Were doing a traditional turkey, ribs on the smoker banana pudding mashed potatoes my dads green beans sweet potato caserole Cranberry salad Coconut cream pie and a berry pie... ok so I know I got off topic....but whatever... Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.... the food is to die for....

Amen to that! I too grew up in the first scenario times. Grew up with all fashioned butt beatings and grew up to be hard worker, good mom and "not a victim of society".... The world is going to hell in a handbasket... and the goverment is helping.... I have 4 kids and Im not ashamed to say, they all get whoopins when its called for, never out of anger and they always know why. I also have 4 a-b honor role kids who use manners, respect their elders and can be taken out in public... I must be doing something right.....

I didnt do my recurrancy jump yesterday. I was soooooooo close, but when it was my chance to go, there wasnt a rig available that had a cypres and even when I jumped all the time, I wouldnt jump without one, just my personal choice. The when one of the dz regulars got there he offered me his rig, however by then my S.O. was busy doing tandems and the winds had picked up a bit too much for me. So call me a big chicken. I wont have a chance to go again for awhile. Its nearly impossible to find childcare for a 6 & 4 yro for the weekend. I'll be the first to say .."I suck..."

probably the latter of the two.... after my rig collected 6 months of dust, I sold it.... and I remember all to well, offering to pimp out my so for jump money.... Im also very involved with horses and rodeo, so I have two expensive habits.....

My job is great, but when there is nothing to do, there is NOTHING to do.... I get along with my co-workers great, one is on vacation this week, the other is in her office trying to stay awake like me.. 70 minutes to go..... Im feel for you not liking your job, I have been there. Ive only been at this job for 4 months. Its truly a blessing. First non-profit agency I have worked for and the perks are great. Maybe you should change.....

yeah been doing some, looking for citrus shippers for the family up north and looking at western sites for boots and horse stuff, but nothing really catches my eye.... thanks for the suggestion. Im thinking I will keep hanging out here and try to get to know ya'll!

depends on who you talk to I guess..... I think I look pretty good after 4 kids... My so doesnt complain..... Im still tiny, could use some toning but definitly not bad.....

pointless post, nothing better do. Im at work & my co-worker and I have nothing to do, and we have to stay another 1.5 hours. I have already ran out of stuff to look for on the net as well.... who else is bored to tears?

I have made plans to jump for the first time in nearly 18 months again this weekend. I had a minor injury which is why I stopped jumping, but I NEVER intended to not jump for this long. I was fully healed about a month after the injury. But as a mom of 4 life and everything involved ran off at mach 2 and wham here I am 18 months later and no jumps. I have made plans to get current this weekend, and a close friend who is an instructor is really pushing for it. But honestly, im more nervous now than I was when I did my first tandem nealry 4 years ago. A part of me really wants to back away, but a bigger part totally remembers how much I loved jumping when I stayed current. Any advice would be great. Thanks!

I am most like my grandma to be technical about it. Im glad Im not like my mom, shes a total fruit loop...(certified). My grandma is a very loving, quite behind the scenes type of person, who strives for happiness in her family but will stand up and fight for her family at a moments notice. She taught me what true love is as well as how to forgive and that there is some good in everyone, know matter how small it might be. And also, that deep down everyone wants to be loved and accepted. Yep, Im like my grandma and I couldnt be happier....shes my hero..... As far as my mate... he's a 30 year younger version of my dad, clear down to appearance. They both know everything about everything, are very passionate about life and could sell ice to an eskimo and a freezer to put it it....

Im not sure if I believe in it or not.... however, I have expierenced things first hand that nothing else could logically explain it. About the movie... it scared the poo out of me, in fact I have it on DVD and still have ot been able to finish it.....

Ive been with my wonderful amazing honey for 10 years now, but prior to that.... anytime my independance is compromised. I don't need a man to think for me, or help me navigate life. Im totally capable of making my own decisions.
