If there was chemistry consistent with an expplosive material found on the TIE and ON the money - this does not make sense. What analysis are you in possession of - that indicates this? If the money showed evidence of nitrates - that may have been from the storage container - such as feed, fertilizer, plaster and cleaning chemicals. As for the tie - if true would indicate contamination prior to the jump and not upon this supposed ignition if the flares. As for the route of the plane - try connecting eye witness accounts such as the far East end of Lake Merwin and Heison and Camas. I received many of these thru the yrs. That is the ones I remember off hand...who contacted me. There has been a very definite turn of events recently. The old Canon City intake photo has been analyzed - the lighting and the glasses he had on. Remember Georger how you made such a to do about the pointed turned out ears. Take that prison photo and BLOW IT UP to letter size. Note the size of the stems on the glasses - very thick and probably taped together. The ears are pushed down creating the points and causing them to stick out. This has been analyzed by a forensic artist. The lighting on his features is very bright causing exaggeration where there are NOT such prominent features. The lines in the face do not show (partly due to the lighting and partly because this was taken 11 yrs before the crime). Using several older pictures of Duane to put the expressions in and the ears and taking off the glasses you have composite of Cooper. This is in the process of being done and should be available in about 3 wks. Because there was a second pair of eyes to see what has never been revealed to the public - and these observation where made - a lot of money is being spent on this venture. Also if you enlarge that picture to letter size you will see something Florence Shaffner try to explain regarding a widows peak. Pictures made within a couple of yrs of the skyjacking show what appears to be a scar - he had tweezed those hairs out repeatedly...they did not exist when I met him. Because the FBI has NEVER made his Jefferson prison pictures available to is why this is being done.

reply]The compass rose you placed on the map is wrong. In 1971 the magnetic headings (the ones pilots use) were as illustrated in the compass rose around the BTG VOR. Note that North (0-degrees) is in the 1-o'clock position (roughly). I didn't take time to see if your compass rose was used in any way in your plot. I have am not a pilot and know Nothing about flying. I have talked to pilots and they told me if there was supposedly a bomb on the plane, they would: 1. Take a route that avoided heavily populated areas 2. Considering the times - have stayed close to communication capabilites. 3. Stayed away from deep dense woods and mountains. 4. Have considered the possibilities of having to land a damaged plane and stayed as close as possible to any alternative landing areas. 5. Dense forests and mountains spell - no survival and the crew is always thinking survival and rescue, citing the landing of planes in rivers. Therefore - would try to skirt Porland and Vancouver, but would not have taken a route that would NOT put them in dense forest or near mountains. Therefore I have with my own idea of the terrain drawn in a possible route between Vancouver and Camas. I skirted Vancouver, Portland and Camas. Basically it was about the possibility of survival The map would not down load and it was the same size as got it off the thread. I will tell you this if I haven't told it before. On our return trip from Seattle when we went East on the Oregon side - he pointed out an industrial area along the river and an island in the Columbia and a small airstrip. Duane knew where all the airstrip where located. WHY? HOW? Even Jerry has talked about that airstrip - there is an inlet at that point and guess what crosses the river right there - the piple lines and power lines that Duane walked - they go to the Marina and across the river is the airstrip and the railroad tracks. This was told by me yrs and yrs ago with no map. Just my recalling the trip...verbally. I didn't know the names of them, but I do now and yes, I have seen them on a map - but in the begining yrs there WERE NO detail maps available to me. At that point is when Jerry started talking about Troutdale airstrip and insisted the plane flew right over it. Of course he will deny this. The map shows an airport, but what I saw was only an airstrip so I have a question. Was there any building on that airstrip in 1979 when I was there? I do not remember seeing any from the road...the map shows the Troutdale being on the river side of the road, but it seems like what he showed me was - on the opposite side of the road. Excuse Me! I had not gone public and did not go public until the FBI lied to me about documents I had already acquired. They had no problems with a threat until spring of 2000. I was working with them and co-operating with them until the agent LIED to me. Until that conversation in March of 2000 I had done what was expected of me and it was only after they LIED that I started to do this with a passion. I had allowed the FBI to do what it was doing - and I had NO means or knowledge or tools with which to pursue my own investigation. The FBI had the opportunity to explain the action of that agent and why I was told what I was told but, the problem was - He goofed! Big Time. There is NO reason for deception or lies if the truth is told. With the information we have - they did lie to me and I want to know WHY? If there is something in Duane's criminal files that proves Duane was NOT Cooper then they could have saved LOTS of money by showing these to me or providing me with the copies - all of them. Why expended monies to do DNA in 2008 and if the information they had in 1998 was conclusive Duane was not Cooper, they would never have continued to investigate. If there was a REASON for the FBI agent to lie to me in 2000 - Why did they not come to my home and explain to me the purpose of these willful lies and show me what they have that would prove Duane was not Cooper. The FBI would not have done the other tests and the DNA if they were not looking for something. They found something that they could not discuss and will not discuss regarding his past. Yes, the FBI bungled this investigation until 2000 when I caught the agent in 2 lies that proved the FBI lied to me from 1997 until that day in 2000. WHY would they lie in the 1st place? Everytime I present something that YOU KNOW is going in the right directions - You take a stand to discredit and to immediately try to disfuse the direction and the people who read this. The post you are referring to - has caught your attention and you know parts of the Cooper case have NEVER been made public. You know I have found some very important keys and I am unlocking those boxes as we speak. Do you really think NO ONE has paid any attention to the references you have made over the past when you speak of WE in discussing certain things. It is obvious you have been privy to various part of the Cooper investigation over the yrs, but NO one can quiet figure out your position. I am driven, but I am NOT emotionally ill. Do I get emotional more so than others when it comes to some of the "stuff" I have had to deal with? The answer to that is "Yes".

This is your first REAL assignment - I was told all this forum does is BS and no one here has ever done any real investigating. There are a lot of Bradens here and Vaughs and Gossetts and the best line up you will ever find of Cooper suspects. We need names to go with these guys and a better picture. Pick-out the ones who look to be over 30 - pass up the boyish ones. Not in this pic, but in some others I found - what is this crazy expression they have on their face - like they are yelling. Attached one of Duane in Seattle in 1979 the last day there. He had disappeared all afternoon and I figured he had been some place with the guys drinking. They told me he left the meeting at noon and they had not seen him since. He was late and I laid his clothes out for him. After disappearing all afternoon, I thought maybe he had been drinking, but he blew in my face and told me to fix him one - this was his first drink before dinner that evening. The expression on his face is like the ones the rangers make in most of their pictures upon graduation. Someone must know what this means - I don't. I had labeled this pic Giddy, because I accused him of drinking. We left the next morning to go home - the day he DID take me to the Columbia -(3 different locations) and the day he tossed that paper sack into the Columbia just West of the bridge behind the Red Lion Inn at I-5 on the Vancouver side...only a short distance by water from Tena's bar. One time I had figured out how far by water - not very far at all. Someone told me that bridge was a new on now - does anyone know if that is true? In 1979 - it seems like it was an old bridge. Yea! The one that got my attention even though I can only get clips at 30 seconds with dial-up. This one 130 People, 175 Mile per hr, 15,000 High. really got my attention. . I wasn't sure that one was a 727, but the other one with the 727 combined with the above - fantastic! Wonder if the FBI has ever seen these or if "others" who go around saying Cooper Splashed or Spattered even investigated the possiblities? The myth that Cooper could NOT have survived has been perpetrated by the FBI and others. WHY? I know the answers now - it is just a matter of getting the attention of someone who is willing to stand-up against the system...and make the truth known. NO, I still can't prove Weber was Cooper, but the continuing co-incidences and the information that was denied by the FBI along with this other thing we sit on until we can get (verification)..... is getting overwhelming. Put all the above with the other little things we have discovered about Weber's background and the circumstances involving the aftermath of the incident...it is getting harder and harder to deny. Nothing has said that Cooper was Weber, but a lot of things are adding up to that conclusion. After the "guy" was here last wk - I have looked at the things that got his attention - I have never shared, because some things are private. One of the things was "other" photos I hesitate to share of Weber because he was older and they included myself and family members - but maybe someday. When I was contacted by the woman who told me she was Tina - she had only seen the photo in the media That picture was provided by the brother. We didn't know the age, plus the photo had been distorted in the scan done by the brother - who was in his late 80's early 90's at that time. There are others who now believe that I actually did talk to Tina and I am the only person she has contacted regarding a suspect. This is when she told me "He was a sad man" which for some reason was not part of the FIOA at that time nor was it public knowledge. As I have said before I sent a letter requesting permission to send other photos, but she never replied to this and I have been unwilling to force any other pictures upon her. Admittedly - I think about it ALL of the time. I think about showing up on her door with what I have in person. I think about it, but I stop because I do understand how this thing has altered her life. She nor I can ever get back the yrs this thing has stolen from us. I think from what she said in that brief conversation - she had been able to move forward and urged me to do the same. I know what you guys are thinking so I will say this for the very first time - She DID NOT say Weber was Cooper. She called out of concerned for me and not herself at that time and her compassion was undeniable...I therefore kept her contact information a secret. That is the one lie I have told - I pretended NOT to know how to contact her - rather than be harrassed to provide it to others. The information was provided by an anonymous person who NEVER identified himself and I believe he may now be deceased. I got the impression he was ill as he communicated less and less or he had told me all could tell me without violating a confidence himself. One day a few yrs ago his emails stopped. I have my own theories about who it was and have added 2 more to that possible list. Two of the possiblities died within the last 3 or 4 yrs. I appreciate the efforts made by that person to bring resolutions to me. His first contact was made after the 2000 incident when the FBI lied to me. His email was untraceable. His HOME phone number ! That was just about the most stupid thing anyone could do in a public forum. Sure - one can get "most" phone numbers thru the computer if they want them bad enough...unless they are unlisted...or using other measures. Perhaps Jerry needs this lesson regarding fraud: True story. One woman got calls from a mortgage company - about a loan being placed on her home which was clear and free. Well, it seems that she later started getting calls about her payments not being made several months later. Well - there was a 50K lien against her home when the county checked. Of course, the bank who did this - had to drop the loan because it was fraud by an employee or someone else who had enough information to prove they actually were this person. (I do not know how this could have been done with out the lender and the borrower both being crooks). The woman was ill and if she had died - her children would have assumed she was the one who took the loan. The woman did die after this was discovered and before it could be resolved - the stress of it destroyed her...and took from her time she could have enjoyed - instead the stress made her last months on this earth HELL. Edit 1 -Glad I have time to Edit this thing - I read what I wrote and it had many errors. Edit 2 -Back to do some more editing and I am so tired - knew I needed to get this fixed. It is better I just tell it from memory rather than try to follow the darn map. I have everyone on MENTAL Ignore because I have something to say and I hope it is something that you guys can digest - it should go down like pudding and stick to you gut. I have been accused of using maps to create a story. Well, here is one that does use maps, because I had to find a good WA map that I could read so here goes. The FBI told me only after I confronted them in 2000 that Duane had been in McNeil. All we had with us was an altas and one map that showed 1/2 of the United States - not a quarter but 1/2. How did Duane Weber having only the casual relationship with WA claimed by the FBI manage to navigate and tell me the things he did? I am recreating our trip at the point he told me about Pendleton . 1. Pendleton - he was familiar with the base and made a remark about the base. 2. As we approached the Columbia he mentions things on both sides of the river. The Nuclear plant, which I now know to be Hanford and Reservation - which I now know to be a US Military Reservation just outside of Yakima which he mentioned by name..even though there is an Indian Reservation there - he does NOT mention this at the time. 3. As we approach The Dalles he mentions a couple of places in Oregon along that way - one of those is Heppner, but do not recall the other one. 4. Closer into The Dalles he talks about the river and a place in WA called Goldendale, It was obviously he had spent some time in Goldendale. 5. We spent the night just outside of The Dalles and he tell me I can sleep in the next morning, because he had something to take care of. I did not even ask what. He did mention Durfu just on down the way from The Dalles that eveing when we had something to eat. 6. I am studying the map to see where or why he left for approx 5 hours the next day and returned shortly after check-out time. I remember this because I had called the desk as I was worried. (Can't figure out where he went other than maybe Mt. Hood) or a Government Camp. 7. We cross the river (this I am confused on) - this map show a crossing at White Salmon and one at Bonnevile Dam (we crossed at the one which had all the boats on the East side so I assume from what I know about Dams we crossed at the Bonneville. 8. This crossing is when he mentions on the WA side a ridge west of us and pointing East on Hwy 14 he mentions Indian burial grounds or mounds or and/or a reservation - all I see on the map is a reservation. 9. As we approach Washougal the thinks he has missed his turn, but the Hwy splits at this point, he mentions they had four laned the approach and it was NOT four laned the last time he was there - I now assume in 1971. 10. We go to Washougal, but go to a cementary before we cross what I now KNOW to be the WASHOUGAL ( even though Jerry would have me be believe differently). I really believe he though we turn a Cames and I kept trying to tell him NO. 11. We make some turns after this crossing which took us thru pasture lands and and cattle till we reached what I now know to be the road to Lake LaCames. 12. The story about our little outing at Lake LaCames is well told in prior postings. When we pull out of the area because just moments prior he made his little remark "This is where Cooper walked out of the Woods" . I then took a mental note of the first Street sign I saw...the rest of this story is also documented in prior posts. 13. This would entail doubling back to Washougal for yet "one more side trip" North on the Washoughal and we turned around up in the curve which I have claimes had either 3 cottages and double wides on it (but no one seems to understand where). After we turned around we went West on what I now know to be Coffey road. He points out yet another cementary on our left. He tells me about Camp Bonneville - on our way to the old 500. A story about 2 men who escape from there over a fence, Little Baldy and a pit among several other things. On up the road he mentions Green Mountain, another tower and an airport then we go North toward Battleground, but turn West before that...which took us to a tower that was no longer there in the woods. Now we go back to the road and a little further North before turning W toward what I now know to the Hat. He pointed this out to me only after we passed it. From this point we head South to the road that would take us to I-5, but not without pointing out another Tower and a airport and another cementary. Note: I lost count of the towers already. 4 airpstrips and 4 cementaries. I forgot to count the tower that was not there in the woods. After reaching the highway that would take us to I-5 we head West and he points down going North where Dollars Corner is and comments he used to know a man there and about a store across the street. He has told me about the Pipeline and Power lines there as he did in the Lake LaCames area. 14. As we go up I-5 he mentions a tributary that goes under the highway and points to the left (W) mentions something in that area (I forget but it used to be a camp and now it is something else) - then he get my attention to the East - talks about the Power lines and Pipe line running paraell thru there. 15. Just before the Lewis River he mentions off to our right (East) is a cementary and old mill. Almost immediately he points to theWest about a little town called St Helens and that he used to know a woman who had a store there. Then we are at the Lewis River. I remember being awake at Longview and Castle Rock. He said something about Castle Rock, but I don't remember what because I was tired (yet, he was driving). My memory has dulled due to all of these yrs - I know that my mind wants to say he told me something about these places - but I would need a MUCH larger map to trigger more detailed information. ( I have to use a magnifying glass for this map and a flashlight - plus I have a large overhead lamp on and a goose neck lamp. Getting very hard to see maps. 16. As we approach the area he mentions where McChord is and Steillacoom telling me about a prison there with basically wall of water. He did not call it McNeil. As we are going thru Tacoma he points East and mentions his brother and partner having owned a complex there ,but it turned out not to be a good investment (he stated bought at wrong time). OK my eyes are killing me and I am very tired. He took me on another trip in Seattle and told me about the things above this all the way to Vancouver, Alaska. If you will remind me and if you are interested I will tell you the rest of this as I recounted it to Himmelsbach yrs ago...the FBI was never interest. Have to rest right now. I don't believe I have told how much the told me beyond the Airport before, because I didn't think it was necessary. Before I go for now, please digest what I have told you and I ask ONE question. Do the places and the things he showed me sound like some one with a casual aquaintance with the state of WA. while a resident at McNeil? I believe the book is titled What Really Happened by Max Gunther. I have more cognitive knowledge of this crime than you have. You have been no more than a deterrent all of these yrs. The things you claimed I said to others (being media) and in this forum will come back to haunt you more than you are already haunted by the horrors you have buried in your mind from the past. I can assure you that Duane Weber was involved in this crime and eventually it will be proven but without your help. Did I say involved? There are those who would say anything to you just to get you out of their hair. You believe whatever you want to believe or whatever makes you happy until the time comes. You think you are part of the Cooper story? All of the things you have said on this forum that are not true and that horrible phone call will be all they will remember - can you handle that? Is that how you want your family to remember you - this man who goes to a forum and says these things to a woman whose husband it turns out really was involved in the hijacking. Well, as it stand right now that is how you will be remembered. You will NOT be part of the story and you will not be remembered or for that matter acknowledge. You will be a bad memory for those involved in this part of the investigation. Maybe you will be remembered as a Screwed up Veteran who spent his life in the woods searching for Cooper's bones and who repeatedly called anyone who claimed to have any knowledge of the crime - a liar or a fiction writer. You will be remembered only for how badly you treated me and any untruths you have told and the grief you have caused. What you told about Duane's friend will NEVER beforgotten, nor the fact that my encounters with you were nothing but unpleasant. Can you handle that?

That statement was made at some kind of get together yrs and yrs after the incident - outside of it being a casual remark made yrs later - about the plane being further EAST that much was and has never been comfirmed in anyway what so ever. I believe if my MEMORY serves me right this was said during a retirement party for Himmelsbach. This may have been cocktail talk and is not a documented statement. I have read NO Newspaper accounting nor FBI accounting of the co-pilot stating this during the investigation or in any of the other new media coverage on this 1971 hijacking. Note also Jerry, you told me there was a Walmart and other development where there is none - as I described the area to you in one of the horrid wretched phone conversations where you treated me like a prisoner of war. Would love nothing more than to go to WA, but have been afraid of flying since a blood vessel ruptured behind my eardrum a few yrs ago (one of the "bus" jets making a fast landing). Brittle bones and missing most of the meniscus in my right knee (use a cane if I leave the house). A few yrs ago - would have taken you up in a N.Y. minute. I was always a dare devil...a miracle I am alive. I have walked the rafters of a barn 2 1/2 stories high with no pole or guide or anything to hold on to. Thought I was a trapeze artist. Made a dare jump in college off a rock piling at a man-made lake near Danville into what I found was relative shallow water - but my back has paid dearly for it. Never knew how high up I was - my memory is greatly distorted regarding the height....often wonder if it is still there and understand most of them have collapsed. This idiot had absolutely no fear of anything except snakes and spiders. Height and fast cars - now I drive like a snail and count to 100 over and over crossing the many bays we have here. Now I am that old lady who lived for years in my mirror and other reflective items in my home. When I first discovered the approximate route I think Duane walked out - I could have done it - that was 8 yrs ago. Would love to be there if anyone ever dared to recreate the jump and even to meet them at points along the way - because I want to see what it looks like today. Some of what was woods - now has homes and roads - so that would be easy. Especially interested in one particular place I think he spent the night at. By the second or third night he was on the Columbia across from the Portland airport. Always wanted to know who owned that property in 1971....and another piece of property (a farm). The FBI refused to look at it. Some things I know from comments made on that trip and during our marriage - others are from my own communications with other family members. Weber knew his only escape was to go as far away from his LZ as he could get - where they would NOT be looking for him....and he knew the way to Lake LaCames - he had the best maps anyone could ask for (Pipe lines and power lines and towers - some of which had warning lights for the planes etc)....he told me that yrs before that you could walk for miles along these until the undergrowth took over. He knew were every landmark was because he showed me landmarks and I could not see them - had no way of knowing they really existed until I got detailed maps of the area in 2001 and some much later. Someone who SUPPOSEDLY according to the FBI never spent any time in WA except for a short stay in the McNeil Island Prison could not have known all the things he did and showed me. Agent Larry Hope denied that Duane was in McNeil, but that was later refuted by his superior on national TV. In the darkness of night he stole a boat from a Marina on the Columbia where that power line crossed the Columbia and went right back to Vancouver. He always made this remark "If you want to get away with a crime go right back at them". Well, he must have known because it worked. The cabin or old homestead on the river - he had to have known it was vacant. The one across from and West of the PDX. This is where he went down to the river and this is when he told me about the tracks and the cabin that used to be there. He told me about how slow the trains went thru there - so I think he hopped one of them after he figured out their destination. He had buried the money and found a some other clothes - he was just a bum on his way to California. When he got to CA he needed help - so he called someone he could trust - she begged me to leave the past in the past and then had a heart attack - a few yrs later when I am in Ca talking to the only person she ever confided in - she has another heart attack before he and I can have our private conversation - she knew what time he had dinner and that he planned on having a private talk with me after dinner. Will anyone ever know what he was going to tell me? Will any of this ever be acknowledged? WHY are there so many secrets in the life of Duane L. Webe? We found the keys to some of those secrets and I hope to be able to make them public in a short while. It has been a very long road - it has used up my life and I am tired. Yes, I want to make that trip back to WA with all of my heart and soul. I want to bring Weber with me - because that is where he should be. Where everyone thought Cooper had died. When you make that venture from the LZ - to the Columbia and then back to the PDX a little of him will be left at points along the way. BIG noisy problem with doing this - Jerry. The one man on this earth I NEVER want to meet. Call me what you like but never call me a liar...because that I am not. Yes, there are some things I can only guess at because I do NOT have all the pieces to the puzzle. but what I do have tells me - Weber was Cooper. What will I do if the FBI put undisputable evidence and proof in front of me that Weber was NOT Cooper? Jerry has claimed Weber was with family and another time he claimed he was in jail. So which is it? If a certain person aided Weber they would have been quilty of and convicted of aiding and abetting him - even after all of these yrs...not to mention the social stigma the would have gone along with this admission. If you are going West - where the hell will you be jumping?

I wasn't looking for you to pacifiy me - just making observations. Remember I used to draw a lot yrs ago - wanted to be a commercial artist in college and my parents would not let me change my major...haven't tried to make any sketches since the 60's. Used to sit in class and draw the instructor or someone else in the class - got caught several times. Because most people do not "GET" the forehead thing - they would NOT see Duane in that composite. The lines in the cheeks of the Cooper composite as compared to the photo of Gossett is off. Weber does match more of what the artist was trying to portray. I noted the Hahnehan artist did get the little niche of hair he had - what some might call a widows peak. If you will note early pictures of Duane - his was more prominent then, but by 1971 was only faint. Since Coopers hair was known to be dyed due to the shiny dark brown color, it may only have been visible up very close. After the 1971 incident - I did not find it in any Weber photos showing this - maybe he kept it tweezed out over and over until it was gone. Pure theory - I didn't meet him until 1977 and it was gone then. Weber's hair was mostly salt and pepper when I met him and pictures taken after the crime never showed dark hair. Even a photo taken before the crime shows lots of gray. There is ONLY one picture during that time that shows his dyed hair - the one his prior wife sent me dated 1971 and she admitted to having dyed his hair for him. I think it is significant she sent me that photo, plus one of her hold the glasses with the 2 cars hehind her. At that same time she sent me 2 other photos showing him in 1969 with SALT and PEPPER hair. I have posted both of those - no one noticed. Nor did they notice his physical condition in one of these - very trim and muscular...he was exercising and swimming a lot according to his wife. He was able to cut through the water swiftly - even in the Atlantic in the mid and late 80's. Then in the Gulf after we first moved here - he had a fistula in place for the dialysis, but that did NOT stop him... The yr I pulled 2 boys out of a rip tide he stopped going to the beach. He felt it should have been him, but he could not move swifly enough on his feet to reach the water in time. He knew I put myself at risk - but I knew I was the ONLY one who could get there in time. The life guard would NOT have made it in time he was too far away. By the time he got there I had got the smaller boy to those watching on the bar and then the larger one - all the while screaming to the on lookers on the bar to grab them. When his hand was grasped only then did I realized was being pulled out to sea and knew I had to go with the flow until I could break away parallel with the sand bar. The only time in my life I had to be hauled to shore - I was exhausted. I did not stop to think I only reacted and only when I was trying to break out of the rip did I realize I might not make it out...you will never know the relief I felt when I saw the life guard coming toward me with at buoy. Those darn parent had NO idea what a RIP was when the children could not come back to shore. The life guard explained he could not have reached those children and if he did he would not have been able to retrieve both boys - I was 50 yrs old at the time. Often the memory of that day pops up and I wonder if those kids knew how close they came to drowning on that day. Without these LONG kangaroo legs and my ability to make long leaps up and out of the water I would not have reached them - every second counted and I could run faster than I could swim...the onlookers had NO idea the kids where in trouble until they saw me running and leaping out of the water - one came over and told me it appeared I was actually leaping on top of the water for a period of time. God had plans for those boys and that is why I was there. I was no hero - I only reacted instinctually. Opps Off target, but oh what the heck - no more off target than usual. Gossett, Hahneman, Weber - There seems to be a common thread - we will call the Hijacker Syndrome. Do a line up with all of these guys - (actual and composites) what do you see. I am seeing some resemblances - but, everyone resembles someone else. Even the ears in the Hahneman sketch are not as large as his actual photo. His forehead is higher because of the slant in real life. They certainly did not have the tools available in 1970's they have now for composites. These are very same problems I have with the Cooper sketch. I never heard of this guy, because I have tunnel vision when it comes to Cooper. Duane's forehead also slanted and I tried to explain this visual effect with the composites. Seems like they did NOT have very good composite artist in those days...at least the guy who tried to sketch Cooper shadowed the forehead trying to indicate the slant. The other thing the Cooper artist put in - the lines coming down from the mid lower cheek - again rather obscured in the composite, but there. Also note that the composite of the suspect they apprehended - they got the hair line wrong because of that slanted forehead. The average JOE out here looking at the composite would have to know this - most individuals looking at a composite do not understand the things they are looking at are different at different angles. With the composite of Cooper the public was looking for a Ben Gazzara with a lower forehead... and if you use the first composite they were looking for a Bing Crosby look-alike. Surely if the FBI sketches had been accurate - more suspects would have been reported in theimmediate period after the crime - unless Cooper lived in the South - I am serious when I say that Cooper was NOT front page news in the Georgia area. Cooper did not just appear out of thin air then Poof! (my old expression) The guy who contacted me yrs ago was named Doug B......... not Pasternak - and his suspect had been in jail in Oregon along the coast line. I don't remember the details and DON't feel like pulling his letter and docs at this time - someone remind me later on...I am making a memo to myself to pull them - IF anyone is interested. Otherwise they can say buried in my "stuff". I do know that he included in his letter documentation about his suspect...one from the FBI and the other I believe from the Sheriffs dept. of that location. The story as I remember it he had been in jail with this guy who he claimed was Cooper. Since there is a letter from the FBI - they obviously checked it out. . I remember having to describe the area and I was told to use the places as discussed with you...I didn't know one darn river from another. I used what YOU told me because I didn't know the names of the roads or the river Duane took me to. Something was done after I return from WA. but, I still had NO MAPS and was at the mercy of YOU (He who knows all). It was LATER I acquired the maps which showed the Lake I had been directed to while I was in WA. by Udell. Then I was able to put the right names to the places. Even when I contacted you after this you INSISTED it was the other places YOU had told me about and that I was WRONG and that I NEVER went to the WASHOUGAL or to Lake LaCames. Himmelsbach and I had a long conversation about this. I was upset you had told me the things you did - I could HAVE used your word that starts with L----, but I have been nice in the past by saying I felt it was a miscommunication, because it is difficult to describe what one sees in their memory to someone else. Himmelsbach knew I WAS STEAMING mad because you didn't understand what I was talking about. Even then I felt what you did was DELIBERATE because if you were such an authority on the area - HOW COULD YOU POSSIBLY HAVE NOT UNDERSTOOD WHAT I WAS TRYING TO DESCRIBE TO YOU? Why would you deny if even after the fact? I know the answer to that one. BELOW - What I found in my files a few days ago as another party was viewing some of the things I have: I trusted you at the time...but not after I got good maps and the right places. I found a letter I wrote to Himmelsbach where I tried to draw a map - two on one page. It is without question I was drawing the Washougal, but ALL I had was my memory and ...I had NO maps (if I had maps at that time I would have made a copy, marked it and sent him that). How many TIMES did you tell me there was NO WAY for the WASHOUGAL to be on MY LEFT unless I was going South. HOW MANY??? The day we left Salt Lake City - we headed for the Dalles. That is the first time I saw the Columbia. I explained to you that we were on the OR side of the river and I mention the road that went to Mt. Hood, but I didn't know the name of the mountain. I told you we crossed the Columbia at that time and went into this little town crossing a bridge over a river. I told you we turned LEFT and then after a couple of more turns and thru some pastures and barns we came to a WIDE BODY of WATER. You TOLD me that Duane MUST have turned me around and we were on the Columbia. I TOLD you NO that was not right - we were NOT on the Columbia, but you INSISTED there was NO OTHER WIDE body of WATER it could be. YOU DID NOT listen to what I said then (just as you are doing now) and that cost me 4 yrs - four yrs for more evidence to just poof. You alone are responsible for the LOCATION not being on TARGET - WHY? I have asked myself that question time and time again and I have three answers - one is deliberate and the other one starts with S and the last one starts with C. As for embarrassing the Weber name - what business is that of yours? 1. His brother had no children 2. We have never found the children of Duane..if they even exist. 3. The sister did not bear the name of Weber and all but one of her children have deceased. As for dishonoring anyone - How does your own daughter feel about you? I deleted the rest of what I was saying because it would be me acting like Jerry...and you know WHAT GUY's? I am better than that. Again I apologize for being repetitive - and found it necessary to defend myself. I wish we had IGNORE and then I would not be able to see his posts - from this time forward he is on MENTAL IGNORE. Knapsacks - that term was used by the BoyScouts in yrs gone bye. 1940's, 50's, 60's - not sure when the expression disappeared. By the way what do they call a pack you wear in front around your waist today? Do people even use these things in todays time - we have backpacks now? Very interesting that - woman you mentioned and the motel. Like Orange mentioned - yea! I would love it if it was a true story and it was the same hotel. If the story is true - what it does prove is exactly what was maintained - that the FBI did question workers at the hotels and motels. Agent Carr could find NO reports on any hotel or motel? If true - 1. Wonder why she thought Cooper had stayed in that room? 2. Was there a bottle of hair dye? 3. Did she see the man (after all he would have required a late check-out as did the individual seen by the nightclerk)? 4. Did a nightclerk think he had checked Cooper in and it resulted in this maid being questioned? 5. Such an obscure story - hope something can be found regarding it. [replyCan you imagine a jury deciding that ANYTHING said on this forum has serious financial consequences? If you have the money it isn't hard to find lawyers who will pursue cases with minimal legal merit or potential damages. If you really want to see if a case has some money potential try to find counsel who will take it on a pure contingency fee basis. I bet Jo or her outraged friend would have no law sharks rising to that bait. Jerry has nothing to worry about as far as a lawsuit goes. Go back in the forum and read all of Jerry's posts - read the multiple threats he has made regarding me. He is the one who continued along that line - not me, but I finally just could not take any more. Note - I did NOT go back and read Jerry's post - that would be a trival waste of time, because I remember them. Why? They were considered abusive by me - others perhaps just thought they were "fun". You know very well that I did not know the names of the rivers - and you insisted there was NO way I was near the Washougal. Even though I told you we crossed the Columbia and went thru a little town. You know that I had NO maps at that time - except for a STATE map which did not show the lake.You did not tell me about the lake (even after I described in detail to you what I saw) - and I thought was a river, (it was at this point you told me I had to be on the Columbia). Therefore the only river it could be was the Cow - shit(whatever you called it), but there is NO NEED to rehash this. Soon everyone will know the truth - I just hope I can hold on long enough to finish this mission that was thrust upon me and the mission I chose to see through because of the lies stated by the FBI and you. Remember folks - had it not been for the mysterious Angel Udell - I would not have been able to retrace the trip. Jerry and others did everything possible to make sure I was not able to do so. He refused to be the guide and I was assigned a student who had been in the area for 2 yrs as a guide for the documentary. It seems in retrospect that this was by design...don't expect this imbecile (referring to myself) to explain that one. Jerry, you don't know me - you never met me - I was nothing more than a voice on the phone that you could manipulate and abuse. Without a map - I was at YOUR mercy, but you had no MERCY nor a conscience...whatever your reason. I hesitate to say you had "motives" but, will leave it at that. I will also note that during time period you aggressively and firmly stated Cooper landed further North. Nothing else would satisfy you, but now you are pushing the location East and North of Washougal - WHY did you suddenly have this revelation after my trip to WA in 2001.
