i was there over the last weekend doing a lot of freeflying, and had a blast all weekend long! the movie festival was fun too.....and watching alchemy's video was freakin incredible..... blue skies Tomas

0:4:some probably 4 jumps at rantoul, the highlight being a belly dive (how often will i ever say that???). we got a mostly chicagoland-skydiving-way that was something in the neighborhood of 24 out of the DC-3. it only built to about 12, and i almost got there at the end of the dive (i was one of the last divers out), but the cool thing was that the whole zoo is now on Norman Kent's video camera next weekend....Summerfest! ...and hopefully less rain....fuckin weather....

it was just on several newscast, with all the anchors just amazed and stuff...it's very refreshing to see our sport get some possitive publicity in the media for once!!!

I heard differing rumors on saturday while i was at hinckley, but the general thought seemed to be that they were getting kicked off the airport. a few of the tandems that were scheduled to go to morris ended up at hicnkley, and from the sounds of skydive chicago's weekly update, some SDI people ended up over there too...

OK my turn.... First point: Why send back a T-x when the t-1000 was much more formidable? The t-x was sort of a combination of the 2 terminators--liquid metal over a metal skeleton. none of what hurt the t-x would have hurt the t-1000. second: why do the terminators have such terrible aim? third: If the t-x is so much more advanced, why does she not make sure arnie is dead when she steps on his head? she implants him with those nanomachines, but how is he able to resist them? i would think that if the t-x is a much more advanced model than the t-800, she would have the knowledge and capability to completely take over and destroy the t-800. aside from that, i hated how the movie completely discarded the carefully laid out plot from the first 2 movies.....but i gotta get back to work now so i can elaborate on that later... tomas

T3 was, in my humble opinion, a piece of shit. a lot of what was meticulously built into a good story in the first 2 is shot to hell. if it was a generic action movie, it would be ok, but not even close to a worthy sequel to T2.

0:6:0 was at skydive chicago for the sugargliderz camp. got 2 coached dives with Jen, (thanks Jen!) both of which i didn't fly so well but learned a ton. Most importantly all six dives were a ton of fun, and Sunshine and I finally got to freefly together! wish i coulda gotten 2 more in...i am sitting on 498....

18 covers a jump on wed or fridays at chicagoland skydiving in hinckley (they are 17 bucks then)!

final tally for the weekend 0:17:0 because of the 200 dollar-all you can jump thing, i ended up doing 5 free jumps (did 2 on friday, which didnt count towards that, 15 between yesterday and today). jumped with Val, wildblue, erica, and freeflycracker made a cameo from st louis. all in all, i wish i had more money to jump, i dont want real life to set in. blue skies Tomas

i'm sorry, but T3 was a big piece of steaming crap. as an action movie, it may have been worth a rental once on video, but as a part of the terminator franchise, it is held to a higher standard..... i dont wanna vent too much cuz i'll give shit away, but i hate how they pretty much blew off the first 2 movies and everything that happened, how the t-1000 from T2 is still a more menacing machine than the t-x, and how sarah connor is very badly missed. if someone wants to start a rant thread, where spoilers are allowed, i'll vent there....but damn, i was dissapointed. blue skies Tomas
