said that on a Perfect Pass where nothing goes wrong.. The driver has 23 different actions to make. every one must be perfect and in his case this takes place in 6 Seconds while pulling several Gee`s. Skill. Talent and Balls. How much talent does it take to Skydive?? I mean anyone can just fall out of a Plane, Right? My Daughter Started Racing at age 8 in a Junior Dragster. By the time she was 10 she was a better driver than I will ever be and had finished #6 in the Nation (Better instinct and Better reaction Times). By 11 She was Running 8:90`s in the 1/8 mile at 80+mph (Faster and quicker than many of these Hot Rod Mustangs you see running around). Unfortunately, She was Burnout from racing by 12 and is taking a few years off. Watching her progression really showed me how much Skill and Talent was involved in becoming a better Driver. I have never said that Drag Racers are any better than Road Racers. I Freely admit that Road Racing takes a great deal of Skill. But until you spend a while drag Racing and learning the subtleties of the Sport.. I wouldn’t be so quick to say that it doesn’t take skill.

Anyone putting the general Public at risk for their own Ego rush is an Idiot in my opinion. I do not know Darius or the situation where he was racing or if there were other cars around. I am not making any sort of personal attack just stating the opinion of someone who once considered himself a Street Racer on people in general who race off Traffic Lights on an Open Public Road where others are put in danger. Saying All Street Racers are Idiots is a lot like saying all Base Jumpers are Idiots. Both are inherently dangerous and illegal activities that can be done relatively safely if the proper precautions are taken. Every Situation is unique.

The people that you are referring to are Laughed at by serious Street Racers. When I was involved in Street Racing it was long before Fast and Furious. The Street Racers were very organized. When a Race was Set up, It was always in a Relatively safe Place and NOT on a open public road. There was an extra element of Excitement because of the Chance of getting caught but the general Public was NOT put in Danger. The Redlight to Redlight - Rev your engine "Wanna Race" kids are NOT street racers. They are Idiots. When some Kid would pull beside me and start that shit, I would try to get thier attention and tell them were we would be that weekend. IF they had CASH and wanted to run... Bring it. Otherwise.. Forget it. Once I did finally get Caught (Just a Matter of Time) and Finally got my License back, I gave it up. Why did we do it?? IN Atlanta there were Two Dragstrips. One was in Commerse GA and was a two Hour Drive from the City and generally focused on NHRA Events. The other in Dallas GA was a Small and VERY overcrowded Track. At least 150 cars showed up every weekend and You would wait Hours in between Runs. Also Sportsman Class Racers (Street Legal) were the Lowest priority and treated like shit by Track Officials. the Alternative was to go down to Moreland Ave in downtown Atlanta and Find out where the Street Racers were Running. All you had to do was cruise around and they would find you if you didn’t know where to go. From what I understand... This is still the way it is Done. Once you find out where the races are going on.. Put up the cash and take your shot. Again.. This was always either a Closed Industrial Park, Abandoned Shopping Center or other suitable Place. Like I said before.. Street Racing is the BASE of the Auto Racing world. More Dangerous, Illegal and a Huge Rush. But if done properly is only a danger to the Participants themselves. Two Guys racing off a Random Traffic Light are NOT Street Racers. They are Idiots.
