My car cost more, but just barely. About 300 bucks more. Of course if you count all the extra money that has slowly gone into keeping it running it is probably more like 1200 bucks more. So I guess that means that my rig is more durable than my car.

For all you people who can't make it but want to buy some jump tickets, live vicariously through me and buy the tickets in my name. I'll do the jumps for you and tell you about them afterwards. It's the next best thing.

Eh, It was ok. But I think Sam Raimi does better work when he doesn't have an essentially unlimited budget. Daredevil should end up being pretty cool. Turn off the world before you come to bed.

More like, in a week or so the DSL company will call you up and say that they are currently out of stock of modems, or they haven't installed a DSLAM at the nearest phone company exchange, or you need to have an integrity check done on your wiring, etc. Especially if you are getting the DSL through a big company like Earthlink or SBCAmeritech. So then 3 months from now when your DSL actually starts working, the "filters" that they gave you to keep the DSL signal from disrupting your phone line won't seem to work right and you will still hear static half the time that you are on the phone, and the other half of the time, the DSL will disconnect when you answer the phone. Man oh man DSL rocks! You're going to love it! Of course seems like there are better and cheaper ways to pump up the stress and annoyance levels in your life, but to each their own.

Anybody seen Resevoir Dogs? That's the nice thing about Europe. The tip is included in the price. If a tip is expected, then they shouldn't make it optional. It should just be part of the bill.

Yea, I paid attention, but I hadn't heard any referrence to the 3 S's since my classroom training for my first static line jump, 75 jumps ago. The context that I read it in your post was that of some part of your gear called "S.S.S."

If, on break off, you turn and track, making sure that noone is below you, then give a clear waveoff and deploy, and a second later another jumper falls through some part of your canopy, (assume that everyone goes through their emergency procedures correctly, and everyone lands without any injuries) would it be appropriate for you to expect that diver who apparently didn't get out of your way when you waved off, to replace your canopy? Sorry about the run-on sentence.

Every so often we all find ourselves on our backs in freefall, when we don't want to be. My guess is that more often than not it is the result of an exit or formation being funnelled. Anyway, my questions is, what do you consider the quickest and most efficient way to get back to your belly? I know a hard arch will do the trick eventually, and 1/2 of a barrell roll will work, but I am just curious as to any little tricks that people have discovered throughout your skydiving experiences.
