sitflying was definitely easier to learn. now, tho, even tho my headdown probably isn't as far along as my sit, i like to be on my head because i can move around better.

i learned how to rotate on my head without going all over the place, i learned i need to get my legs out more while headdown, i learned to do eagles, and to fly more relaxed....all in all a very good freefly weekend!!! -
0:7:0 only jumped on saturday, but my god, what a saturday it was. i finally made my way down to skydive Chicago, something i had been meaning to do, but that i hadn't done this season. all i did, among the 7 skydives were 4 absolutely fantastic freefly coaching dives...i was lucky enough to get 2 jumps with Rook, and 2 with Missy. Both of them taught me more in 4 jumps than i probably learned in the previous 30, and the improvised spocks on Missy on both the dives were ridiculously cool and incredibly fun. Many many many thanks to both of them. Now i gotta rob a bank or something so i can go back there.... I re-met Diverdriver, thanks for pointing me in the direction of the freeflyers, Chris. I also finally got to meet a very sunburned Lolie. next time, we gotta do a jump! wow, what a great great day. needless to say, returning to real life after that kind of pretty much perfect day was a bitch! blue skies Tomas

In today's Kane County Chronicle (for those of you in or near Kane County, IL), there is a nice picture of Rook and Missy walking towards the plane with everyone lined up on the sides for the memorial dive. I couldn't find it online, but it's in the actually "paper" newspaper in the main section. blue skies Tomas

The memorial was very nice. What i especially liked was the idea to wear the shirt of a dz. I know not everyone's shirt represented the dz they were from (i had one that i was given from scotland...) but still, there was enough variety that it was really cool to see how far people had come to pay their respects. it was one of those things that really drove home the point that we are all one big family, and it extends beyond just the jumps themselves. blue skies, Roger, and condolenses to everyone at SDC.
