377 BUT, they should have checked the cord for DNA - all DNA when it became a remarkable marker. That way the DNA found even though it would have been multiple - could have been used at least for a way to limit suspects. Bet there is still DNA on that rope! BETCHA! and I bet one of those DNA's will match Duane's. IF they do NOT have Duane's DNA - I do have 2 very reliable items that will have his DNA on them....items I with held because of my attachment to them and one because of its value. Thank Goodness I did - they kept the DNA from 2003 until 2008 before it was returned. A valuable watch would probably have disappeared. Jo Weber (that is me) bugged this thread and the FBI about that for a long time and as far as I know they never checked the cords for DNA. I also have a knife with a piece of cord in it - but again the FBI was not interested. Seems like when DNA became the thing - the FBI would have checked the cord ends, as one knows to make a clean cut you form a loop with the cord with one hand and take the knife and make the cut. NO one seems to dwell on the fact Tina thought Cooper was left handed. Weber was left handed. Duane did use the dark broader points for his books. Also I have many many samples of his writing, but nothing from Cooper to compare them with. I have samples of his handwriting from several stages in his life - but, nothing for the FBI to compare with. I still believe the piece of cord in that old knife Sluggo said was lint and was going to discard it is a piece of cord. I let go of a lot of things. I told the agent things I have never told before. For the 1st time he did NOT cut me short....he wanted to know if I had put this in writing and had provided to the FBI (hell I thought he was FBI). I told him I WAS afraid in the past to provide certain things to the FBI and to others because I thought what I actually knew would turn people away. Every time I attemped to tell the past of Duane Weber (one he told me over the yrs in 3rd person) NO one cared & NO one believed me. It was when the Treasure Isle arrest was shown in this thread - something the FBI had NEVER told me. You guys know I connected a lot of thing & only one person on this thread has a clue what I mean. I was with this man for 17yrs and knew him for 6 months prior to that. The places we went & the people we met - they were just people. It would be over the last few yrs I found out who several of these individuals where & something about their past. I remember faces & places that are important. Faces out of the past - individuals I actually met. Strange, Weber with his backgound as a criminal would even know the individuals...who & how was such a strange group of men brought together? I refrained from mentioning the incidents and the people because I thought it would make me SOUND like someone looking for a story like Blevins and Marla and others over the yrs. I was also AFRAID to mention names - if I was wrong I could be sued and people would make fun of me and say I was contriving a story. I was more AFRAID of mentioning the people because there are those who are still alive that might not like it too much and I always asked myself - WHAT IF I WAS WRONG. WHAT IF I TELL SOMEONE I WAS WITH SO AND SO IN SUCH AND SUCH PLACE AND THEY CAN PROVE THEY WERE SOMEPLACE ELSE....WHAT IF I MISTAKENLY IDENTIFIED AN INDIVIDUAL BASED ON ONE PICTURE OR 2 IN THE MEDIA? After all who would believe me - the woman who claimed her husband was Dan Cooper - she is just a NUT CASE! Duane Weber was just a common goofy bad thief - he would never be able to pull something like a skyjacking off...much less be involved in other sinister things. Others would say he was too nice and there was NO way he ever committed a crime or was in prison. In the late 1950's a very wealthy man who loved this country tried to help the political figures he so admired & the country he called home. His way was by the back door. He formed a group of men - misfits to be agents in a secret group. (I am being careful of my words not to mention names or places). In the 60's this group had infiltrated where NO secret agent of operative could go - deep within the Mafia & the Unions and the criminal world. When Kennedy was killed all of you know he was WARNED there would be an attempt on his life - and this group was there to protect and do NO harm - the warning was supposedly delivered to him by someone close to him. It was said he may never have gotten the message. They went unarmed hoping to intervene in some way. They even thought or hoped there was nothing brewing - but, we all know it actually happend. I am still talking in circle because I am afraid of it. 2 men from N.Orleans had to leave to give depositions under alises by Anderson (my memory forgets his name now) - the name whose file were taken from his widow (all of them - and not just those from a specific incidence). I acutally met one of the Plumbers, but didn't know this until a few yrs ago. I actually overheard a strange conversation. The host was another one - an unlikely man a very tall man. He actually came out of the house to speak with me. I remember what he was wearing and what he looked like and I would see a picture of him later as he appeared that night and then on TV and then in my research.. A very handsome man - how the hell would a simple woman like me not remember a man like that. Then there was the baby face - the sweet young guy. He just told me that he and Duane went way back. This was 1982. These guys were having a reunion of sorts I guess....this guy was really young in 1982 he was about 34 maybe - how far could he and Duane go back? Then there was Meire - her first name eluded me tonight - her husband was in Canada and they hailed from Las Vegas - of course I have mentioned this in the thread and about the yacth in Ft. Lauderdale. Now that I know who she & her husband was - how the HELL did Duane have such intimate contacts with people like that. They had private discuss away from me on a very very large Yacht - Large staterooms and plenty of places for the cooks and servers - we are NOT talking about a toy boat. A meeting in ATLANTA for a company we did not work for. NO pictures, but I did get in a few shots of the women and the MAN, but NOT of the GUYS. Just one of them and now it turns out to be that he is a man who was supposed to be dead. The next day Duane tell me he has to deliver a package, but I didn't understand the transaction ( the man we delivered it to I have been told was a very dangerous man). Connected to Chicago Mafia. Big mistake was trying to contact people out of Duane's past. I could have become fish bait in the Atlantic if I had said the wrong things. I think one of the contacts initiated by the other person was to see how much I knew - about what Duane was involved in. One guy Duane worked for in CO connected to all of this told me he didn't remember Duane. Duane had La Vegas connections - the one legged guy was chauffeur for the Hughes! The one whose ashes are in the Gulf of Mexico & his head in cryogenics. Duane was in Jefferson with the man who murdered Martin Luther. He and his wife knew Ferrie. Duane was recruited in Canon 1962 or perhaps before he got out and this is where I believe PaperLeg, Tony and Tommy enter the pic. Never have figured this out. Some how between 1962 and 1965 a lots of time is spent in N.Orleans - maybe it was a easy place for a con man to hide. 1965 Duane goes to Kansas. how. They are on the move constantly. They go there with a job and with money - but they go thru it pretty quickly and Duane is back in prison, but he goes in as John Collins. All of you have read this story many times over. 1968 they go to CO until the FBI comes looking for them. They head back to N.Orleans - and leave when Camile comes in. Little income in 1969 & 1970 & 1971 (works all over the place) Columbia and Atlanta and in AL - back and forth) they sure lived pretty good....2 new cars in 1972 after a trip to N.Y. and Ft Lauderdale where Duane tried to buy a boat - a sea going boat (per the wife of the day). He had also told me about the boat. They had the money to pay cash! While in Columbia (1969/1970 I think) - he is training by swimming laps - & he disappears for wks at a time and always sends money home to the wife. They seem to take LOTS of trips to Kansas and FL. BRR - that is the key - BRR! Georger who do you know with the initials BRR. All of these writers who claim they know who Cooper is - perhaps I should lay the story I have on the line. Highly more probable than the stories circulating out there right now. Odd the new guy's story parallels the story I have hinted at for yrs - some of it right here in this thread. I decided to step away from the secret covert type of thing and move in a different direction, but then along comes 2 more pulling their story in the same directions and you guys take a big BITE out of the damn APPLE. Viewing that ticket brought back VIVID memories. It was like a flash back in time. I dump the shop record for a specif yr on the bed (Duane had broke his leg early in 1994). He told me he would do it, but I proceeded to go thru the things in the box. When I held that ticket up I said "My, this is an OLD ticket" His reply was that it used to mean something but it didn't any more. I was seeing what I held in my hands that night only it was WHITE. Seeing the numbers it was like the moment was replaying in my mind. The date I read out loud. I held it in my hands. Later that evening he would ask me what I did with the plane ticket. I didn't remember which pile it was in and went promptly to the garage as the bag was just outside to the door. I was going to take it to the garbage can the next day. Since he sounded concerned I went out to the garage and sat on the stoop into the house and went thru the throw away stuff. Then I told him it was NOT there so I must have put it back in the box. A couple of days later I am putting away the laudery and he is still having to keep weight off his leg - he had a cast, but the soft kind with staves. I go to put away his laundry and he tell me he will do it - I had always put away the laudery and in the op drawer where his shorts where was the TICKET. I made comment about his finding it, but still did NOT understand the significance of it. What he did with it later I do not know, but when I looked in the drawer another time it was GONE. God, If I had only know who Dan Cooper was and that he jumped on Nov 24, 1971..there would be no mystery. About a yr later when he is dying he tells me "I'm Dan Coooper". Of course I did NOT understand what he was talking about. He tells me there are things in the VAN but he doesn't tell me where - he was then on morphine. Dear God IN HEAVEN deliver me from this HELL. I never made one word of this up - not ONE! I didn't even find anything hid in the VAN. The man who bought it did and all he returned to me was the the old wallet. It is obvious looking at that old wallet that it held more than what was returned to me. The man who found the wallet did NOT KNOW until this yr that the ransom was in $20 bills. He hung up on me. WHY! Hell when I sold the car his girl friend had to borrow the money to do it and/or co-signed with him. If he found a 20 or more 20's after finding out I didn't know anything about the wallet - he figured I didn't know what was in it....I did ask....and he said nothing about money - just my husband's ID and military records. Those papers had the name of JOHN COLLINS on them - not DUANE L. WEBER. Then when he brings me the wallet I asked what was in it and he tells me he didn't know - he didn't look! NOW, why did he tell me 2 different stories and why did he hang up on me a few months ago when I told him the ransom was in 20's bill? He told me he didn't know that! Then he hung up! Note I did NOT over the yrs call him. I would go to see him and his wife after I got the letter from the FBI in 1998 dismissing Duane based on FINGER PRINTS. I asked a few questions at that time about anything addtional he might have found besides the wallet. He didn't remember anything significant - I wanted to know if there was any other papers with the wallet. I wasn't think money. I didn't mention money. Therefore I had few contacts with this man and he lives in this area. 1. when I sold them the car 2. when he called me 3. when he returned the wallet 4. when I went to see them after the FBI sent me their letter in 1998 5. one other call over the yrs. 6. the 2013 call this yr. He called me about buying the vehicle before he disposed of it, but at that time I declined as I had no money to purchase it and no interest... So this individual has never been harassed and he lives in my area. The FBI never recontacted him to my knowledge and I do not know what he told the FBI. Curious! When was the containment pond put in. What YR. Was it there in 1971, 1979 and 2001. Since I didn't understand a lot of what Fazio was talking about and the crew was not from the area....I am sure they didn't ask about it. As for 1979 - I only know what I could see from the parking and under the trees. 2001 was the first time I had been ON the beach. These guys are crawling out from under the sheds & old cabins along the river. Oh, but most of them where gone by 1979. Maybe the money was NOT buried along the Beach, but else where such as under a shed but the shed had a leak and cause the money to get wet and deterioate. It was put there in 1971 and retrived in 1979 - if I should be right! Since I have become aware today that nothing the thread says or any of us say on this forum ever gets to the agent of record.....our time needs to be addressing subjects to the FBI in writing... I had contacted the FBI for yrs and I usually get the mouthpiece. He is really a nice guy, but that is my moniker for him. When I started to ramble about some things going on regarding Weber (he was actually listening to me) - he told me I needed to put them in writing and send them to the AGENT. BUT, only after he asked me if I had told the AGENT of record these things. I thought what I was telling him and posting in the thread GOT to the FBI agents, but guess what - GUYS nothing we say or do here is EVER reported in any way to the Bureau. We might get reported for something else, but nothing we talk about or claim about Cooper or a suspect is reported to the FBI. This agent seemed a little put back by what I was saying and asked me if I had told the agent of record these things. I told him some of it was in the thread, but some of it was so detailed and my realization that the things I had held back now seemed important. They where things I told agents yrs ago, but nothing I ever said was acknowledged. Now again this seems to be all new stuff. I was afraid to talk about certain things - such as associates of Duane's - their names and what I now think about these associations after the Dumb Blonde learned a few facts about U.S. Political History. I mentioned the name of a man and his location - seems like that got his attention....I was always AFRAID to say this man's name. I would hint about individuals - but did not come right out and name them other than the obvious ones with Criminal records. Those individual whose reputations were well known and seemingly unsoiled I left alone - this was NOT the case today! I felt a compulsion to let someone know the names and where and when I met individuals - people I now know are part of history and most in not just a good way. Under what circumstances did Duane have reason to know or even meet these individuals. The agent just stopped me and ASKED me if I had ever told the agent of record these things. Duh! I thought I was talking to the FBI when I called the MOUTHpiece....and I was afraid to say names before. Now as I approach the end stage of my life that is NOT the case. Since I do not go to U-Tube I only know about this individual what you guys post here. The story a man told and the tone with which it was delivered gave me reason to think this U Tube guy and the guy who contacted me could be one and the same. I noted the manner in which the message was delivered - the wording has a tone - caps and spacing and words. I am definitely NOT any kind of person to do this - it was my own personal take and wanted to know what you guys thought. If they compared? Both CLAIM to have solved the case. This below is a communication I received from a man who researches my stuff and others - then jumps on it: ALL of you guys know I have told the BOAT Story long long ago and my friends know the BOAT story and when I confronted this man yesterday about it - he SWITCHES his contact as being a man. He supposedly interviewed a woman and another man about Duane being in WA after the jump - but then turns around and says the FBI told him not to contact me. He is contacting anyone who ever had anything regarding a suspect or the case and using it for heaven only knowns. I am sure Blevins and Marla have been contacted by this guy including "Knickers". What he had to say to me today and NOTE I do leave out things but want you guys will get the jest of this man. He is playing some kind of GAME. The below is NOT an exact quote. It does give me mixed emotions: "Having XXX contact me will end up fruitless. I have all the evidence i need to prove that Duane Weber WAS in Carson just days after the jump . I have obtained a wealth of evidence & need not prove it to anyone . I tried my hardest to be friendly & help you but you always said "you could of got that information from a old posting" well...keep on believing that ! I tried ! Here's alittle something else i know...did you know Duane was looking at buying a large boat just a few weeks after the jump ? This witness said he was "Looking to get away for awhile". I know why ! Where did he get the money to make that kind of purchase ? Lastly, choose your "friends" wisely, they are back stabbing you ! I know you have given out information that ONLY I have provided to you because its coming back to me ! I wish i could trust you Jo, my evidence would put all to rest for you ". I saw where this was going and pulled out. I broke down and made a post to him and this was what came back. His introduction to me came by way of Bruce and the man sent me some pictures. A group with the faces blanked out with the exception one man he ID'd as Vern. Of course it was NOT my Vern, but when I asked to see the other faces he had excuses. I believe 377 knows why I wanted to see the other faces - they were all supposedly Boeing employees. What caught my eye was not just the man - but the tie he wore. Definitely not a narrow tie, but one with a design that was remarkable!One that was familiar, but I do NOT know from where! Thought I had seen on in a picture in Duane's brother's house or that 377 had posted one with this particular design of tie in it. Jo, Don't you think that is a biased overstatement? 37 YOU may think it is bias but I am the one who heard what he said and I am the one who was with him on that WA trip...MY ACCOUNTING ARE FIRST HAND - relating to the skyjacking. THE FBI knows that what he told me is REAL - none of it is made up. His confession and what he tired to tell me, the things in his possession of which I knew not what they meant, the WA trip and things he told me then - things with no meaning to me in 1979. If YOU choose to hold hands with our DIRTY government and the FBI - then you will say I am trying to profit by making up a story. HELL, if that is what I wanted to do - I should have done that 16 damn yrs ago! I have not imagined my life with Weber and I did not imagin the things I saw and held in my hands, nor have I lied. I am not crazy or delusional - for almost 18 yrs I have tried to tell the FBI what I knew without - putting myself in the lime light with a book or movie. I turned ALL of those things down (I did entertain the idea, but made it clear if it was fictionalized in anyway it was a NO go) - because I thought they would cause the FBI to not investigate. AS it stands - I should have DONE what all of the other people have done. Attempt to make a profit from my battle. I did allow someone to do a one page agreement - which is one that helps to protect my rights. This person knows that I would NOT approve of embellishments and that was made clear. Frankly those embellishments might just be the actual truth. The FBI NOT following thru on WEBER is actually proof of this. Their promoting suspects who could not be Cooper only substanciates this claim by me. SO MAYBE JUST MAYBE I should have done what all of the others who came behind me did. The very things individuals wanted to go with - the covert stuff and such, may actually be the truth. IF the FBI had gave Weber a little more background or have done a little more on his background they would have found the Jefferson pictures and the file and have provided them to me at my request. THEY did NOT and COULD NOT! Their HANDS were tied! Even this thread is amiss as NONE of you attempted to help me get the JEFFERSON FILE. You assumed the FBI had it, but for some reason did not share it with me - Shutter showed this thread what I have been after for 18 yrs...and it resulted in an OH MY GOD moment! The very fact that the HISTORICAL Society is interested in other suspects - suspects that COULD not have been Cooper is even more conclusive someone is covering up something. Well, AMERICA can keep on getting its STOMPING BOOTS muddy - but it is not just mud anymore. FRANKLY I NOW do NOT TRUST our GOVERNMENT anymore. When THEY keep secrets such as the past of WEBER out of the media and out of the hands of the WIDOW - think - really think! WHY did they do this? No one asked Jo Weber for anything. She moves slowly now so it take a while, but they never did ask. Yet, Weber was the ONLY valid suspect ever. What they need. The letter from The NIGHT clerk and his communication with Magie Boule. 1.The pictures of WEBER and ask Roy Rose if he is still living to take the Composite and match the before and after pics of Weber. Add the side burns and give him a head full of hair instead of a close prison cut and give him some lower teeth. Put that side by side with the Composit. 2. The before and after pics surrounding the Jefferson prison intake the FBI so skillfully made sure I did NOT see 17 yrs ago and then again in 2006 when Carr denied me the Jefferson Pics. 3. Is it because they couldn't find them? Well, how the hell did Shutter find them? 4. Why did Weber tell his wife "I'mmmm Dan Cooooper" - she had not idea who Dan Cooper was. 5. A copy of the hospital records for when Weber was arrested for trying to obtain a Drivers License under another name (John C. Collins). The the actually drivers license he had already obtained in the State of Fl only one day before they arreste him (he again BEAT the SYSTEM). 6. An explanation from the FBI as to why they ignored Weber's Ms file and the driver's license under that name. 7. A copy of Duane's San Quentin file showing he had a scar on his hand exactly where Tina said Cooper had a scar. Seven is a good number unless someone can add something to that list and see that the FBI & the Museum gets it! Proof! Jo has more PROOF on WEBER than any suspect ever presented - but the FBI and the STATE of WA wants Weber to GO away. JT tells every one Jo is a liar and fantasy story teller - perhaps JT was part of the DO NO HARM bunch. I supposedly made all of this SHIT up. HEY! This girl is not that smart. I saw the ticket. I saw the bank bag all clean and crisp folded in the console...and the name of the bank on it. Duane Weber left a book in a safe deposit box unknown to the widow. I had a canvas satchel with a long handle that Himmelsbach told me WAS NOT anything resembling what Cooper had, yet the CO-pilot said the money was put in a satchel with a strap. Just like the satchel I got rid of. Mr. H said it was not part of the crime and there was a good chance I could have retrived it from the charity I donated it to or have bought it back with a nice donation. Bet that museum would NOT want to present the pics of a dead man who was still alive yrs after he supposedly died...Duane's good friend. How about the MOUSE? Or perhaps a watch Cooper might have worn. Yet, using a secret door to a house a suspect lived in and one that did NOT even come close to the description of Cooper is appropriate. WHY not the MOUSE and the WATCH? How about a Cook Book that might put Cooper (duh - Weber) on the damn plane. A cookbook that came from the place Tina was born and raised! Only 3000 copies and I know where 3 of them are or where until the author died a few yrs ago. All three were in FL - 3 out of 3000 old cook books ended up in FL. How about another Cook Book - one that was contributed to by the locals in WA and ID and OR. One of the contributors was a woman in Mt. St Helens, OR who was the artist and a place Duane said he knew a woman who lived there. Why not a picture of the OLD Cooper boys - from Mt. St. Helens, OR...who were questioned after the crime. Well, Who was Duane referring to when he mentioned Gresham and knowing someone there who worked in a nursing home or retirement home? At the time the statement was made was the afternoon of the day Duane disappeared for 5 1/2 hours from The Dalles and came back to the room soiled. He put my luggage in the car and then washed up. Duane perhaps paying Tina a visit in 1979 is NOT just speculation. The ex-wife of the days 1962 to 1972 worked for a CREDIT card company. She lived not too far from where Tina was living when she got her divorce. WHAT IF the ex contacted Duane (I know the two of them made contact in 1976 because I put him on the plane to see her so he could wash her out of his hair). Read Max's book. Then read the letters Max and I exchanged if and when I ever get up the nerve to publish them. She waited over 5 yrs after she thought Duane had died - to recontact MAX in a phone call after tipping the bottle a few times too many. There is more I have to say on this but I will be sure I have the communication notes in hand, so NO one can say I said or she said this one time and then something else another time. As I have said my memory is starting to elude me as time takes over, but the material I have will survive me and my daughters know who to turn all of it over to. I thought I recognized the man, but I needed to see a still or a copy of the clip. IT was removed from existence. Someone had made it public and it went POOF! Instantly. This was since 2007! I briefly discussed this in the thread - but everyone thought I was crazy and delusional and OFF my rocker! NO one ever produced the clip for viewing. I do not know if I disclosed the details of why I wanted that clip, but I am now. I am tired of this so called AMERICAN way of keeping secrets. The man who created this group of guys - infiltrated the Unions, the Mafia and the criminal world where NO others could have gone. Lyle's verbal words to me and to other as to his motivation are suspect! He thought it would make a good MOVIE! That is the action of someone interested something. Those were the thoughts of Lyle after watching a documentary on Cooper and why he sent a letter to someone (I don't remember who) regarding that he thought his brother could be Cooper. Well everyone knows how this went. The investigator let it go and you took that bit of information and rolled with it. Meyer Louis stated about the man who assisted them: I need to KNOW more about this CABIN and exactly where it was located in 1979. Remember I have insisted for yrs that behind the Original house and then behind the fence and tree line was a SHED. I could see only part of it - so it could have been called a cabin in the days. I want to know the location of that CABIN or SHED in relation to the position of the house, fence and the money find. Remember that Duane disappeared from my site just behind the house and that I have stated there was a shed there in 1979. In 2001 when I was there with Himmelsbach and one of the Fazio's I asked about the shed and was told there was one they stored equipment in, but could never get anyone to show me pictures of this shed or proof or disproof it was there. Nothing was ever written about this, but what I thought I saw....the shed thing was part of why I thought perhaps this was not the right place in 2001 that I saw in 1979 - but everything else was right. The house, the gate and the view across the river and the equipment on our left. The trees and the fence. Note there was in 1979 a fence below the Fazio house at the tree line. There was fence at the gate which was North & East of the house. There was a parking area there with some very large trees in 1979 and 2001. The house was closer to the water than the GATE and the Trees with a parking area. Duane left me in the lot in the car and told me to stay there. I hope Meire and Robert got the man's contact numbe and asked him if he had pictures of the cabin or shed and of the house from 1979 - very very important to me. A picture made from the trees and the parking area. North and East of the house. I have to know what I was able to see from there in 1979. I need to know if it matches my memory. I just made a post - one the most important I ever did and it would NOT let me post it - and deleted it. Well I will reconstruct it, but NOT tonight. That post going POOF is scary. I am not fooling with you guys - WE are being watched. Everything I post s monitored now. NO I am not just being paranoid. Well, I will say what I said - and email it to one of you - perhaps you can get it on. Right NOW I have to make notes of what I was talking about so I don't forget. Sometimes one says just the right things and it brings the entire picture together. I did that and it went POOF! The reason it would not post had CRYPTED in it! It was a fast delete so I couldn't read it. It was about Jefferson, the bus, A news paper article with the bus and the yrs. Then it was about 1962 and Canon and the other Petersen and his wife Jane. How Duane screwed up and went to Missouri. Why the fled to New Orleans and then why they didn't persue him. Ferrie and the address given by the wife of the day when Duane was arrested in 1966. What he told me about Osald and Ruby and the attorney there. It was also about a man who promoted Do NO HARM. How Duane was recruited and how he fell from grace and the second chance he was given. All of this started with WHY no one was ever able to tell who Cooper was. Do not know if I will ever be able to recreate it to make the sense I was making earlier. Geeze, you's guys still at it! No one owns the Cooper story only their own personal history involving Cooper and/or a suspect. That is how I see it. The investigation files released by the FBI and media interests are public property - such as Blevins might have a vested interest in KC and I definitely have a vested interest in Weber (18 yrs of searching and 17 yrs married to him)....but neither of us could claim copyrights to Cooper or the investigation done by the FBI. With me it is MY investigation or screaming and Foot stomping and fist pounding - and the yrs of my life I spent chasing this damn thing. Do I own the Cooper story - hell, no! I do own the rights to my life's story about my search and my findings. When I am dead - who knows? I handled this in my will - just encase, but seriously do not believe anyone gives a damn other than myself. I did note the story sounds like the man who contacted me a few months ago and got pissed after I played along for a few WKS and then said NO WAY! There is a woman in WA who claims a guy who sells Nickers (old fashion golf pants) is Cooper and still living. Frankly this one made me bust out laughing. This constant little boy syndrome between you (Blevins) & Georger has to Stop! I for one am very tired of the 7 yr old act. I quoted the book to prove a point and that SHOULD have been the end of it! Several posts later the little boy in you is still in the LITTLE BOYS room trying to figure out how to button his pants. They do come with ZIPPERS you know! I never understood why he claimed you lived in Wa when you have stated you did not or did he just get a little mixed up. The only thing I see here is an oversite of terminology where it was assumed you grew up in WA...just because the subject was discussed at the Thanksgiving dinners. George please tell the thread why or how Gray made that assumption or was it deliberate as were some things said about me to protect our identities and locations. Gray mentions on page 264 Spec Ops "black" bag job. The individual contacting Gray was in WALLA WALLA until the week before the "furlough". The man claimed to be involved in the Bay of Pigs Invasion and the capture of Che Guenvara in Bolivia. Both were things Duane spoke about and Duane told me about the french doors and what was behind them. Watergate this man mentions as did Duane. I actually met one of the men involved in Watergate while in N.Orleans. I would NOT know who he was until I read his obituary in the newspapers. The man's picture got my attention and then I read who it was. THIS happened while I was posting to this thread and I am sure some of you remember my feelings and emotions at that time. I don't need to look them up - I lived the moments. The conversation I had over heard in N.Orleans was NOT a normal conversation and was very specific. They did NOT know I could hear them and when I lowered the book a little they asked if they were bothering me. I said NO and then went back to reading - but I had actually been very engrossed in the conversation. They lowered their tone so I could no longer understand them and excused myself to the ladies room. When I returned they were gone. I would not know who this man was until after Duane died and while I was researching my unusual life with Weber. The image of the man was buried in my mind and the unusual nature of the discussion. I had NOT seen a picture of the man until I read his obituary in the paper. When Gray's mystery man speaks about Codes - I think Purple - I have discussed this in the thread. RememberCooper's identity was sent to the RENO paper in Code. If you can break this code you can find me! Something to that effect, but NO one ever heard me nor did they care. I broke the code only because I saw it at one time written down in the back of an old address book Duane had. He told me it was his Navy number and Army number in code. I noted he had never been in the Army and he changed the subject as he was very very astute at doing. Supposedly Jake was introduce to the Mercenary world in a logging camp in Alaska when he was a troubled boy. Perhaps it was WA. The same background Duane Weber had and Duane did spend some yrs in the late 40's in WA and obviously Alaska since he told me in 1979 in Seattle when we drove north of there about a small town on the border used to cross between Alaska (Canada) and WA state undetected. Duane had mentioned a man and flights to and from the Alaska area - I did not know a lot and did not ask question....it was about a group of guys and experiment with a plane - a hook thing. We discussed this in the thread...it was determined Weber was not involved. Do not remember how we determined this - but surely there were more than the experiments publicized. Gray goes on to talk about his communications with the man - I wonder if he is just creating this man. Gray and I discussed the strange things in Duane's life and the things he talked about and why I even looked at coverts or even thought coverts. Perhaps Gray was leaving the door open. Well, the contacts team may have been out of VA, but the did a lot in N.C. When Duane and I first moved to VA in 1983 - one of the things he did was take me to a military area and tells me about being trained there - with something to do with water boats....I had little reason to remember history, but didn't ask Duane questions. Duane did not mention the yrs, but I thought he was referring to the Cuban Crisis - but according to the records - Duane was in prison during that time (although now I forget the yrs this was all being done). 1962/1968 - the yrs during which Duane was John 'Dusty' Collins and on the run with his lady of the day...and matches the dates of his encarceration at Jefferson 1966/1968 - one in which the wife of the day would go visit and he would be in solitare. NOW, that seemed strange since Weber was released early - rather Dusty was release early. I have no idea what a one pad connection is - but Duane knew every signal tower in the area and ever gravel pit and every airstrip and every cemetary - old cemetaries that no long had access roads other than paths. This supposed man who contacted Grey (or was a fantasy story told to leave an opening for yet, another book in the future) conceded on the San Marino Sanitarium. Seems like the guy was a figament of Gray's imagination to feed another book - just encase anyone was ever able to prove Weber was Cooper. Will anyone ever know the truth? Even Gray couldn't find an ending for his book and left the ending open to even more theories and more tales. This is a summary of Grays last chapter and perhaps a summary of my postings regarding the supposed alternate life of Duane Weber. The truth regarding Cooper remains cloaked in lies co-mingled with truths and unbelievable connections. The man's story seems unbelieveable to me, but then my story seems unbelievable to others.
