Jo States: The company paid for the trip from Ft. Collins to Seattle. They did NOT pay for the side trips. The only paid $ per mile based on mileage they provided. The hotel stay in the The Dalles (was our own expense) as was the extra unplanned trip to Tahoe and the hotels there. Remember - I thought we were headed home and on the OREGON side when we got past where you could see Washougal across the Columbia - he pulls off on to a road and says "Do you want to go to Tahoe" and I asked him "Can we afford it". His reply is the company gave him a cash bonus. Well, that WAS not true as there is no record of it in our taxes for 1979. We spent 4 or 5 nights in Seattle at Company expense and in Tahoe we paided OUR own expenses and I had never been in a casino. He got me rolls of quarters and other coins and then would take me to a specific area and tell me NOT to leave that area and he would pick me up on his way out. He did this at several Casino's. At one Casino - my money was gone fast and I wandered thru the Casino looking for him and found him at a CARD table. He immediately cashed out and then we go to another casino, but there was someone there he wanted to see. It was an employee only area. He is gone for a long time and when he comes out I mention Englebert was playing there that night and he asked me if I wanted to go. I asked if we could afford it as I alway did. He again orders me to wait for him and he goes back to that same door that said employees only and has 2 tickets. That night I learn the tickets were prime seating tickets on the second ROW of tables right infront of Englebert. He never told me how much they cost. Jo States: We spent the night in THE DALLES on our own and at our own expense becase Duane wanted to take an extra day hitting Salt Lake and The Dalles. The company only paid for the gas mileage from Ft. Collins to Seattle - I suppose they would have flown us and I do not know if they offered the option of flying versus driving. The meetings did NOT start until the next day. This was NOT a one day meeting. This was for several days. The hotel was arranged for and a dinner voucher in the hotel for the first night. Meetings started the next day. Jo States: Our income was COMMISSION only and no one was salarled. You worked when you wanted and there was a quota to be met - WE both were licensed with the same Company. If you wanted to take a vacation - you worked you ass off before and afterwards. Since we were in Ft. Collins, Co and sevicing N. Co and all of Wym we did NOt even have to go to Denver for all of the weekly meetings. Some meeting were mandatory - but, what they wanted to see was production and we produced. I think you do not understand the nature of the job. We were traveling sales person in Wym and resident in CO - we worked out of our home and motels. Jasper was a long way way from Ft.Collins and there was lots of snow in the winter. The Trip in 1979 - well, I wasn't the one driving and it was not my car, so I have NO idea how many mile we put on the car in 1979. One could estimate it according to the route we took and all of the side trips. We DID NOT FLY to WA. We drove from FT.Collins, CO to Salt Lake arriving there around noon. We left Salt lake and arrived at The Dalles later that day. This was on our own time and at our own expense. We stayed just off of the interstate and drove into The Dalles for dinner and he pointed out many many things to me. We had dinner at a place he knew near the river. Actually I fell in love with the area...and I want to go back. The nest morning he disappeared for 5 1/2 hours. Then around noon we headed down the river on the OR side and then he turned around at Mt. Hood and we crossed the Columbia at the Bridge of the GODS. Along hwy 14 he points out many towns and tells me stories about these areas. He takes me many places in Washougal and he makes many side trips in that area with flip backs to the town and up the the loop in the Washougal river and then on to the other side of the river and then back down the river to a road he had missed. That road took us past another cemetary I could not even see and then on to 500. While in the Washougal area he talks about Bonneville and things that went on there - he tells me about the different hills or Mts and points of interest - that I cannot see from the highway. Off of 500 we go N for a time - but this is when I lost the time and space making me think it was all closer together. We actually made another BIG loop toward the north into Heison and he did another loop there (this one was EAST and to the straight part of road into forested area where the used to be a tower ) and then more turns and all along he points out ever AIRSTRIP, gravel pit and signal tower - things I could not see. We pass near Battleground and Battleground Lake and end up NOT at Lake Merwin but close. We come back down to a park and then we go West and then back and then down toward Battleground again. He points out the Farger airstrip and talked about flying in and out of there and then he makes another side trip and then to the West of Battleground and we pass the VOR which I missed because he mentioned after the fact. On that road he talked about another airstrip that was North of the VOR and we are headed toward Homa, but he then goes back toward Orchards and the Evergreen airstrip and then we get on 500 going East and he points out what used to be a small airstrip and a jump area and someone leaving a car on the highway there. He used WE all of this time - We used to do this or that...The Boys. He told pointed out clubs and place to eat and it goes on and on and on. and it does not stop until we are past the Lewis River on the express way going to Seattle. Then there are all of the place he took me in Seattle and norht of Seattle and another strange disappearnce for 5 hours the day before we leave. He had taken me to the airport and the odd things he stated at that time. He takes me NORTH of Seattle and points out things. I remember at this moment he talked about Snokmosis going back toward Seattle, but that we didn't have time to go there. He did point it out to me. Then we have our trip leaving Seattle which I have detailed many times and from there to the OR side at St.Helens and go south to small town and tells me many thing about the area and he ever went a little more S from that point and the we turned around and went BACK N to St Helens and back to the BIG long iron bridge where he thru something out to the car and back to Wa and on the interstate South. No need in me continueing - because no matter how many time I tell the story and detail the place - some one will say I am a liar or fantasy story teller. I tried to retrace the trip in 2010 and that is when I learned my memory had not accounted for time and space and his speed. On my trip in 2010 I did NOT go to Seattle - My concentration was on the things he had said about Washougal, The Dalles, Goldendale (I spent 2 days there), I have my hotel reciepts for that trip and probably the car rental. I had unlimited miles on the Toyota Highlander I rented. Duane and I DID NOT fly to WA - we DROVE from Ft. Collins CO and then back. Part in Hair: A specific part in the hair is not necessary to call it a part. Duane's hair had a tendance to go to the right....and this is noted when there was humidity and his hair was minus lots of product. It was not just he hair - I thought the whole pic hideous - it was one of those typical photos one used to do in the 60's/70's in the mall booth. I do NOT try to corner every angle and I all I have is what he told me. I explore the other possiblities and also state my own opinions. Sorry it seems you guys want me to be specific. When I am specific and adamant - no one is happy and if I work with the information again I am wrong to do that. I only know what I saw and what he said. Shutter stated: Such as "That's were Cooper walked out of the woods" and I asked "How would you know that" and he replies "Maybe I was the one on the ground". The only time in our marriage Cooper was mentioned other than a few days before he died and I did NOT know who DAN Cooper was and I had long forgotten the statement he made in 1979 and the trip to WA had long been drown out by making a living and going on with life and dealing with his illness - Renal Failure and the machine - that was 5 HARD yrs for both of us. As for other suspect I work with those and I also found connections between one suspect and Weber, but NOT proof of it just my word and obviously that means nothing to anyone but me. As for my trip to WA. in 2010 I have the bills and other things from that trip. I never thought anyone NEEDED proof I was in WA in Oct. of 2010. Perhaps you are referring instead to the trip in 1979. Well, I have no proof of the Seattle meeting in WA of Family Life Insurance - those are things one does not keep. I did find a receipt for the money they gave us for the night on the town and that is with the taxes. The trip was paid for by the company and there were other agents and their wives at that meeting. Well, LD was in contention if a witness actually said what was claimed. Supposedly Tina said it was the closest she had seen, but we do NOT know who showed her a picture of LD or if what was claimed was true. If LD was even close (not in height or age) then everyone needs to see the picture of Weber never used. It was the 1st picture I ever made of Duane. OUR first Christmas together in 1977. I never considered making the picture public until Ms Marla made her claim regarding the LD picture publicized in the media. Changing the AVATAR if I can remember HOW to do it! Lots of things I cannot remember how to do. Yes, I didn't use it because it made his ears look large, but not all the pictures of Weber appear to do this. Something about the angle and hair....and if the ears are the only problem remember that it did NOT take much to tac a ear... temporarily. It is called GLUE! Now they use this same glue after minor surgery. I have 3 surgical incisions that were sealed with Surgical glue. This same Glue was first used in dental work and has been used for many many yrs. It was safe and temporary and not toxic. We had a power failure in our area for about 2 hrs. I could not remember how to disconnect the alarm and it was on Battery Power and beeping its heart out every 5 to 10 minutes. Well, I finally shut the little rascal up. Then when the power came back on - all I had with the correct time was my watch and it was not even correct. Now I have to figure out how to set the time on the alarm system and purchase a new BACK-up battery. That door bell that has been waking me up every morning was my SMART ass alarm telling me she needed a new back-up battery. There is a picture of Duane with his hair parted - it was taken in one of the machines they used to have in malls yrs ago. I will try to find it - I thought it so hideous it was never put it in album. Appeared he was trying to look like a mobster. He had slicked his hair STRAIGHT and parted it and he had on a DARK shirt and a light colored tie...and there was one of him with an X in a nightclub in Atlanta - but, I think I ditched that one BEFORE he died....pretty sure I did. SHE was a cute little thing, but dynamite comes in small packages. Gray saw a couple of pics when he was here - and wanted to know why I never used them. Well you know now! As usual no one explaines to the witnesses that Weber has no sideburns in the pictures of him and his hair is closely cropped. I do NOT know what pics have been shown to the witnesses - but they need to be done with an explanation of the age and dates of pics and for the physical things to be noted. Did they use before and after pics along with the Jefferson intake? Well, if they didn't they missed the ball completely. Never heard Cooper held his cigarette in any strange way. Duane was left handed, but I do not even remember what hand he used to smoke with and there are NO pictures of him with a smoke in his hand. Seems like he used which ever hand was the closest to an ash tray.,,,but we never smoked much in the house and seldom even then in the car. Perhaps if I looked as some old pics I might be able to see the placement of the ash tray on his desk! If it should ever be important. Well, for someone who has claimed a connection to Cook - you certainly do NOT retain you info. When Tosaw died he had made arrangements for Galen Cook to have part of his Cooper files. Do NOT know if it included everything. Cook actually bragged about this in an email. Since then Cook has had little to say publically that I know of. The amount of the money on hand with the bank was 238K not 250. I do not understand the ODD amt of 238, but I got that from Richard Tosaw. Maybe he was wrong, but that is what he put in his book! Back to man connected to Duane's family. Flights to and from Alaska - Duane told me this, but I didn't get it. Something about some experiments. Do not know the time frame - but, the connection is there. This can be filled in by the other party better. I got the impression it was a small plane, but this man was connected to Boeing in the beginning and he was even working in some kind of capacity at the time of the crime in some technical field. He didn't know the kid brother of his old friend and never made the connection. But because of this man's connections and his own brother - Duane knew what that plane could do and not do. He needed a little clarification. Duane's brother had ordered him out of his mothers home in 1958 after he got out of SanQuentin. I think Duane sat in a prison in Jefferson planning this. I think he planned it and prepared for it for a few months before actually doing it. Why he was swimming all the time - and disappearing into N.C. and AL and asked his wife to by him some Dickies (the one piece jumps suit style with buttons or a zipper up the front). I believe Duane started to plan this right after his diagnosis in 1970 or early 1971. The damn guy who always got caught and whose family had disowned him! A man who had spent most of his adult life in & out of prisons or on the run. This is a man NO one would have missed. Never stayed in one place very long. Couldn't get a decent job. Had been diagnosed with PKD and told he had 5 yrs to live. Get rich or die and get revenge all at one time. The man I am speaking of knew Duane's brother very well...then there was another connection via Duane's mother - a long ago connection and she had died in 1958 after Duane was released from prison. His father had died in 1956 while he was in prison. He had a daughter whose mother took her away and who said she never wanted to see him again. Those trips along the coast line to Bellingham and in BC - I have no idea what they involved other than some kind of testing or delivery of goods. How or why Duane would have been involved other than just this kid who was always in trouble. But this relationship was before he went to McNeil and perhaps after he left McNeil until he got into trouble again. Yrs later the other man would not even know Weber...and perhaps had forgot about this kid he had known. Friends of the family who tried to help after Duane got in trouble. It has been right in front of me for several yrs and I just did NOT see it. Now we have connections - can we prove them after all of these yrs. Well, the other parties connections to Boeing are solid and also the thing he spent his life doing.... When the files were being dispursed I should have got on a plane and gone out there, but I was having surgery after surgery...and a the survivor didn't seem too interested. I might have to sell some things and takes some strong drugs to fly to WA and probably get arrested, buT as soon as I can get the next 3 week out of my why - I am on my way to WA with very little money. I will sit infront of ther office and tell any one who walked by who I am and why I am there. After the FBI hosted Marla surely they can take a couple of say to hear and old woman out and perhaps relatives of this man will also help. I found the connection! I have actually prayed since I saw that Jefferson pic of Weber and the connection has been with me all along. I do not know how to get a certain pic on the thread with a bunch of other pics. A pic sent to me a long time ago with a woman in it (I cannot post the pics without permission from the other person). A woman I did not recognize - that woman was Duane's mother as a younger woman (I did not realize this until a few moments ago). A member of another woman's family had a picture of a friend she could not identify and did not know who she was and yet there was a story connecting a member of her family to the Cooper story. We did NOT see what was infront of us all of these yrs. I had never really looked at the pictures of Duane's mother and the woman in her picture that she did not know who it was. Well, that woman and Duane's mother are one and the same - with a few yrs added into it. This ties Duane Weber into another story told about another member of a family who had a Cooper connection the FBI has long long ignored. Now we have the connections. We had exchanged emails long ago - but neither of us saw this. Now it is there - why I was allowed to see this at this time - only GOD knows. I was cleaning up somethings tonight. I did NOT look at pictures of Duane's mother and I did not have younger pics of Duane's mother. I do NOT know why I pulled that pic and put it side by side with the pic of this other woman tonight. I am waiting for comfirmation from the other party. The FBI has TO HEAR US! THEY have to LISTEN! They have to OPEN their eyes and OPEN their minds. I will make one more request to the authorities and see what happens, but all I expect is what you guys have seen. I had previously spoke with RECORDS in Missouri and still have the communications. At that time I could NOT get the picture you came up with on intake much less any details about the crime that was committed. The attorneys in the case no longer existed and their file not available. I received some papers the woman provided me - she was really nice and went over board to assist me at the risk of her job. SHE could NOT get any pictures nor what YOU provide in a way of the list of individuals release about the same time. The first time I tried Jefferson was still operational under the old standards and I have the email address of the person there I communicated with. After we were promised the records - my guy was turned away and went home empty handed. They have since closed the prison. NO one has provided anything from 1962 when he was released from Canon until his arrest in 1966 and sent to Jefferson as John Collins. He was running with a woman who also used many names. Remember this - I can NOT prove I was the widow of John C. Collins. If you have the records from 1962 to 1966 - SHOOT with them. There was also the missing time unaccounted for when he escaped - that is blank in the 50's There are too many holes and weak spots. THE FBI would NOT provide me with his rap sheet - remember it was tried. YOU got more than anyone else was ever able to get. Don't forget the time he was gone from the Farm...and that is unaccounted for and not confirmed. I have recounted the things - from when he was shipped back to CA with letters exchanged by his mother and the authorities - but, you guys used what you found ...I have the letters exchanged with the authorities. I don't have everything - just what the brother sent me in regards to this. Then we have the time he was supposedly in McNeil and following that. Remember the FBI said he WAS not in McNeil. He was also on some kind of farm program in CA. before being sent to McNeil...between 1943 and late 1944. He goes POOF too many times. You posted the records you found, but there was holes in them that did NOT work with the PAPERS I had....and the papers exchanged by the mother with the authorities. Did any of you for one moment think about - what IT was like during his time to be in prison? He spent most of his adult life in prison from the time he was 19 yrs old until he got out of Jefferson. There IS those yrs between 1962 and 1966 - NO one has found anything. Even the records Mrshutter produced did NOT fill in thos yrs. It is like he when POOF off the face of the earth. I have explained that about group a very wealth man put together... a group of renegades never convicted of violent crimes, but guys who needed to a second chance. He gave them that second chance and new names - but the things they did for him they could NEVER tell. Some of them did NOT survive their assignment (snitches had a way of coming up missing if they were found out). These guys were given the chance of a llife time - they infiltrated Mafia and Powerful Unions. If you think a powerful man like this did not exist - then guess again. How the Hell did the CIA work? And the Mafia. Ever think there might be a person in the US powerful enough to form his own underground of snitches to protect the government from itself. How many of you are aware that President Kennedy was WARN there would be an attempt on his life. Was the message ever given to him? I expect Cooper may have checked for marked bills. Not all markings are visible to the naked eye. $20 were NOT checked until they made it to the bank. Then they probably had changed hands several times. It would really have been difficult to trace those 20's unless Cooper bought a large ticket item with $20's which I expect he did NOT do. I am willing to believe he went to VEGAS and passed enough of them very quickly to accumulate some safe money. Might be why Duane said "I cannot go back to Vegas". Knowing his record that could have meant many things! Wonder if FBI was ever notified about a man gambling with 20's or someone making a large purchase with 20's. Again - I got my second laugh and I still have a smile on my face. The money was prepared ahead of time for such an event! WHY? THINK! That way the stacks had markers so they could trace the money. Seqences of 20's pre-recorded....but, putting in a few Counterfeits would have been a definite advantage! Much easier to spot than working the Serial Numbers. Just a theory! SURELY NOT! But this could explain the money being set aside for skyjackings and kidnappings.

We did explore his rap sheet and the rap sheet as you know did NOT explain his detailed knowledge of the WA and OR area! Ask yourself WHY before you diss the things I tell? When he was free he roamed - as no one hired ex-cons in the day and there were no programs to help them with jobs. They were basically homeless. The story about WA is REAL and NOT one word of it is composed or falsified in any way. It is incomprehensive he would or could have invented a past with details like he recounted in WA in 1979...he did live and work in WA - but when and under what names I know not. If you wish to disprove it - then go for it. We have explored the rap sheet in this thread, but NONE of it accounts for Duane's knowledge of the area - SO how did he acquire and when did he acquire this intense knowledge of the area? Was it while he was encarcerated? I think part of it was as a participant in some kind of program to use man power or to rehab these young men...but, when and where? You explain it - I can't! Why they were there I do not know. This would have been 1962 to 1972. The wife of the day denied having been there, but was there not a military facility in the area? She had 2 sons stationed in WA. Duane talked about Lyndon and especially NOOKSACK - how the hell could I forget a name like Nooksack? I remembered this because he spoke about the road into BC not being monitored in the day and a way individuals could slip over the boundary. He then mentioned Vacouver & Richmond. He spoke of flights (seemingly small planes) from the WA area and going from Belmont area to Vancouver BC. I have NO IDEA what era of time he was speaking of. Times it seemed he was YOUNG as he spoke about The Guys and other times he was referencing a more recent date - because he mention the wife of the 60's. We had gone up the interstate above Seattle, but do NOT remember how far we drove. He drove so fast - and all I remember is the things he said and I was not looking at a map. I should retrace that part of the trip - I might find that time and space as with The Dalles day my memory banks did NOT account for He spoke about a road that went across the mountains that ended up in Spokane. He mention a camp that was there and that they built a "trailer park" and he spoke about a camp.He mention a name like Bauer or a sound alike. He spoke about Snonomish just outside of Seattle - but I do not remember what he said. He told me about a Camp in the Cascades and the only thing I ever found in that area was a Smokejumper base, but one would assume forestry also had camps. He was specific about the location of Indian reservations and Government camps. He was pointing those out all over the place even before we got to Washougal - he had told me about Indian area and camps in the OR area. Then he continues on the day we drove North of Seattle to talk about these things. Whatever or whenever Duane obtained his knowledge of WA and OR and ID it certainly involved knowledge of airstrips, camps, grave yards, gravel pits, signal towers and Indian reservations. When he mentioned the Columbia river - I questioned him and probably one of the few questions I did ask. I didn't know there was a Columbia River in the West and only associated it with other areas. Sorry if I am boring you guys, but I may never be able to tell the story in its entirety and hopefully some one some day will pick up on the small sequences I have written about since 2006 in this thread. Hopefully some one will find the answers to HOW Weber knew the area and where he was and what he did and under what name. Dusty was tattooed on his arm. There was family in the WA area by the name of Wenz or Wetnz as his grandmother's family on his mothers side had connections to WA. This would be the FAMILY or friends of the FAMILY who would help the family out when Duane was sent to McNeil and why the records are estranged. Oh Well! I am just talking to myself and NO one CARES, but me. NO one wants the truth, but me. Who the hell was John "Dusty" Collins, Duane L. Weber. Dusty Weber, Dusty Wenz? NO one cares. I have told the above before, but it has been lost in the shuffle along the yrs in this long long saga, but just encase - I wanted to tell it one MORE TIME. Remember I do NOT go back and search - this is told from memory and my heart. I need the answers from someone / anyone about Duane's background in WA. Attached is a picture of a Tena Bar bundle from the Oregonian on Feb 13 1980. I'm 90 percent sure there is part of a rubberband on the top of the bundle. If it is part of a rubberband than the serial number on the top bill is either the beginning of a sequence or end of sequence for one bundle. The top bill serial number should be on the Microfilm that was found showing stops and starts of bundles. The Microfilm Tom Kaye spoke of. Speculation: IF Cooper survived - he would have hid the money in different places. If he noticed the serial numbers in sequences - I think he would have gone thru them looking for marked bills. When the money was thrown into the River by Cooper several yrs later - it had to have been stored someplace - probably in several different places. I think the FBI would have left the money in sequence - hoping Cooper would pay for an expensive item with the cash - lots of 20's within a sequence coming out of one area - would have been a RED flag for the FBI. The last thing on Cooper's mind when the money was recieved was the sequence of the bills - he may have looked to see if they appeared to be counterfeit, but HOW would he know? Most individuals are unable to detect a real 20 from a counterfeit with a glance. Cooper would have stashed the bills in several places - perhaps safety deposit boxes thru out the US and he would have scrambled the bills if a sequence of serial numbers was noted. It is possible that one such box or other storage place was in WA or OR...and that explains why Weber disappeared for 5 and 1/2 hours in The Dalles and then again in Seattle. I believe there was only one stash in WA or OR and the other time span in Seattle was to sort thru the bounty hidden within driving time of The Dalles. Duane disappeared for an afternoon in Seattle. He was giddy upon returning and had NOT been drinking. I made him a drink while he changed and freshened up for the banquet. I wanted some pictures before we went downstairs (there are 2 made of me and 2 made of him). This was when when he did the arms spread eagle thing and shouted Geronimo. He was giddy and that was his first drink. He let me know he wanted to leave early the next morning because he had some stops he wanted to make. You guys know the rest of that story. The money was set aside - already counted and recorded - waiting for the day it would be needed. I do NOT know who was responsible for these monies being set aside, but one would think the Airlines. Wonder how many people KNEW about the stash in WA and also other places? They counted out of the stacks 200K and the remaining amount left was LESS than 40k,. Seems lie the amount placed in the bank for such circumstances was 238K - Why and odd amount I don't know? But it WAS not 240 on hand (almost)! Thank You Tom, that was my understanding 16 YRS ago when I first enquired of Mr. H about this. His advanced age and health means he now has to sit out. Thank you for stating what I could have stated, but it would then have been debated till the end of time. The money was explained in Richard Tosaw's book who was an attorney and spent several yrs compiling his information. Even though I did NOT agree with Tosaw's opinions & theories - his fact in the case were 90% dead on. His personal interviews with the fight crew are the most accurate on record. The crew was tired and some of the questions asked of them by the FBI could have waited, but there was a urgency to get the story out. Tosaw took many yrs with his interviews and inquires and he did these interviews - the way they should have been conducted in the very beginning. Tosaw had sharp severe opinions, but he was in the beginning not demanding. As the yrs drug out his personality regarding the case became opinionated...as has others who have spent multiple yrs and monies on this case. You do know that Richard Tosaw and Duane's brother and wife, personally knew Tosaw and his sister? This was the first thing the brother told me in 2004 when I got the opportunity to meet him personally. Due to unfortunate circumstances regarding the sister having a heart attack while we were dining - our conversation was never finished. Among the records left to a member of the family was a note that stated Duane had jump training. This was to be the subject of our conversation that never happened. I did briefly meet the sister that night & she was relieved when she realized I was not the woman she met in 1971. My visit to CA caused the sisters heart attack as she had disclosed thing to the brother he was going to discuss with me, but in the end these things re-mained a family secret. I wanted the truth, but not at the expense of causing stress to the point it would destroy the lives of the one person Duane intrusted with his secrets...his sister who was 6 yrs older than he was. One can verify that the brother and Tosaw both lived in the same area and belonged to the same boat club and went to the same church and bible study classes. Both the brother and his wife spoke fondly of the Tosaws. Later both the sister and the brother would relocate...to the Moreno Valley area. All of them are deceased now and whatever was to be shared with me is forever buried. I made the decision at that point NOT to burden these elderly individuals. I felt responsible for the sister's heart attack and stepped back. I never knew if the FBI interviewed these family members after one of them decided to help me, but the sister was a woman of great pride and well thought of in her community. She lived by the standards of her yrs and family secrets stayed secret...and my enquires stopped. It was the right thing to do. The smile on her face that night in the hospital and what she said I will never ever forget. "You aren't Jo" - the woman Duane had taken to her home in 1971 she thought was me and in 2004 she found out I was NOT that woman. I hope she lived the rest of her life in peace after that. We exchanged one letter after that - and I have abided by what she asked of me until I myself and am looking at the end of my time on this earth. The truth can harm NO one now - and I would like to know who I spent 17 yrs of my life with and why I have had to spend the last 18 yrs seeking what should have been told yrs ago. Too many lives had been destroyed by SECRETS kept way too long. Some of the these unnecessary - Secrets are really not secret anymore. Making history make sense and doing away with the speculations of the public regarding Governments action 50 yrs ago...is not a breach of security. NOT one damn thing revealed from 40/50 yrs would harm National Security today, only put speculations to rest. Then we deal with it and make sure the same mistakes are NOT made again and again. You always hold things back Jo, its incurable in your case. It's not "wrong", in a moral sense, but it is extremely counterproductive if you want the case solved. Selective disclosure is always suspect. It smacks of cherry picking evidence. You are ALWAYS holding something back. It really hurts your credibility Jo. End of useless sermon. 377 If the FBI wanted the DNA from the watch - I would have gladly taken it in to be swabbed, but NOT confiscated and not tested like they did the rest of the DNA - it sat in a box in the FBI office for 4 and 1/2 yrs before they even did the DNA. I was right in holding that watch - I would never have seen it again! Remember this. They came to see me in 1997, but did NOT ask for DNA until 2003...after I had remarried and moved when they expected me to have ZERO... Basically what I gave them was useless in my opinion which is evident since they did NOT test it until 2007. I have the paperwork the agent ACCIDENTLY left in the box when they returned it. See what I mean - right there is a negligence/oversite I have PROOF of. It has been 17 1/2 yrs since I contacted the FBI - they produced ZERO - not even a file they SUPPOSEDLY have reviewed...the Missouri Records and Intake photo. Alice Hancock told the FBI that when she last saw Cooper he had put on a sweater under his jacket. She said the sweater was russet. Well, could it be the vest in the attached photo? The picture was made in N.C.? Duane was overweight at that time, but it was during their stay in N.C. that Duane was doing laps every morning and every night... Note this is the 1st time I have ever made this photo available to the public - because I did NOT think it looked like the Duane I knew! Maybe it was wrong to with hold it - but, I did. His mid line looked so large in the pic and I have to conside the angle of the photo being taken by someone much shorter than Duane and his wife (the photo also made the wife look heavy - which she was not). Yes, I with-held 2 watches. One was a gift from me and the other was the one he wore when I met him (a very very expensive watch). I am not going to pull it , but I have described it in the past. Consider its value even in 2003 when they collected the DNA ....would you not have held back an expensive item. Remember it was approximately 5 yrs later when they RETURNED the items I made available. They were aware of the watch, but did NOT offer to swab it or request later for a swab to be made.
