Cooper could have died and somebody else could have buried it. -If- the money was buried other than by nature. I HAVE no argument about that statement and something I suggested yrs ago. Especially when I already knew the story about Vickie's father - how I knew was because Duane told me he used to know the man. I did not know any more than what he told me and what was in a newpaper article I found about the conterfeit money. Why I have compassion for Vickie and you will NOTE I have never one time dissed her or her search. Why? Because I felt there was a valid reason and when he came up as a suspect it was the ONLY time I could link someone Duane knew to the crime. I do now have another link to a man who I was told tried to arrange an immunity for what he knew. This man surfaced in 2001 when he inquired about Weber to Margie Boule. I did not check it out - maybe because he did not provide her with contact information. Whatever the reason she did NOT provide me with the contact infor nor say if she had it. The items the FBI collected from me probably had multiple DNAs from yrs of handling by myself and others and were Cleaned and cleaned. Movers, people using the tools such as myself and my last husband - new items never worn by Weber & never used. They SWAB this watch band and do that DNA and it matches DNA they claimed to have collected for WEBER. If they MATCHed then I would have SHUT up and GONE away yrs ago. WHY, I think they do NOT have known DNA for Cooper...it would have been so easy to have saved the GOVT and themselves a lot of yrs or "problems" by proving they had Cooper's dna and that they had Weber's DNA. According to a poster on this thread Duane's DNA would have been distinctive - because of the PDK. Well, did any of the DNA the FBI took from the items provided show this characterist or was the poster just yanking our cjhain or trying to see HOW gullible a group of people could be in the Cooper hunt? The randomization, because they were in a hurry, does not make sense. Hurried bankers know how to bundle money properly. So prove your claim. Nobody said hurry was the sole cause. Your contention that he Ingram find represents bills from at least 17 previously packed and recorded bundles ... requires proof! If what you are saying is true that would be a BIG revelation ... as you very well know. Yea! It sure would and the FBI would NOT be happy about that one. It would only prove that Cooper survived and planted the money. Not sure I really understand any of the last pages of the thread. Can hardly sit here to post his. That was Tosaw's book and the amount was just under 240K - NOT MYTH - completely fact. The author was an attorney. His book was one of the better books and the only one in which the author personally spent a lot of time interviewing the individuals - one of which is Tina. This is the only writer I know she actual co-operated with and spent time with. He also gave the most extensive interview with Mitchell that has ever been given. Mitchell sat the closest to Cooper and did NOT move until the money transactions took place. Mitchell is the one who noted something hanging out from under Cooper pants leg - whatever it was stood out from his pants and shoes. Thick socks or long underwear was suggested....must have been quiet obvious for an 18 yr old to remember it. They did NOT have long to get the money - and have you ever tried to copy even on todays equipment - dollar bills (both sides). The money was already recorded - waiting to be picked up. I do not know who thinks the money had to have serial numbers in a specific order to be traced. he exercise that has been going on seems like a diversive action - it make no sense to me, but then I make no sense to others. If all the serial number had been recorded before hand - all they had to do was check the one left - around 38K and the other #'s on the file would be the Cooper numbers. At least if I worked for the government - that is the way I would have done it! Government always does thing back assward! Some flights going out of Vancouver that after noon were only at 1/2 capacity for some reason. I do know one said he had on a black suit and another said a brown suit - so they probably did pay a lot of attention. When Cooper was in the boarding area - he was the last to board. Who ever that was remembered because he was holding back on boarding. I don't remember where I read this - but, it was in some of the physical things I read - articles, books or magazines. Of course when an FBI agent comes to talk to you - you at least would try to remember. Like everyone else I forget which agent sold the ticket and who was in the boarding area....after 17 yrs one would think I would know this. After all these yrs - from 1996 to now - the only book I have read over multiple time was Gunthers book - the one that is 98% fiction. That book is how I found out D.B.Cooper actually gave his name as Dan Cooper. That was the night the lights came on May 25th 1996. Had I not have read Gunther's book, after a friend suggested Duane might be D.B.Cooper I would have never have understood his confession in the hospital 14 months before. Does ANYONE have knowledge of the copying equipment in 1971. NO WAY could they have copied all of those bills after the demand was made for 20's and 200K. There was over 200K sitting there waiting for something just like this to happen. In fact it was just a little over 200K sitting in that vault - wonder if Cooper knew this? Well, it makes sense - at least to me. The bank did not copy or repack those bills - time was important. The money WAS there for just such and event! All the authorities had to do was go get it after one of 2 bank clerks fumbled over the unlocking of the safe For yrs I have read this stuff about the money being copied after Cooper made his demands knowing it just was NOT possible in 1971 for such a machine to be available at the location of the money. There was more than 200k on hand - all they had to do was check the numbers of the remaining monies to compile the numbers on the SKYJACK bills.. As Alice and Florence hesitated to leave Tina behind, Cooper offered them the change from his pockets and after they shook their heads - the said ''Wait a second" at that time he pulled out 2 (two) packets and said "here, take these. I don't want them." They refused and did not think about the packets having finger prints on them. So now we have 2 packets - and believe you me I believe this story far more than anything anyone has said because the person who wrote this accounting actually inteviewed the women. When the refueling kink happened Cooper said they were stalling and started to hit his fist against his hand and in a rage. When I was re-reading this book for the first time - I wondered why I had not re-read it before. Weber did that same damn thing when he was impatient - telling me to "come on - hurry it up" - he would not be shouting or angry - just wanting me to speed things up....so we could get on the road. According to Tina Cooper was hysterical and threatening to blow up the plane because the refueling truck had pulled away. He did NOT calm down until another truck started to hook up. The crew was upset and thought it was a stall themselves. Cooper did NOT want stops in SanFrancisco or LosAngeles - claiming they were too large. GOD I wish had reread this book yrs and yrs ago. Hell - San Francisco and Los Angeles are the last 2 places Cooper wanted to be. Duane Weber had STRONG TIES to both areas (besides his record) SanFrancisco and LosAngles. He had a sister living in Modesto and a brother there and the area his parents lived and died in. LAST place he wanted to land! I will remind you guys that Cooper asked the lights in the cabin be turned out by Tina before she went forward. Well, we know why he wanted the lights out! At 8:04 the crew felt a slight movement. This was 28 minutes after takeoff. At that time the crew wanted to know if Cooper was still there. He answered 'Everything is fine now". 8:13 the crew felt a burst of pressure in their ears. It has been a known fact since the beginning that Cooper did NOT write the name on the ticket! Comes in 3's? What does that have to do with Cooper? Just more trivia! 1. The Spokane arrest on Weber prior to 1950. 2. The Prison photo concealed from Jo for 17 yrs. 3. Kaye's unusual statement of recent - or will one say he mispoke? NOW WHAT! Is the circle completed? Far from it. When the FBI acknowledges they missed the John Collins driver's license that Duane ACTUALLY obtain under the name of John Collins in 1990 - and the purpose for which he HAD to obtain that drivers license. He risked being arrested to get that license. The FBI missed the reciept that was in the wallet that proved he did obtain the license just prior to that in another counnty in FL. How and Why did the FBI miss this important detail? They made copies of all of the "stuff". Agent Carr was informed of this and was told it would take some kind of Fedederal Warrant to obtain the information on the safe deposit box. Duane opened that box in 1980 after the money was found and feared I might connect all of this. Remember we made the WA trip in the early fall of 1979. The box was paid forward for 10 yrs. He knew if he was going to collect the "stuff" in that box he had to do it by March of 1990. That is what he did! He risked everything to collect his momentos....the things I have described over the yrs. The mouse, the ticket, the stub, what was left of the money and his pride. From 1990 those things where in my home in 1995, but the DUMB BROAD didn't understand what he was telling her...."I'mmm Dan Cooper!" Was he just the man on the ground or was he really DAN COOPER? "Oh, F---! Let it die with me!" We were married for 17 yrs and I have fought his battle for over 17 yrs and I am very very tired. The truths he spoke will now die with me or will they? Well that should clear up the fact (if anyone has doubts) that Dan Cooper didn't write his name on the ticket. Now we have the problem of.... The 3 Bundle Enigma. XYZ - seems like everyone is focused on producing new information and actually trying to solve this damn thing. I attribute the recent progress of this thread to the fact that another poster is not here prosthelizing a book. You will also note my postings are providing informative and shooting straight from the hip. I am not selling anything - all though I have a story that needs to re-examined. I have found nothing that changes my mind and much of what is going on re-affirms my thoughts. My purpose is to expose my subject and find out more about him - not to SELL him to the public. I believe most of you know that to be true....show me the proof my subject was NOT Cooper and you will find me sitting on the side lines. If the FBI had any information to discredit my subject - they would have produce DOCUMENTATION of such a LONG long time ago. Any exclusions cannot be based on prints or dna the FBI "thinks" belonged to Cooper, but documentation that proves a subject could not be Cooper. Prints and DNA are questionable since the FBI does NOT know whose DNA or prints they have....they have never been able to verify the particial prints or the dna in their possession are Coopers. DNA was not even considered in 1971 and only after the fact from an article which had been handled & contaminated. This information is not a factor at this time....until they prove the DNA and Prints positively belonged to Cooper. The site from which the supposed prints where taken - the FBI has stated they could have been prints there since the plane was built or from someone working on the plane at times. HOLY COW... Cooper offers Tina one bundle of cash. In the later half of 1976 several newpapers print all the Cooper serial numbers (3 Bundles per page) About 3 years later 3 Bundles found at Tena/Tina Bar. Tina becomes a Nun. IT'S A MIRACLE!!!! I tell you, IT'S A MIRACLE!!! Newspapers printing 3 Bundles per page attached (From FBI file) Another Story I was unware of. Was the story carried in the South? Cooper selects Tena's bar because of his knowledge of the area and he chose 3 bundles to deposit there. This seems like more than a co-incidence. Cooper knew the money would probably be found - and the authorities would think he was dead or was the placing of the money there a tribute to someone else....someone Cooper knew! I do not expect he linked Tena's bar to Tina so I would disregard any thoughts in that direction. WHY did Cooper choose Tena's bar? Answer that question and perhaps one might discover the answers to many other questions. Since Weber knew where Tena's bar was and told me about they used to put a nickel in the box to use the beach....but, who did he spend time with on that beach. The Boys or a good friend? Would be interesting if there were any old archived pictures of guests who went to Tena's bar AFTER it was know as Tena's bar and when the coin box was put up. WOW! Finally a story that has never been told. How do you make all of the connections? I did divide your post off into paragraphs so people like me could see the impact of this. There are other stories out there I am sure NO ONE has heard outside of the FBI. Was very interesting! Bet this. Cooper got scared, but where was he for 2 wks. Perhaps some place healing his wounds and getting the dye out of his hair. I bet unbeknowest to the man a woman lurked in the background. They ended up on a flight or in a car to CA. What was unclear was if the man worked in Sea Tac or PDX. Can you find the answer to that question...? Sure wish there had been cameras in the terminals and the same woman may have been lurking in the background at a Motel in Portland the night before the crime. When my husband was ill they gave him s medication called Merinol - I think that was a form of liquid marijana....but it cost about 2K per month. As much pain as I am feeling the last few days - sure wish I had some. The stuff I have is like taking an aspirin...and all it does is upset my stomach. I REALLY REALLY want to get to WA, but don't know why or how - just want to take Duane home! He didn't stop smiling the entire time we were in WA. He was giddy! Jo Replied: PS Note I am reposting this with an addendum. Sick and TIRED of people giving credit to those who did NOT know the information like Bruce. When I contacted Mr. Himmelsbach in 1996 - he and I discussed the location of Tina in 1979. I shared this information with Cook, Gray, Bruce, Doug Pasternak,...and many others yet, WHO is given the credit for this - someone who USES people and the information of others and presents it as their own. It was no secret regarding Tina's location in 1979. Why Mr. Himmelsbach had NO PROBLEM with the information - he shared with me BECAUSE Duane had told me on the 1979 trip to WA, he knew a woman in Gresham who worked in a retirement home. I have written proof I told Cook this. I also told Bruce. It is a matter of record and no credit to someone who publishes it and claims it is his own. It was public knowledge, but not something I was able to acquire on my own since I didn't have a computer in 1996....the source was Mr. Himmelsbach and her location in 1979 was NO secret. I was inquiring if she had any problems with a break-in of some sort during 1979. WHY, because she immediately relocates and goes into a facility...she also avoided the media at this time. I thought maybe the FBI had relocated her - but, I never got a reply to that....I believe I even spoke to the active FBI about her location and enquired if there had been a break-in. Perhaps it was ONLY Mr. H I spoke to. At that time in 1997 - I had NOT discussed the picture of the little girl - even now I cannot verify if it was Tina - if it was Tina - how the HELL did Duane Weber get it? This has been discussed in the thread by me and pre-Bruce if I remember correctly. I have also in this thread suggested things Tina and Cooper may have discussed. I believe there was conversation NEVER made public! Otherwise - explain her comment to me "He was a VERY sad man!" Yea, Carr told the FBI this and they used it on their site - yet, the statement had ONLY been made to Jo Weber by Tina in a private conversation! You will NOT find this in Tina's statements to the FBI. Why she told me - I still do not know. That STATEMENT made to me seemingly leads to one to believe more conversation took between Cooper and Tina...perhaps, never revealed to the FBI. Something personal had to have been discussed to cause her to speak passionable about a man who held her hostage on a plane and had a bomb. What ever she said worked - such as all of the little saying in that book with the picture in it. He used that as his guideline to reform himself - it took a while, but he did it. If that book is her book I want to personally hand it to her. It is crumbling with damage due to how it was stored by Duane where ever it was hidden - it did NOT come into the home until 1990 after his little trip to Omaha to retrieve the contents of a safe Deposit box...he paid forward for 10 yrs. Jo States It was called Tena Bar, but somewhere along the way in the Cooper Saga it was changed to Tina. The change was made because someone made a sign and put Tina instead of Tena and they just let it RIDE. (felt it was appropriate I guess)This was discussed on the river in 2001 when Himmelsbach and I were on the river with one of the Fazios. Since there have been so many posts regarding this - thought it was time to stop smirking and ROLLING my eyes. Now you know! I have known this since 2001! I never saw the documentary they made or if it was ever used. Useless Trivia, but hope this answers the question. 1971 it was Tena and then the sign in 2001 said Tina. I do not remember Fazio stating a time frame. So now all you have to do if find out when Mr. H was on the river before 2001 and then you will not the time frame. Really not important....it was not deliberate and merrily a mistake by who ever made the sign. It has remained Tina's bar - just because of the Cooper Story...and a mistake - THAT is the TRUE story of how Tena's bar became known ad Tina's bar. I do what you do and then I have to go back and edit it and sometimes I JUST give up and delete the person's statement I am replying to. Where was Tina LIVING in 1979. That's one I think I can answer. I heard she was living in Gresham, Or ----not far the the money find and a place Duane mentioned to me and knowing a woman who worked in a retirement home there. According to hearsay - it was after the money find she went into seclusion at the place she was to become a nun near Eugene. Was it fear? Also note that Himmelsbach made NO contact with her at that time. I find that odd! Since Duane's ex-wife worked for a credit card company in CA. in the same area as Tina obtained her divorce and Duane and his ex had communicaations I am PERSONALLY aware of. I personally put Weber on a plane in 1977 to CA to make sure he was NOT still in love with this woman. IF his lady of the day knew he was Cooper and kept up with Tina - the divorce would have triggered changes in address or ownership. If it is TRUE she worked for a credit card company (she did claim to me she worked for one) she could have provided Weber with Tina's location. Maybe he left her a gift in 1979 and perhaps took a little something of hers - a picture and maybe a little book. The above sentence is pure speculation on my part - but something I think might have happened because it sounds like something Duane would do. He had attachments to individual and he did little things like leaving gifts. It is something he would have done. but he would also have taken a personal momento. Duane kept a picture of my daughter near his bed - up until the day he died. He chose the frame and put it in the frame. Tina and my daughter bore a eerie resemblance to each other. A look that was fragil, long blonde hair and the features are very close....my daughter was NOT as tall. I tried to tell this over the yrs but NO one heard me!
