Here area couple of very simple and basic ways to start calculating odds.. (Not always 100% accurate but a good general rule of thumb) 1) Rule of 4 (On the Flop with two cards to come) Count the number of cards that will help you (outs) multiply it by four. This gives your percentage chance of making youy hand. Example: You flop an Open Straight Draw: 8 Outs (8x4=32), 32% chance you will get there. 2) Rule of 2.2 (One the Turn with one card to come) Count your outs and multiply by 2.2. Get the percentage chance of catching one of those outs on the river. Same example: Open Straight Draw (8 Outs) on the turn (8x2.2= 17%) chance of Hitting it on the river.

They can and do but many find ways of making money "under the table" and/or relocate to another country where they cannot be touched. I agree this is not a perfect solution but I can see some rational behind it. They dont want you to leave if you owe a bunch of money. They want the opportunity to collect it from you. They cant do that if you leave.

I used to joke with the pit bosses at the craps tables that they should pay me for relocating so much cash from the Poker room to the craps tables for them. Go sit and Grind for 10 Hours, Be waaay up, Run to the Craps table, Play for an hour and loose it almost all and then have to go back to the Poker room and take the couple hundred I have left and use it to get more money so I could come back and give it to the craps table again.

excellent point. I had not thought of that. Sadly enough, The are already involved before this point, It is the Government (Generally State Court) that set the child support to begin with. And like I said, More and more states are letting Family services handle collecting ALL child support if a custodial parent has any problems at all collecting payments. So basically you have a Govt agency (although typically at the state level) trying to collect money that is owed. It just seems reasonable to me that if you alot of money, They don’t want you leaving the country till that money is paid. (I also understand you point about work)

Definately did not have Pot odds to make the $100 call on the Flop (Cost $100 to win $130 (assuming 6 callers preflop) not counting the implied odds), The $100 Call on the Turn was a little better as your were getting a little over 2 to 1 ($100 to win $230) on your money.. Still a bad bet as you were over a 5 to 1 dog at that point (18% Chance of winning). Chasing will bite almost every time. Do the math, and only chase when you get the pot odds to do so. The last call was really the least of your problems.. You should not have been there on the river to make that mistake if you put him on a set of Aces. I am sure you have been on the other side of that at some point too.. You pick up AA, Flop a set and then you see that flush draw and know that fish is going to chase it all the way. That 5d on the river was a dream card for the guy with his set.

That depends on if the Judge issued a warrant for failure to appear if the court date is past (Typically what happens if you miss your court date as I found out the hard way many years ago. Got a Ticket for a very minor moving violation, Though the court date was a week later than it was. When I did go to court a week later, I found out that a warrant had been taken out.. Cost lots more to get MY MISTAKE corrected). An outstanding warrant is absolutely reason to deny a Passport. As for the child support thing, I agree with this. Many time Family Services ran by different states will get involved in collecting child support. They can and will Garnish wages and other things. Also failure to pay court ordered child support is a Crime and at some point a warrant should be issued (Back to the original point, an outstanding warrant is ground for denying a Passport). The problem is that judges do not like to issue warrants for non payment of child support because if the deadbeat is in Jail, they definitely cant pay. So this system seems reasonable in cases where someone significantly behind in child support, They must catch up before a Passport is given. Also it discourages deadbeats from leaving the country to avoid paying child support or going to another country to work where their wages cannot be garnished for the money owed.

I finally got cable a few moths ago.. Did the whole Cable, Phone and Internet service package. Supposed to $99 a month which sounded great. Then I added DVR (Love it but Comcast Charges $15 a month ofr it, I Think DTV was only charging $5 for TIVO which is MUCH better) The I had to have HBO because they had such great shows as Deadwood, Rome and Soprano’s.. But they canceled them all and the new shows all suck. SO added another $15.. Then I realized the cable package I bought didnt have ESPN2.. I had to have Friday night Fights. So I upgraded to the Gold level package. (Another $20 a Month) Then I bought a 42" HD Flat Panel TV so I had to have the HD Package.. (Another $15 a Month. So my super fantastic $99 a Month deal (Cable, Phone and Internet) now costs about $179 a Month after all the taxes and add-on (NOT Counting Pay-previews) I am going to Cancel HBO since their original Programming now sucks so bad and probably drop the Gold package too sine I am always at the DZ on Friday nights anyway so I don’t get to watch the fights (Well the one on the TV anyway, The ones at the DZ are free ).

Then I would suggest that you come jump the PAC 750 with us this weekend. I will make a couple hundred jello-shots for this weekend for all the Bikini clad hot chicks that hang out on my HUGE deck. I will have the pool out again this weekend to help encourage said Bikini’s.

I remember my DZO/Instructor right after I graduated AFF HIGHLY discouraging solo`s (Other than License requirement) until after you get A and even then avoid if possible for a while. He felt you learned very little on a solo because you had no point of reference in the sky. Resent AFF Grads doing solos generally will not be able to tell if they are back sliding or have any reference for maintaining/adjusting fall rate if they are jumping alone..
