Well, put the entire trip and the subseqent actions of Weber and his confession in place - it goes a little further than just speculation - you are drawing a very fine line between speculation and theory.

He is talking about the paper bag and it was Safecrack that kept insisting the money got there from the Red Lion, but I had conversations with Safecrack and thought it possible, but...it was one of the theories out there. I wonder what happened to the money in that paper bag? Where did it drift to and/or did it just sink to the bottom of the river and out to sea. What happened to the money he ditched across from the PDX. What did he do down at the river across from the PDX. What was in the paper bag he threw into the river at the Red Lion. We know what happend to the money at Tena's bar - they found it! What happened to the packet (candy wrapper) Duane threw out of the car when we were coming back across the bridge from Oregon and back into WA. Who was the woman he went to see down there at the antique store - she was no longer there. How did he know the guy as the garage. Was the woman at the antique story the woman he was referring to about the grave yard on The Washing side and he mentioned the grist mill. Who were the boys who stayed over in the park West of the highway. What did they do. Who were the guys that went to the beack at that point - they worked over there. What was the name of the Smorgaborg the guys at at in the Longwood area. How can Duane know all of these -peoples in WA. In 1979 I did NOT go down to the beach with Duane - he told me to stay in the car. My walking down to the beach with the Crew, Himmelsbach and Mr. Fazion in 2001 was the wrong thing to do. But, it is what the crew wanted. When they asked me to get down and act like I was scooping sand a way - I walked back up to the trees and let them finish what they were doing. Seeing it from the beach in 2001 was not how I saw it in 1979 with Duane. I wanted to see what was on down the road and they did as I asked, but nothing West of there caused any bells to go off...but I was just verifying what I had viewed from the parking lot while they did their thing on the beach. Things had changed between 1979 and 2001. Trees were larger -and a few changes made.. I had to make sure that was it. The thread was making postings with arials showing the house sitting at a seemingly different angle than what I was seeing in 1971 and 2001 - I had seen the house in 1979 only from the front and was of the opinion it was rectangular and in 2001 it seemed rectangular The ariels the thread posted - made me feel I had the wrong place. I kept asking for actual photos of the front of the house and not the ariels - I still cannot make head or tail out of ariels. P.S. I have made these replies and I did NOT go back and try to find the posting you are referencing above. I am speaking off the top of my head. The first posting where you directed me to the actual post in its entirety gave me enough to know it seemed to be an extremely difficult period in 2008. I was bouncing off the wall with Georger. I wish I had been able to have gotten on a plane in 2008 and have confronted them. It was about that time I kept ASKING for actual pictures of the front of the house and the back of the house. The ariels did NOT show the house I remembered. NOT one person in this thread ever explained why the house looked one way by viewing it first hand (1979 and 2001)and appear to be another house all together from arials they claimed were dated in those yrs. Of course I have also found out a lot of guys change the data on things they post. Such as the composite one of them changed, but forgot to change the ID number. Someone created a composite and passed it off as one of the real composites. It was a fake - when they do a new composite the give it a new number. Never knew what was real and what had been altered. We had been in a heated discussion about the money find. This was when Safe Crack insisted the money got there from being thrown in to the river at The Red Lion. Seems like I was angry because I could see that, but I was agreeing in anger. I will have to read the posting before and after, but as I read the rest of the post - it sounds like I was trying to defend the fact that Duane did NOT put the money on Tena's bar in 1971. Weber was no where near Tena's bar in 1971, but in 1979 he was and that is when he went down to the river. I had only been to WA in 1979 with Duane and in 2001 with the TV crew. Perhaps I was questioning my mind and my memory. Perhaps trying to see things from their view point and until I got back to WA in 2010 the sequence of things was getting really out of site with everything the thread was discussing. Until I read the rest of the posting prior to that and after that - the only explanation I can make. I have a feeling it was the anger and frustration and easier to just agree to agree instead of fighting back for what I knew in my mind and memory was right. . I have no idea what was going on at that time - I think JT was giving me a hard time, but I will go back and see if I can find out WHY I said that. Remember what we have learned in the last few yrs about Duane Weber. He usually made a mistake and ended up in prison! If the money was damaged - you can bet the places he told me to stay in the car or went on ahead of me - he got rid of the evidence. Remember how GIDDY he was when her returned from were ever he had spent the afternoon. Just like he was on that damn plane when they delivered the money. Duane made lots of mistakes in his life - he was always looking over his shoulder...the way his eyes would dart around the room - either casing out a hit or afraid there was someone in the room who might recognize him and rat him out to me. We didn't argue and we enjoyed each others companionship, he was a GOOD father, handyman around the house (nothing he couldn't fix or repair). No one including me could find the repaired chair - that is how good he was. Duane made compulsive decisions and he did some really stupid things from what I have found about his past. I expect when he told me about the guy who was arrested in St.Pete and when asked his occupation he said "Crook I guess". My comment was with a laugh "That was Stupid!" Then just about 3 yrs ago you guys came up with the Treasure Isle arrest when the FBI had NEVER EVEN told me about this - why? I learned about the Treasure Isle incident on a public thread and THAT is WHEN I REALIZED Duane Weber had told me about his life in third person. That was the moment that all of the stories he had told me about knowing a boy or use to know a guy who did this or that - he WAS TALKING ABOUT HIMSELF! This was when the pieces of the puzzle started to just fall into place over and over. My mind started to remember the 3rd person stories...and they just kept coming. Suddenly my life with Duane Weber started to make sense. The man without a past had something to hide. 12 yrs of marriage I didn't know he was an excon until 1995. When we had only been together for a few month and living in CO. Duane had the night mare about the Aft stairs - waking up screaming and reaching up in to the air. "I'm going to Die, I left my prints on the aft stairs". He had been mumbling in his sleep just before he made the statement and then the BLOOD CURDLING SCREAM!. He got up had some Brandy - he was shaking. HE also took a pill, but I do not know what it was. I asked him what was Aft stairs and he said it was the stairs in a jail. I remember I was getting scared and repeated "Jail" with a little alarm in my voice. He quickly made it sound like he was real young and he got into some trouble with a couple of boys - made it sound like a county reformatory. I asked what Aft stairs was - and he just said it was the stairway in the jail. I didn't know any differnce - I took his word. Part of why when I was reading MAX's book in 1996 and found the plane stair way was called Aft Stair that I freaked and was on the phone to the FBI. I do NOT remember how many times I called them that night but it was at least 3 times. What does any of the above have to do with The Idiot Plant? I know, but for right now I will keep it to myself. Less than a yr - who are you quoting Kaye or Palmer? Palmer said less than a yr! I have negatives of The Market, but that was the only place I took pics, beside the room. It was raining and the pics of the Market Place were bad - but I never destroy negatives. Duane was at a manager's meeting for Family Life Ins and I am not sure I kept the news letter. After Duane died I threw away lots of things. At one time I had the flyer they gave us to find the site of the meetings. It maybe with the 1979 tax reports. I have the pics made in the room and I am sure the hotel probably has some of the decor of past days in pictures with the history of the building. This is where Duane bought me the pinky ring - an old black hills gold ring at the Eye of the Needle after dinner one night. I expect there might be something with the tax records. If you are inferring I made up the trip - you would have to be out of your mind. NO way! We toured the new MASSIVE computer they had put in and were so proud of. The president of the company was McMillian and we called him Max. I forget his first name right now. Max and Duane engaged in a conversation about the bridge being out after the flood. Max told him he still had to take the ferry over. Max noted that Duane knew a lot about WA. I was surprised at Duane's answer - how very appropriate now that I know is past. "I spent some time here!" and I think he stated a time frame but my mind will not let me remember the details of the conversation. Max and Duane talked in detail about Seattle, but someone engaged me in conversation so I did not hear everything that was said. Remember I was reading the direction flyer for on of the parties and the gave us a Seattle map. I told Duane he was not going the right way and he said this is just a short cut. Yea, a short cut it was not it was a detour to the airport and this is when he told me the fence was not like he remembered it...(it did change). He did NOT mention that was a sight of plane that had been hijacked. The pointed to a building on street over that was 2 storys tall and told me it used to be a motel, but now it was office building. SO he knew WA and obviously he was there before and after the motel became an office. Geeze - you asked a simple question and I just couldn't shut up! I get on a roll and I just keep on rolling. Robert: I have dial up and can view very little other than searches - no videos nor get the news. I do NOT use public equipment because I require a specific set up with my seating and the distance the screen is from my face and how high it is....NO need to explain that any further. The terminology used was LESS than a yr. ALSO we do NOT know where the money was stored prior to 1979. Duane kept a metal file box in the trunk and it was locked---I would later learn that was were he kept his old tax report (they did NOT fill up that file box), He may have had contained the old magazines and the ticket and other momentos from his past and his family. I think he retrived the money from were ever he went for 5 1/2 hours that morning he disappeared...at THE DALLES. He also disappeared the entire afternoon before our last night in Seattle. I have thought perhaps he was NOT with the other agents and he rented a room to check out his package and found some of it was still good, but part of it was not spendable. Remember he went to supposedly see the wife of a friend in The Dalles area, but he was dead and she supposedly asked him to move something in the shed. His explanation for being soiled when he returned to the motel in The Dalles. Since I do NOT know were he was during those 2 time spans - what I have stated is PURE theory. I have stated this many time. The money may have already been in a deterioated condition created in the storage area with mold or mildew or mite or silverfish or what-ever other culprits existed in the areas. Those holes in the money could have come from the "storage" place. When he disappeared in Seattle, I did ask him were he had been because he was NOT with the other agents. They had not seen him since noon. Duane said he had looked up an old friend, but never told me who that friend was. I think it was another hotel room. We were late for the banquet and I did NOT address the problem the next day - I already knew NOT to ask too many questions and he didn't ask me about my prior marriage - outside of when he first met me and when we went to see my family who retired to FL. Well, Robert why don't you be MORE specific with your use of torqued. If the money was placed in a hole on the beach beneath or under a shed - just how would one propose the hole be dug if the perpetrator carried NO instrument with which to dig - other than his own gloved hands. If one is placing something on a beach how would you propose a person do this. Assuming a person did do this. If one reachs down and digs a hole in the sand - they used their fingertip or gloved hand. The bottom of the hole will be more narrow than the top. If your reference to Torgue is twisted - THINK! The first roll would be bent to fit down in the hole and the other packets would lie flat. OLD lady common sense. Make fun of it but, I was with him the day he took a walk down to the beach at Tena's bar and told me to stay in the car. he had on a blue nylon wind breaker - the pocket were large enough to hold several bundles of banded money. When he got back in the car is when he put a paper sack near his gas pedal foot and then that is when I ASKED him what the bag was for and he told me it was trash he was going to get rid of at the next stop. That next stop was THE RED LION INN! Give me a lie detector test - have me swear under oath - anything - whatever it takes. Even a truth serum if the Dr.s will allow it for me. I just quoted my comment on the bridge - I even have the number wrong and what I was referring to was the new bridge they built (the big one) - it was NOT there in 1979. It was there on my 2010 trip because I used it to get to and from the airport...if it was finished in 2001 when I went - I do not remember the documentary crew using it - perhaps it was still under construction! I am NOT trying to confuse any issues. In 2001 I was at the mercy of students hired to act as quides for the crew and myself - the guide / driver had ONLY BEEN living in WA for 2 yrs! I hate CAMERAS and I was very nervous about so many people and they did everything very fast. Had it not have been for some people who took me in - for a couple of days and actually lived in the area and showed me the places AFTER the crew left - the trip would have been for ought! They did MORE damage to the investigation than good. Remember JT's 2 page newpaper spread he go about the TAXI driver. After that he dissed every suspect that came along - He wasted 4 plus yr discrediting me in every way he could. But, I had trusted him with the same information I have told in this thread - then he came to this thread 6 yrs plus after I severed contact with him and dissed me in the thread - NOW you know the motive. He and I have made peace but I will never ever forgive him. Big diffence between peace and forgiving...they do NOT always go hand in hand. I believe I probably stated I was working thur my memories of the trip. I did NOT need a map to recall my memories - but memories can be random. I have some maps from 2010 I purchased and others that Sluggo gave me. The map he provide zero in on my memories, but I have a hard time reading maps - always have. Amazing - huh! I can remember what I see but I can no longer balance my check book to the penny and I still have a very hard time with maps. The old maps are great - the new maps are too cluttered and too difficult to read. That is the way it should be done and I commend you with the details you address. The only reason to mention the bridge is say it was NOT there in 1979, but it was there in 2010. Since someone else was doing the driving for the documentary in 2001 - I do NOT know it is was there in 2001, but you say it was. I only was trying to relay it was not there in 1979. All I was trying to do was relay what I remembered. I have not gone back to review the post..my energy is currently being use to try to stay out of the hospital. I have my memory and my word - that is NOT proof, but Duane went down the River at Tena's bar and he took something with him and then he threw a bad out at the Red Lion. He also took something down to the river across from the PDX and just West of the PDX. Duane was a litter bug I guess - maybe he was burying candy wrappers! Roads and subdivisions: I do NOT have a Portland map from 1971, but what I remember from 1979 was the remarks that Duane made. The current 205 bridge was NOT there. When Duane and I went into Oregon from the I-5 bridge (old and iron) we then turned East along the river and along the riverside of the airport. This is when he pointed out some building on the airport grounds - like storage building and mentioned someone leaving a car there yrs ago...he did NOT say when. We traveled long the river close enough to see the river and what was across the river. He pointed out an airstrip onmy side (Southside) and along the River (Northside) what looked like low warehouses and small offices. I was able to trace the trip, but things had changed. I accidently found the small airport he told me about when I pulled off the road to a motel and there was the damn airport (but of course it had changed. This would be the Troutdale airstrip (back in the day). Somewhere along this area he noted a highway and said he didn't know they had completed the interstate to that point on the road we were driving on. I do not remember the point at which he said that. I do NOT have an old map to know what was there in 1971 versus 1979. He talked about the islands and knowing someone who lived along the river and/or on the river at one time. Houses on the river. He talked about the pipelines and powerline that crossed the river. I got the impression he might have worked on them and at that little airstrip. He used the words "the guys" flew in and out of there as he did with the Dalles and Yakima (but with Yakima he mentioned moving heavy equipment at an airstrip. On down the road he pointed across the river to the North and noted the columns of a bridge and told me there was a marina on the other side of the bridge. We continued East until he pointed to a road that went to the Mt Hood area and a Government park of some kind. I now forget his words but they are in this thread someplace. I have been here many yrs and I am tired and time is taking its toll on my memories. I thought we were head back toward the Dalles and going home. He suddenly pulled onto a side road and said "You want to go to Tahoe?" I asked if we could afford it. he said they had given him a cash bonus at the meeting! NO they didn't! We turned around and headed back toward Portland - as we approach the area of the columns on the Northside of the river is when he told me about the guys stealing a boat from a marina and letting it loose across from the PDX ( I just remembered something I am not sure I ever stated before - he mentioned an airstrip ACROSS from the PDX, but I keep thinking I have to be mistaken - because it would be awfully close to the PDX). Not sure why I had not remember this before, but maybe I did - it has been a lot of yrs - too many yrs. I felt I needed to insert it right now while I had it in my memory banks) Now I remember - he told me about the airstrip across from the PDX when he took me to the DAMN GREEN TANK after he made me stay in the car while he took the snowshovel down to the river on the WA. side and at that time we were just west of the PDX. I do not even remember why I started on this post, but it is the memories flooding my mind for some reason. Perhaps because the Dr. ordered MORE test on my heart - I had walked out of the ER Tuesday morning after refusing to be admitted. I saw my physician today, but he did NOT know anything about the ER - the employee had NOT told him this and they did NOT have the EKG, but they had the blood tests. I had been up for 23 hrs and NO way was I going to let them admit me to do more test in 3 hrs...when the daytime staff came on. I wanted to GO HOME and home I drove at 4:30 on Tuesday morning. By the time I crawed in bed I had been without sleep for 26 hrs. I know I have rambled and I do not even know why I am posting this. Oh, Shutter asked me a question. It was a connector or part of a connection to the interstate - or it was the interstate was completed to that point. I don't know he did the driving - I just observed...and listened. I know that we did NOT see lots of home - if so they were way off the highway. As we went further South I did see more homes - but lots and lots of open spaces. Then he does something and head at an angle across the state at an angle - to the state of Oregon. Along this route he mentioned Gresham and knowing someone that used live there that worked in aretirement home. I NOW know that Tina worked and lived in Gresham in 1979 when we were out there - that was a coincidence I found ODD and mentioned it to Mr. H yrs ago. He talked about jumpers and a man with a lot of bird. I found this man and he doesn't remember Duane - this man had the other 2 jumpstrip in WA...I will never know why Duane mentioned this. I sent the man pictures of Duane and his lady of the day - but, he didn't remember him. Again Duane mentions Government Camp and the boys and then on to Redmond and to Tahoe. Been a long day - so good night. Do not know if I answered the question, but only what I got in my head - NO maps- No NOTES just my fricking memory which I wish I had never had. It makes NO difference how good my memory is and how hard I have worked for the last 17 yrs. -I won't be heard in my life time and that is so very frustrating. Everyday I pray there will be answers and that the phone will ring and someone will say "We are Sorry - we were wrong or we actually missed it". The GOVERNMENT or the AUTHORITIES NEVER ADMIT THEIR MISTAKES OR APOLOGIZE FOR THEIR COVER-UPS. You do realize that what is stated above supports the fact that the money was buried on the beach. Why only one packet had been exposed to a torque! Not sure I understand what is meant by a torque other than it had been subjected to turbulence of some kind. I have asked if anyone had pictures of the BEACH as it was in 1979. If there was a shed along the fence and under the trees and toward the back of the house. If there was and Cooper put the money as far under the shed as he could reach and dig without being notice - WHAT would that do to the wads of money when exposed to the elements including rising water and current. Probably buried as deep as on could with their hands. I have stated before that that money was NOT put on that beach until Sept of 1979! When are any of you ever going to get your act together. You guys have had the drop zone for Cooper ALL OVER THE PLACE! 1st it is one place and then it is East because of the money find and then it is back to the middle. Then over Tena's bar and them back again to the East! WHAT none of YOU do is TALK to the RIGHT people. Witnesses ON the ground who made reports to the paper and who called the FBI in 1971. I do NOT know what conclusion if any the simulation came to - it was back and forth...but my last under standing was that NO pilot would have taken that plane over Portland Proper as it would have had to have done to go over Tina's bar. There was a lot of housing in that area. The area to the East was NOT so populated in 1971. ASK the co-pilot and the pilot if he were still alive would tell you the same thing. THEY did what was best for the Crew and in the event - Cooper triggered his bomb. Does anyone in their right mind think they TRIED to dump Cooper with his bomb NEAR Portland or over Portland. THINK again! That big Major Highway to the EAST of Portland had NOT been finished - maybe not even started. The build up in the EAST had not started. Lots of land - a few scattered subdivisions. To the East beyond the Hwy - it was scarely populated at that time and if the plane went down IT MIGHT not hit a heavily populated area. Lots of open space in 1971! CHECK out the TOPO maps - Some of you chuck heads are a waste of time for the public and for anyone really looking for answers. WHAT are you guys (Georger and Robert99) - are you on the CIA, FBI or some other government payroll? There are others who actually try to work with facts and explore the options, but you will notice that certain individuals always come back that their word or opinion is the only possiblity. Are any of you aware that INCOMING planes into PDX were canceled until the skyjack plane was out of their space????? Any one of you have any proof that incoming flights landed at the time that Cooper's plane went over Portland or was in the air space around Portland? DUH! They wanted that air space clear when the Skyjacked plane was in their area. The authorities did think about the dangers to the people on the ground and not just in the Skyjack plane. There WAS a perimeter set up and no plane was with in a certain distance of the SKYJACK plane. The airspace of the flight was kept clear of other planes - this may not have been protocol, but is how the men on ground and at the radar reacted. The airlines had to protect itself - not just the plane with the Skyjacker on it. If that plane was going to BLOW or come down it would be in an area of least harm to other on the ground! Jo, If this fellow wants to check an area that you are interested in, it must be on the east side of Portland. And nowhere close to where Cooper jumped. So there is no point in getting excited about this. Robert99 It is not the East side at all. Problem is how Cooper got to the East Side. I know the route he is talking about, but there is a qich - as to how he get from Heisson to an area lower without being spoted. Seems he walked some trails to get from point a to point b and then point c along a creek, pipelines nad streams. Stayed down low. It is just a theory no one ever checked out and I frankly don't know how he got that far in one day, but it is possible. Then hides out real low in an area used by fishermen and a place most knew nothing about...then makes it to the Washougal and it was a piece of cake for there on. Jumps a rail, but get off a couple of times and then makes a phone call at a pay phone and lies low until a woman pics him up but she supposedly had man with her. Too many people to keep a secret, unless they are related in some way. A cabin on a creek with a bend in it is where he stayed - NOW this is theory and nothing to back it up. It was not very wooded along the route, but plenty of places to lay low if anyone approached. Couldn't make it back to a car they hid. It is pure theory if there was an accomoplice and if it was a woman - might have worked. Just something derived from things he said. He would have been walking in some deep woods alos, but if he knew the area the way he knew it in 1979 - it is possible. Had to get back to the rails going East...but afraid to say on the rails. IT is all theory and could be something he did during whatever time he spent in Wa. Involved towers and airstrips. but it would have taken him 3 days. Walked the power lines and the pipelines - probably becuase he was involved in building them. All guesses from thing he talked about. Doesn't mean this happened when Cooper jumped, but he had done it before - hid in a park near a cemetary. Why I always thought he had a walky talky and she met him at a certain spot....logging camps. At one point there used to rails thru there, but they take them up and move them to save money but they still leave a good trail. ALL theory - nothing more. WELL, U are so very wrong! The 1st leads they got right after the crime came OUT of THE prison in JEFFERSON!. Two to be specific. Remember I have been talking to the main characters for 17 yrs. In a 17 yr period of time - people slip and they say thing perhaps not meant for the general population. I even brought this up when CARR was on this thread. He supposedly checked to see what happen to the the MS federal agents notes. A lead is turned over to an agent in that state and that agent or agents follow up on the lead. We know the orders where received, but conveniently the paper work sent to WA State or DC have conveniently disappeared - per Carr. I want to know the names of the 2 men who contacted the FBI from the prison. Since Jefferson was the only prison Duane told me anything about & the only one I had any knowledge of. He had started dialysis and was seeing a Dr. to help him through the process of acceptance. Remember he had tried right after going on the machine to get a DRIVER LICENSE under the name of John Collins. Well Duane pulled one on the system even with that little charade....he actually obtained a FL. State Drivers License in Fla the day before they arrested him. His attempt in one county failed and he went straight to the next county over and actually got the license. When the FBI finally came to see me in 1997 they looked straight at that drivers license - I am sure he got copies of the contents of the found wallet - but he missed the most important thing which I later brought up to the FBI and to agent Carr. It might seem insignificant to anyone else, but if a man is arrested for trying to obtain a Fl drivers license fraudulently and a FBI agent sees one in a wallet hidden from the widow under another name - why was he not curious enough to check it out? I also sent the FBI copies of the stuff in the wallet - I have a copy of that letter with a copy of the pictures I sent. WHY did that not get them curious about Weber. WHY did that JEFFERSON file or lack of them finding one on Weber NOT arouse an interest beyond the norm. Even the ex-wife who was married to him during this period of time - WAS never questioned about his stay in Jefferson. Were the agents who went to see her out of CA that un-informed? Couldn't they see she was as scared as a cat on a hot tin roof! It took me a long time to get her to talk to me. SHE was married to Duane as John C. Collins so the FBI could NOT have been that damn naive! Could they? They never interviewed the adult children other than the one girl who was living with her mother in CA. Well, that daughter unloaded one day when her mom was not home and I called. Maybe she was just mad at her MOM at that time and told me a pack of lies. She was bitter about a son she had to give away in 1970 or 1971 (I forget now). She was crying when she told me that the people she "gave him too" she only had ONE request that they keep one of the names she had given him...which I assure they did....I will never tell how I know this, but some day perhaps all of the sibling will meet each other. She would then many yrs later give another son that name - so his loss really meant something to her....I thought it was a very touching story and was very grateful for that conversation she and I sneaked in on her mother. I never told her mother what she told me....it seemed very private to her (why she shared it with me I will never know). Oh, Well no one cares about the ramblings of a widow chasing the past of someone she loved and was obviously deceptive and a very good liar during the 18 yrs she spent with him. It is what it is - should I be naive enough to believe that the man REALLY LOVED me - Loved me enough to put his past in the past. But, that meant our marriage was a lie. Was I simply a shield he could use since my name was the name he used for 7 yrs of his life. Who was I really married to? A con man who could have used me and left me broke and homeless and stranded in CO. or anyone of the other states we lived in. The man I loved and who made me feel special and cherished - I didn't really know. How did he survive all those yrs in all of those prison? What was his life like? Back on TRACK. When he told me about Jefferson was in 1990 after the drivers license problem.... We did NOT discuss the time frame and I probably thought briefly he was referring to what he said in the dream during those first few month of our marriage....when he said he got in trouble with some boys and was in jail (I thought county jail) and that he was a kid. Obviously the 2 conversations were about 2 different prisons. I didn't know how to respond other than to tell him I knew he had a past and it was just that a past and not what he was today. I did ask him what it was like to be in prison - what did they do with their time. He told me they sat around and told war stories and how to pull off the BIG one. He did tell me about a couple of the inmates - pilot and veteran came up. Wonder if Vickies father was in jail at the same time as Duane in Jefferson. Just a thing that POPPED in my mind and if I wait till later I will forget to ask it. He told me that James Earl Ray was in prison with him that first yrs. and that he knew him...told me about his selling comics - a story which his wife from 1962 to 1972 verified because the person who provide the comics lived with her for a short period of time. The son who was only about 6 at that time did NOT remember her. Even told me how Ray escaped. NOTE AT THE TIME I FIRST TOLD THIS STORY I KNEW NOTHING ABOUT THE COOPER COMIC! I can verify that with email searches I did trying to find J.J. Mahoney and also trying to be able to talk to James Earl Ray thru the attorney. Got a lot of dated material but never got to speak with Jowers or Ray. Both died after that period of time. Also a phone call logged in my planner...at that time I had NO idea there was a DAN COOPER COMIC. Doesn't mean anything. Duane only said Comics and foreign - he did NOT mention what kind of Comics - if he did it flew right over the Coo Coo's Nest. We never discussed it again. If he started to talk - I just said "The past is the past - it is what we do with our lives today". If only I had know in those days what I know now - WELL, he couldn't run because of the kidney machine - so he would just have lived his life out in prison. Our life was not easy - but I am glad I didn't know who he was. He got to live a mostly NORMAL life for the first time in his life! He would tell me other things over the next 4 yrs from time to time when they fit into the conversation - but it was never ever again about prison. The Man with the Secrets! The Woman who loved him! Can only spend about 15 minutes on the computer. I did read the article Vicki posted and the other one. Sounds like "Galen Cook". I have lots of emails I saved Cook sent me (lots). The man said he was J.D. Finn, but he sound an awfully lot like Cook! That or he and Cook are talking. What was all of those replies you guys talked about. This one had NO replies that I could see - but I do NOT go to those places. What I have to say I say here on DZ. I do not expect I will be able to hang in here much longer. My heart is now creating some problems - the stress, my over-all general health and my age. Been having SERIOUS problems the last few wks - I just ignored, but last night I ended up in ER. I had been up for 23 hours when they wanted to admit me so some stress test to be done after 6AM and it was already 3:30 AM and I had been going for 23 hours. I walked OUT against medical advice, but I knew I need to rest and I could not rest there. I needed sleep and doing a stress test is very difficult with me. I cannot do the treadmill and when the drugs were used yrs ago - I had a horrible reaction. The E.R. Dr. could NOT answer one question I asked him. I directly and specifically want to know what test the hospital Dr. would be running. He could NOT tell me. He was NOT looking at my overall healht problems - my pain was along the ribs in the back - had been for days. The exhaustion and difficulty breathing got worse and worse. My arm didn't feel right and my neck and face felt funny. This has BEEN GOING ON for about a MONTH now. About the time I saw the Jefferson Pics - I have been pushing myself hard since then - NO time to loose. Was NOT going to spend our medicare dollars to be admitted to the hospital and then find a few hours later they would not be able to do the test. I was exhausted already. Only slept about 5 hrs, but have some packages to be mailed. I have to get those off. I am down to the line with time and energy. If the FBI is waiting till Nov that is too late for me. The FBI needs to "GET THE SHOW ON THE ROAD". Remember one of the things Duane said in the hospital a couple of days before he died "Let's get this Show on the road! Lets get on down road, Jo." Not sure if I remember the specific phrase anymore. but the "down the road Jo" I never forgot because Jo and Road were sound alikes. There was pounding rain pelting the window of the hospital room at that time. He still wanted to go for a ride...and that is what he was ranting about and at that time there were lots of drugs in his system. This has to END - It has to be OVER! NOW, not next month or in 6 months - NOW! Therefore I have put the wheels in motion to go public ONE last time - NOT sure I can do it. They will have to come to me. At least I made the first step it End it. Part of the steps are the 2 packages that go out today. I can only afford to send 2 a wk, but will do that until the day I die. I know Duane Weber was DAN COOPER and if the FBI has PROOF he was not - it is speak now or forever hold your piece and I do NOT mean a gun. Enlarge the PICTURE of Weber as John Collins in Jefferson. Then take the original unaltered composite of Cooper and enlarge it. Put them side by side. The use the before and after 1971 pics of Duane. The chin is all that is off. The tilt of the chin and the fact he may not have had lower at that time explain the chin. Take the composite and stretch the chin JUST ever so slightly. The Print if off in BLACK and WHITE (gray scale). Take a charcoal pencil and sketch in the side burn and make his hair just a little bit fuller along the sides. Use pictures of Duane were his hair was longer and follow the pattern. DUANE WEBER was not just a LOOK-ALIKE, he was COOPER. I did my own little project, but I want a FBI artist to do the same thing I did. Any of you can do it. Just enlarge them to LETTER SIZE on the gray scale. Every line in Duane's face matches the line in the composite...hair and chin are the only things YOU have to touch. Look at the pics of DUane before and after - there is more chin than is in the Jefferson intake. Fricking FBI hid or didn't find the most damning thing. I think it spells COVER-UP. BUT WHY? The ability of the FBI not having brought all of this foward in 1996 when they were contacted - seems ODD! The FBI makes themselves look badly. They did NOT investigate Duane the way the should have. Yea, you are right. Try to stay objective, but then lapse back in the Old Woman /Fighting FBI Sydrome. Gets frustrating! No I didn't do a book - I wanted MORE evidence. Perhaps if I had done a Book, Blevins nor Twisty Butt would be touting their wares...but I refused to let someone make up a lot of shit and I turned down a movie option for the very same reason. If I had tried to do that - the media would have destroyed me - because I go all over the place and that makes me very very difficult to follow. Why I chose the path I have - to just keep on keeping on and coming to the DZ to learn more about the things I needed to know - to find out what other had to say. By the way I have absolutely NO REGRETS about the yrs I have spent on this thread - Closure was my goal and of course and to prove he was Cooper. I known with all of heart and soul that Duane Weber was really DAN COOPER! I stood my ground, but I have lost the battle - only because I probably won't be around to see the ending. 17 yrs is a lot of time and my health has paid the price. Jo, I ASKED HIM for the post, he showed KC was enlisted, still waiting on the visible evidence for the paratrooper part. But, at least Robert has provided more than others thus far. Matt Blevins has discussed KC's history many times in this thread over the last 3 or 4 yrs. He is so repetitive, one can predict what he will say or his actions. There are errors in KC's history which the thread called to his attention or he found when he reviewed them. Blevins took the word of a brother on many things before checking them out. Like some of the military pics he posted - wrong darn war! I forget now what the problem was. If we discuss it he will be REPOSTING them all over again. I had little access to Weber's past other than what he told me and what Doug Pasternac found - YOU DO KNOW THE FBI NEVER PROVIDED ME WITH ANY INFORMATION ON WEBER'S CRIMINAL BACK GROUND! I had to call the FBI, but still got nothing other than an agent contradicting me by stating Duane was not at McNeil and he was never in the ARMY! After they had dismissed Duane on information the agent had NO knowledge of...I was instructed HOW to get the documents. This was when the representative told me the file was CLASSIFIED! ACCESS DENIED! He went to a superior for an access code and he told me I was not listed as a beneficary (was 3 yrs old in 1943). THAT IS ALL HE COULD TELL ME...I told him I was interested in a copy of my husband's records. Well, I filled out the papers and all I got was copy of what I had...one page in and out. I incorporate the story the brother sent me about an incident at Camp Siebert. The brother sent me a copy of the a letter written to his mom from the camp. Someone on the thread tried to declare it was FAKE, but it was REAL!! I knew Duane had been at Camp Siebert...and the letter was NOT fake (the brother had sent me a copy from the family records). Supposedly the originals are in the hands of a great neice - but, she has NO interest (or so she claims) to share them with me. Claimed she had not gone thru the things she inherited from her Great Uncle. I guess she thinks they will be worth a lot of money one day. She could have made my life easier by letting me pay for the floppies to be converted to disks - and she has not gone thru the actual documents she inherited. Seemed completely disinterested in the matter and never knew her great uncle Duane or that she had another Great Uncle she didn't know. She did tell me there was a note - that Duane did have paratrooper training. I think perhaps Tosaw helped him this - but all of that is just a GUESS. I have nothing to substanciate it. He and I never got to have our private meeting - because the sister had a heart attack that night!
