Yesterday! It was great, first jump in 19 months. Did a 2 way with my hubby (he's an instructor) I really figured the door monster would be there given its been so long, but nope nothing, no jitters, nada.... We rolled out of the door of the cessna, was over all a really great jump.... didnt feel at all like I had been away this long, everything came flooding right back.... had a decent landing which was my huge issue when I was jumping all the time. Now the bug has bitten again, I'm back and it feels SO GOOD!

MUFF MUFF Johnny! He was truly a beautiful person inside and out. If there could only be more people like in this crazy sport! Johnny you will be sorely missed and never forgotten! After readinghe forums this morning and realizing this was true, I cried like a baby but then I thought how great it would be if we could all be so lucky to die doing something we loved as much as he loved skydiving! Fly free Johnny! Muff Muff! -
Agreed 100% Children needs boundries and discipline. Spanking doesnt work for all children and other forms of discipline doesnt work for all children. As a mom of 4, all of my kids get spankings, its never out of anger and they always know why.

not in america! its funny back in the 40''s, 50's and parts of the 60's other parents or adults were allowed to "parent" any child for the most part. Now, people complain that no one besides the parents should parent their childrent, yet they wont even parent their children! And if you do try to effectively parent your kids with any kind of discipline that is more than " now little johnny you shouldn't do that" your looked at for child abuse...... yes it is that bad. My kids all use the internet, they range in ages from 11 to 4. HOWEVER, we use net nanny and the enviroment they use is password protected, so that cant just get on at free will and when they do, it is for only 30 minutes at a time....

What state could we do away with and why?
mamajumps replied to SkydiveStMarys's topic in The Bonfire
edited.... Indiana... my mom lives there and people from the small towns are very unfriendly...at least the ones I met when I lived there in 1990.... -
I caught the last 30 minutes becuase I forgot it was coming on.....but the heavy set girl with the short blonde hair and the serious bugged eyes was absolutely AWFUL!!!! and she was saying she had voice lessons and a degree in music... well that chic needs to get a refund!!!! But it was so funny..... They (Simon and crew) are very brutal.... but I dont blame them, I mean honestly do those people really think they have talent? I cant carry a tune in a bucket... but I know that and dont subject myself to public embarrassment..... but hey... it makes for great entertainment......

Did you know that true redheads make up only 4% of the population and It is guessed that by the end of this century they will no more... The radio station I listen too had that on there as a part of one of their trivia games. I thought it was real interesting.....

The title alone would make one suspect that this is a stiff shirt, low light, don't fart out loud kinda place. Well I went to lunch with the two ladies that are in my department today and on the way back from lunch I found out that my boss who is in her 50's has kissed to wives of people who work here. One at a Buffett concert and the other in the back seat while on the way to a staff retreat... why "just to get things riled up...." One was a Reverends wife..... So I have a great job, I love what I do (event registrations) and have a great time working here, and I never know what to expect. We are always cutting up in my office....

Great advice Wendy, another reason to not downsize so soon is that there are a ton of scenarios out there that dont happen on a regular basis. My jump numbers are low b/c I have been out of the sport for nearly two years due to a landing accident. I was flying a sabre II 150 at a .92 wingloading, and came into a situation that I had no expierence in. The result, I didnt know how to properly handle it and or make the right decision and hurt myself, luckily I hurt my pride more than my body. Im planning on jumping again in 2 weeks, but since I have been out, I have done a ton of reading and self educating. Had I been flying a canopy any smaller, the end result would have been much worse. In perfect conditions, I can land nicely with no issues, but you can never rely on the conditions being perfect. But it takes years in the sport to know what the possible scenarios are and and how to deal with them properly. And even then things can still go wrong. Sorry about joining in on the "bounce bingo" but if your lucky enough to be in the sport for awhile, you will one day encounter someone who is really making a big gamble with their lives and you too will probably join in on BB. Hope you decide not to push the envelope until you have more jumps. There are already enough uneducated people out there giving skydiving a bad name without a licensed jumper adding fuel to the fire. So why dont you take it slow, get your skills where they need to be and downsize at a sensible rate and become that skydiver that the new guys look upto instead of becoming a statistic.....

Do they have Lemon Laws where you live? I had a Nissan pickup that had a whole world of problems and I was getting the same run around. After awhile, I was put into a new truck (same model) becuase of the issues I had with the first....

Yeah Im right there with ya... I have 4 kids and they have all done not so nice things and I have laughed at all of them more than once. Yesterday evening on the way home with my youngest two boys (ages 6 & 4) the 4 yro wanted the balloons that my 6 yr old had. He said " cause im the baby and I can have whatever I want" I blew my drink out my nose.. granted he's spoiled but wow..that blew my socks off...

definitly alternator.... but there are a few reasons why it might not be keeping your battery charged, so before you replace the alternator, check the belts and pulleys....

I have done this before and not just with shoes.... I have a favorite sweat shirt that I have had for 16 years now that says "horse shit" on the front but right under the i & t is a "carot" with the letter r so it really says "horse shirt". The letters are all in black and I have colored them back in several times, becuase I know replacing the shirt would be impossible.... What cheap really is: It was 60 degrees in my house last night and instead of turning the heat on, Me and the kids just bundled up.... I did turn it on to warm up to 70 before we went to bed.

Thanks for sharing... im crying at my desk now.... I have worked with handicapped children in equine therapy alot, it is truly a beautiful thing when a challenged child competes and wins on their own on a horse.
