    That is NOT the case here. He did what he is accused of. He is not denying it. He knowingly drove his Buddies around to commit Armed robbery. Someone got killed while they were doing this. This is NOT a case of "He might be innocent". I agree the death penalty should only be for that you are 100% sure they commited the crime. In this case everyone (including the accused) agree, He commited the crime. Driving his buddies around to commit Armed robbery and someone got Killed. In Texas, That is grounds for execution. If he didnt wwant to get executed maybe he should not have been helping his buddies commit ARMED ROBBERY. No, I little sympathy for this guy. He did it. He admits he did it. No one says he didnt do it. This isnt a case of "He is really innocent" or "He didnt do it".

    Eddie, I didnt mention ASC. I said SKYRIDE. I thought they were not the same?? But since we are talking Skyride and not ASC.. Does that include the weather insurance, Big Plane Fee and "All the way up" fee?? or is that all just for tandems? Like we have discussed many times before, The Jumpers and staff at ASC are great, No problems with them at all. But the SKYRIDE Business practices.. That is different.

    One more time for the Class.. A R M E D - R O B B E R Y!! That is what these guys were up to. That is what they were doing. Putting a Gun in Random INNOCENT people faces and threatneing to KILL Them. This guy was FULLY AWARE that is what they were doing. Not a DUI, Not A Bar Room Brawl, Not an Innocent Bystander. A Willful Partisipant in ARMED ROBBERY, Multiple Armed Robberies. He was NOT Minding his own Business and Innocent. He was Taking his Buddies around to DO BAD THINGS. I know they Claim that THIS time they were not going to Rob the guy, But that is not credible. They were following thier exact MO as the previous Robberies. Stop the car, Get out, Point Gun at VICTIM. This Time Victim is shot and killed. They are ALL Guilty of Murder. This was at Least the third time that night they had done this. If I am a WILLFUL Partisipant in ARMED ROBBERY and someone gets Killed, I Should get the Chair too. No doubt about it.

    This guy is in no way innocent. What don’t you get there?? The innocent people here were the Victims. The ones they Robbed at Gun point and the one they Murdered in his Driveway. Bad people that did bad things. Good riddance. NOT Innocent at all. CRIMINALS. Violent Criminals.

    If I am in the process of Committing Armed Robbery at the time (Or driving them around KNOWINGLY committing multiple Armed Robberies), I am already fucked. This wasn’t a guy out on a Sunday drive with his buddies. This guy was driving his buddies around looking for people to Rob at gun point (You know.. Pull up, Stick a Gun in their face and threaten to kill them if they don’t give you money). What part of that do you not get?? he Knew his buddy was Robbing people at Gun Point. He helped his Buddy Rob people at Gun Point. When someone got shot while doing this, He gets to share the penalty for doing this. I see nothing wrong with that.

    So you don’t think Locking them away is good, You don’t think Killing them is necessary.. How should we deal with criminals? You know.. The really bad people that do really bad things Like armed robbery? Or do you also think there are not really bad people in the world. They are all just victims of society?? I know.. How about we just tell them don’t do that again and let them go?

    Best Packing Teaching method I have seen is somewhat of a Barter system. We have an Old School Jumper that will take New Jumpers and teach them to pack using his Rig. They have to pack 10 times for him(That is the cost). The student get to gain confidence in their Pack jobs as someone else is jumping the pack jobs. By the time they pack their own, They know it will work (or atleast it did the last 10 times). He gets 10 free pack jobs. Seems like a Win/Win to me. And I agree, TANSTAAFL!

    Certain actions forfeit someone right to live. Killing others in cold blood does. Participating in the killing of others in Cold Blood does as well. It is not Murder to remove those elements from society so that we may all be safer. Who is hiding behind religion now?

    No, The MURDER here was the guy that was Shot in his own driveway. As for you ranting about Religion.. I don’t think you will EVER see me in any for of religious debate. I will never claim to be or not to be any religion. This has nothing to do with “Religious Right”. The “Religious” Right can Suck my Ass for all I care. (Only thing I hate worse than a Tree huggin, Filthy, Patchouli Wearing Lazy Hippie is a Bible Thumper) Nothing to do with Revenge, It has to do with making SURE it doesn’t happen again. See if you just put this guy in jail for a very long time, History has taught us there is a VERY strong chance he will just do this or worse again. In fact the longer he is in jail, the more likely he is to commit more violent crimes once released You are the one trying to Vilify those that just want the real criminals eliminated.

    Also curious if any of you Two Hands per handle were taught to "Strip" the Cutaway cables. I remember Peel, Punch, Strip when I was doing the two hand method. (Two hands on the cutaway handle, Peel, Punch, Leave left hand extended and Right hand back up till cables were free) That was a LONG time ago on SOS Rig so may not be relevant with more modern gear. I now practice One hand per handle, Peel Punch Right, Peel Punch Left every time I gear up.

    Execution Guarantees the person will NOT commit anther violent crime. Does that deter others?? That is debatable but you can bet it deters at least the one being executed.

    He knew for an absolute fact that he was driving his Buddy around to Commit Armed Robbery. The fact that someone got shot is a very distinct possibility when you commit Armed Robbery. When you stick a Gun in someone’s face to ROB them, The Gun could go off. This guy is in no way innocent. This is NOTHING like Drunk Driving, We are talking ARMED ROBBERY. there is nothing in your analogy that makes sense at all. He did not just allow this happen, He was knowingly and actively participating. He knew that his buddy was getting out of the car, Pulling a Gun on Random People and Robbing them. They did this multiple times that night. They were driving around LOOKING for people to do this to. They did it repeatedly. Eventually someone did get shot. That can only be expected when you are robbing people at gun point.

    Are you sure?? Were you at the trial?? You are basing this opinion on a VERY Biased article that may or may not (I would bet on NOT) telling the entire story. What we do know for FACT.. The Guy was driving his buddies around KNOWINGLY Commiting Armed robberies. They followed a Car for Miles. They stopped and the gunman got out (Just like all the other robberies thay had just been commiting) only this time he killed someone. And you consider him a reliable witness? He has nothing to loose, He is going to die no matter what. Why wouldnt he try to keep his buddy from being executed.

    Which method is currently taught at your DZ? A statement was made that Two Hands per handle is "The Industry Standard" in the incidents forum. I am not disagreeing with that but I do think more than Just Chicagoland is teaching that method. Just curious how many more. I started out on an SOS Rig so Two hand was taught since only one handle. I think but I am not sure my DZ currently teaches One Hand per handle. Edit: and a Response saying which DZ would be helpful to get an idea of how many DZ`s are teaching each method.

    What should the charge be if people go into a bank to Rob it and they kill someone while doing it?? Arent they all guilty of Murder? I think so. Not just the one that pulled the trigger. This is the same thing here only it was Random people they were Robbing at Gun Point. The Article "Claims" the shooting was not robbery related.. They Followed the car for Miles.. (Sounds to me like they were planning on another Robbery no matter what they say) The Gunman gets out (Just like the other robberies). The Gunman Shoots someone this time. These are the facts. Everything else is he said, She Said. The Jury that heard all the evidence seems to agree with this assessment. Kill someone while committing a Violent Crime in MANY States and you face the death penalty. IN Texas, All Parties involved (Not just the Gunman) Face the death penalty. That is the law. I am Glad to see they are going to do what they say they are going to do. The Law is useless if it is not enforced.
