More towers and beacons Near Camp Bonneville Do not know if the following had lights in 1971 Little Baldy Mtn Camp Hill (think so) Munsell Hill Little elkhon Mtn Spud Mtn Livingston Mtn Of the above Duane made direct mention by name of 3 of the places near or on Camp Bonneville. He also mentioned the Creek that runs thru the Camp area along a portions of it and crosses down to the area he took me. This creek forks before reaching the Hill he took me to. That creek is Matney Creek and when it forks it become Little Matney Creek (I had no idea what the name was in 1979). He also mention a quarry in that area in the same breath as Little Baldy Mtn. Yes, Jerry I did acquire a map that shows me the correlations between what he told me and showed me - none of this is fiction nor fantasy. Strange that I told you these things - and yet you denied they existed and you even told me there WAS no way Cooper was in this area. Now - your focus of search has taken it even further East. One can believe this or not, but it is the truth so help me GOD...at this point in my life I have NO reason to lie or create any kind of confusion. Others might have "reasons" to create things - I am not writing a book - I just am looking for answer where-ever I might find them. So far NO one - not the FBI nor others - have been able to explain to me Duane Weber's interest and phenomenal knowledge of the area. (You have to have worked and lived there to know the area the way he did and with such detail). NOT one person has offered any explanation for this - NOT one. I have in the past told about the other areas he mentioned on that trip, but did not go to. Spokane and a small area to the East of there called Coeur d'Alene in Idaho. He told me about a hunting lodge somewhere in that area near or on an Indian Reservation. He mentioned some areas on our little trip to the "airport" explaining and naming some small towns that would be along the road to Vancouver, Alaska. (We did not go far out of Seattle on this "short cut" before turning back). The one I remember his naming specifically is a hole in the ground called Nooksack. Perhaps that was because of the unusual name. He rattled off names I cannot even pronounce when I see it written - Indian names. When I am presented with a factual and reasonable and prove-able reasons Duane knew the area the way he did and when he was there - then and only then will I back down - until then I will continue with my efforts until I can NO longer continue - that time is coming all to soon. I am doing everything I can at this time for closure - things I have sworn I would never ever do. That is the part I regret, but I must do these things - not for Duane or proving he was Cooper - BUT, for me. Emotional Exercise for posters: Pretend you are a child 6 yrs of age - and you see your father kill a man, but at the time you didn't understand the man was dead. 30 yrs later you learn a body was found at that location and the killer was never known. You had moved from the area a couple of months after the incident. Yrs later you relocate back to the area and an old cold case is discussed in the newpaper - and you remember when you were there with your father. What would you do? You had learned as you grew up your father was a cold and caculating man and he had been arrested several times. I tried to do one myself using Jerry's and Sluggo's marking and then the sitings that were reported in the media. I made my own marks on the posted map, but unfortunately when I tried to upload the same map I downloaded - it was too large, I do not understand these things - it is just hit or miss when it comes to posting maps and pictures with my limited knowledge of these things. I would like to use that same map to indicated the locations of all towers - marked on this old map I have. I could use numbers and then attach a directive for the numbers giving the name of the tower and location. I only have a map with these towers on it for a portion of the area - so I would not have any marks above the Battleground area. Haven't figured out how to do this - was hoping for assistance from a regular map posting expert. At least what I think about the area Cooper came down in would be documented - just encase.......... With one map in front of me I will try to list some towers and lights - note this is only for the area from the Columbia W to Goodwin Road and Dresser Rd and North of the Washougal to Cougar Creek. Then East to Gibbons Road and ends with NE 192 nd Avenue. Brunner Hill Prune Hill Woodburn Hill Mt Norway (2) Nichols Hill Green Mt - just off this map (When I speak of Green Mt. I am talking about a small Mt. near Lake LaCames and NOT the Green Mt up near Lake Merwin. There was also a tower that is not on this old map that was close into the town of Washougal and near the Columbia that was no longer there - it was a sgnal light for a small airstrip - but, I haven't found it on this map. There were 3 small airstrips / landing areas in this condensed area. I have other maps but they do not date back to the 70's as this on does and encompass much larger areas. Remember that also scattered out among the above are radio towers, fire towers and look-outs, microwave tower - etc., that I do not see on this map. Emory cloths where used yrs ago by criminals to smooth off their prints making them more difficult for law enforcement to lift them or read them....I never really knew how this might help a criminal. Duane was the one who told me about how criminals used emory cloth. A cloth that somehow incorporates fine gritty grains of something (asbestos, glass, sand or whatever). Best post in a long time and a worthy question - I had thought about it and assumed he wiped it down. Cooper was ALL over that area - WHY, did't they get prints? If they still have some of the items - would not new technology provide some additional print information. (Theory )They forgot to mention Cooper had gloves in his paper bag - huh! Makes Sense. ANKLE rubbers make sense too - the kind that strap at the Ankle - that went over your shoes. The FBI went to a lot of trouble to keep the paper sack out of the media - if Tina was watching him - how come she didn't see what was in that paper bag. I think it might have been cigarettes - emory cloth - matches - lighter fluid - candy. Babe Ruths, Clark Bars or maybe just a tie. Something he thought of on the last minute - perhaps some hardware he might need. There was a shoe polish station in the terminal and I was NEVER able to find out if the shoe man went to N.O. later in his life. Seems like Cooper is just a Big Joke to some of you, not realizing that the truths maybe right in front of you. Very tired of fighting this battle. I have dealt with too much garbage from posters who have nothing better to do than ridicule any logical information that is put out. This forum NO longer belongs in History and Trivia. When it is put in the Bonfire - then the serious posters such as Sluggo and 377 and others will have no place to air creditable information. I really hate to see that day come - but it is on the horizon, due to current nonsense being posted.

In the past I have explained where several of the peaks and lights where located. You can take a pen and draw a straight line thur the towers from the Orchard area to the Washougal area. I have an old 1970's map that shows the towers and signal lights. Some do NOT exist today, but it was not necessary for me to know when these towers and signal lights where removed. There were several other tower lights on other peaks - but the most obvious to me from the route he took me on in 1979 were the ones in a straight line toward Lake LaCames...near each tower was possible cover or protection from the elements near by...such as a forestry feeding station that would have been unoccupied and unoccupied cabins...within several hundred feet by trails or dirt roads. Why do you think that is even a possibility Jo? Nothing fits. Despite your claims you have presented ZERO evidence that shows Duane was a trained parachutist. ZERO. NADA. NOTHING. I am sorting thru profiles of skyjackers from a book I am reading written by a psychiatrist who was commissioned to study skyjackers...prior to Norjax. As for PROOF Weber had jumping experience - I cannot discuss this in the forum, but I am trying to make contributions that might lead to the actual unveiling of possible suspects. Weber might well be within that scope, but that is not my intentions with this train of thought. Obviously, there had to be suspects over-looked by the FBI. This process is to isolate the possibilities of this actually happening. It is possible this search could lead to the unveiling of these suspects. The problem is how to obtain the names and locations of incarcerations of prior skyjackers. My thinking is that while in the system - this dirty rotten criminal did not participate in the violence within the system. He may have spent more time listening to the stories of others. It was common knowledge after the 1971 incident - that many of the prisoners spent time planning the "Big One". The talkers - are usually just "talkers". The informers within the system managed to hold their own while accumulating information. This was done by fitting in, staying out of the violence, being a listener and having a goal of freedom. How many won commutions of sentences - even after having passed time in multiple other prisons? Weber did have an excellent cover - as he was incarcerated under an AKA, but that is irrevelant to where I am going. I was told by authorities that skyjackers would have been held in High Securtiy prisons - but I do not know what existed in the the 50's and 60's consistent with this train of thought. Perhaps that is true today - but, was it true in the 50's and 60's. What was consider High Security beside Leavenworth? This is just an exercise in the possible ways Cooper slipped thru the cracks. Evidently Cooper live and died - someone knew him - or was he born at the age of approx 45? Since the investigative system has NOT uncovered Cooper and nothing we have explored in this thread has held any more promise than the FBI's investigation - perhaps it is time to take this into a realm only given a cursory glance by the autorities at the time. The ones they did look into were compromised of individuals with "known" jumping experience during times frames prior to Norjax. The system as it exists now was not available - and the investigative authorites had NO real way to trace the jumping experience of all suspects. Even today - some jumping experience is still obscured from the 50's and 60's because of the embarassement it created for the Government in those times. Slowly these stories are coming to surface as that generation dies off. When I speak of Norjak regardless of how I spell it, know what I mean. I was told the file name existed before Himmelsbach wrote his book and prior to the actual Skyjacking. How much of that was truth I don't know. What I am trying to say about the rest of it I cannot say in a public forum. Sometimes I REALLY wonder if Jo knows that forest rangers and Army Rangers are not the same animal. You do know that don't you Jo? I am using my own post to enforce what I have been saying and to get the record STRAIGHT. We can accept the explanation Georger made - but, I do not believe he is an accredited Forensic artist nor is he an artist of any kind trained to analyze these things. His finding (by a psychologist) where published in 1971 BEFORE Norjax.[/BLUE] Some of these hijacker did it - the act for the pure intention of disappearing. Others just wanted to escape their personal failures as they existed and dieing in a hijack attempt was a more acceptable intent in their minds. The most important statement this profile talks about the life of these hijackers prior to the crime. "Their image being gradient and appreciably below the standards for yrs and being drive downward at a preciptious rate to a point of non-existence. Falling faster and faster and was apparent in the downward corurse they had utilized all manner of defenses to stop the downward movement." The act of standing up and threatening with force was their final move to move forward or end their own lives. One of his subjects was AWOL while in the service being severed from the Army at the age of 18. Re-enlisted under the same name, but different number - and then discharged as an undesirable. Does that sound familiar to any of you regarding the past of Duane Weber? This study was done prior to 1971 - so you can rule Weber out of that one...but, same history. I was providing something beside BS without rehashing the same old things over and over. Giving the people in this forum an opportunity to actually DO something THAT might Solve this OLD 38 yr old CRIME the FBI cannot or is unwilling to solve. One report I heard over and over was that it came over West Camas. Another was up in the Search area West / South of the Cougar area but near Merwin (Jerry territory). I am not sure anyone had tried to map the route with the witness reports that came in for several days - telling the FBI they were looking in the wrong place. You Squeal like that Pig and I will do that Pig Calling that won a gambling cruise for 4, when we first moved to Florida in 1988. Duane had absolutely no knowledge of what I could do. I sat there at this function on the Bay listen to all of the men and women doing what they thought was Pig Calling - I have never been one to get up in a crowd and do something like that - finally I could contain myself not for one more second - and offered to go up. I was shaking and had not done this since the 50's and never to an audience other than pigs. I just blacked out the "people" audience and did what I had been taught to do on the farm in the early 50's Of course I won hands down. Georger - Aren't silver nitrates found in fertilizers, paints, plastics and various stuff stored in containers? I know it was mentioned regarding the money and that it was cross contaminations from the printing process, but you seemed to be going in another direction we have not discussed - such as being on the tie? I am going to ask you to RE-examine the prison photo I posted a few moments ago - enlarge it to letter size in a program beside photos. Print it out and really study it - this was done today by a professional as was suggested by a visitor to my home a couple of wks ago. Put all of your bias aside concerning me - and then examine this second actual snapshot - add these features into the distorted area caused by the glasses and lighting and age. (The ears are bent over from the thickness of the stems pushing the ears out and creating the Pointy ears you have mentioned in the past). You had better read my last post before you do that. I seriously do not believe you want to create anymore media attention - the FBI "you claim to receive so much information from and have knowledge of" would NOT be very happy with that. Remember I DON'T talk to them - but, my guys and I have continued the efforts to bring this mystery to an END. Would you really want the Media to be aware of the ridiculous things you rant about and that you claim? Chill out. My guys and I are doing legitimate and documented research without the aid of the FBI...there is NO law against that. Laws do exist concerning inflammatory statements and threats.
