Way Back When - Sluggo posted the above! As more and more has becomes evident - do the above statements mean more or less? Are we over a yr later still baffled? Will this skyjacking forever stay unsolved thru out eternity? There are answers NO one wishes to face. Cooper although he may have been involved in some "secret stuff" (note I do not say covert or SOG) in all probability acted alone or with only one other person. There is NO evidence to prove he died on that night. The only way Cooper could not be detected was to "change" his life. If he had a criminal past - he had to make sure he was never arrested again for anything. He had to cut all ties with anyone who might remember him and he was aided by the fact the first Composites were so bad (referring to the Bing Crosby look-a-like). It would be several yrs - before other composites would ever be known - to the general public. No one keeps a secret forever and he knew he had done a bang-up "job" - he knew he had got away with the "big score", even if he lost all of the money. Unless Cooper died in an accident or unexpectantly he had to tell someone who he really was...this would not be a secret a man would want to take to his death...if he was given the opportunity to tell it when NO one could hurt him or lock him up. This is human nature and survival. Because he had a "clandestine" past - if the FBI ever found out or suspected who he was - they may NOT have been able to "catch" him because it would have meant exposure of secrets others chose to keep...therefore like poison Ivy they let him be. Why expose a man who might expose "other" things as long as he was keeping his mouth shut? Why or how would such a man obtain many thousands of dollars during his last few yrs when his income was basically nothing? Lot's of questions! I have a stupid "woman" question. If these communication were in fact broadcast by VHF (did anyone record them). I would think if Cooper talked to the forward crew - that conversation could have been transmitted by and picked up by VHF radio. No pictures of Cooper and no voice recordings! If they had just one or two words from Cooper on tape - I would provide a particial recording of a conversation I had with Duane when he was irrational after going on dialysis in 1990. Explanation of the tape: For your information and for those who know little about renal dialysis - the chemistry within the body can cause them to act irrationally when first starting diaylsis - his voice at that time (2000) was raspy because of a procedure he they had done on him, but it is still his voice and the is there is anger involved, because he was still emotionally trying to handle the fact that his life depended on a machine. There were lots of the " Light Bulb" moments in the prisons in the late 60's. Speculation about how to do the "Big One" often involved hijacking. These kinds of conversations behind cell walls are the reason the FBI received so many calls especially from Jefferson and per Himmelsbach other prisons also. Local FBI agents in these areas where sent to verify these multiple contacts but, Himmelsbach never discussed the results with me. Only stated they were conducted by local FBI in the area of the prison. A large amount of those leads tracked to Coffelt (a name seldom mention in the Cooper arena and one that all but disappeared from the archived files). I am one of the very few who has speculated about Coffelt's involvement in recent yrs and his name came up immediately after I found out who Dan Cooper was. I discounted his story when ALL of the information about him was revealed but, within the last 2 yrs I have learned even more about Coffelt - I had been seeking this for 12 yrs when I was given the opportunity to discuss Coffelt with a well known investigative individual of the day...who had intense files (written and video)on Coffelt. His argument along with his continued "other" information was compelling, but I am still not convinced Coffelt was involved other than he knew who Cooper was or could have been - he just did not know his REAL name. Airtwardo - there is something hauntingly familiar about this statement you made and I will repeat it so you will know exactly what I am referring to: "ole 'Joe Shit the rag-man' who had some balls, some brains, some mechanical aptitude, maybe some military or civilian jump experience and who knows, possibly even some friend of bar room friend that worked for the company in Laos, who mentioned to Joe off-hand at one time, something about 727 drops...and bang, ole jumpin' Joe had a light-bulb moment?" Can you explain why this senario is very familiar to me or have you stumbled onto something? You see I PLAY dumb lots of time and put things out there hoping someday - it will stick in someone's crawl. An affilition of someone I have mentioned in "my Cooper story" as Jerry calls, it did exactly that - worked in Laos as a civilian, but somehow connected to the military (I don't understand how this works). I will give you an example of what I am trying to say. Supplies were distributed and someone handled those supplies - there were bars and someone handled that - I didn't understand the affiliation with the military, because I thought the mililtary handle ALL of the "action" in military camps. I am sure NO ONE wants to know what Jo has to say, but at least I am trying to MAKE all I know available so hopefully someone will find the pieces of the puzzle someday. It is guaranteed I won't be here, if and when that happens. I don't think anyone would understand what is in my files except me and I do expect that when I die - the key to who Cooper really was will die with me. Can you prove this statement? What evidence do you have of civilians being trained to jump by the military at or around Ft Benning?? 377 We have gone over this before - smokejumpers where trained at Ft. Benning. I don't have time to go back and find the sources, but it was in the history of smokejumpers and the research an individual in the Ft. Benning area did...Ft. Benning also trained jumpers for other countries. I have forgot the story - but there was one guy who was in the jumping course - and somehow an individual was found who had used someone else's number - and/or name. When found out I do not know what the results where - I expect criminal charges. I have often wonder if this is why the FBI came up with the name Wavy Greene on a military record with Duane's military number....no one was ever able to answer this one, but then all I have is my conversation with an FBI agent some time between 1998 and the early part of 2001. Wish I had recorded that conversation then maybe it would be proof. I have never research a Wavy Green because I don't know what the correct spelling was. The one at 3000 certainly indicates that woman in Ogden could NOT have seen what she claimed to see. All flight information we have indicates the plane was ABOVE 5k plus most of the time. Today I was bored and did something I have NEVER done. I went to Sluggo's site and viewed the media articles he had. Something I never wanted to do was to contaminate my memory by reading about other skyjackings...and did little research in that manner other than McCoy and Coffelt. ( I have never read the book written about McCoy). My research has been trying to validate the past of one Duane L. Weber. I was disappointed because a news video had been removed...and wondered what Sluggo meant by "only thing on the plane shredded". Was that referring to the aft stair well? Some of you I am sure viewed it when it was available. Reading all of the various articles about prior skyjackings - I think I did the right thing by NOT doing this several yrs ago...

Because he actually got away and he was an unknown as far as jumpers are concerned. The composite was off and the media in the East and South did not make it front page news. Starts to say D, but then stops short and looks down at his cigarettes with the Coupon on the page and says Cooooper. Does there really have to be a REASON for his using that name? That was an excellent rebuttal to Blevins. But, then I don't count. It is a given that Galen chases certain things and uses things that do NOT fit the pattern as we know it. Blevins can't get his details correct - note that early on Blevins was at Sluggo's site - I made a comment in this forum that Blevin's needed to get his FACTs correct before trying to write a book. He had made a statement about a note being given to Tina Mucklow - and we all know it was Florence Shaffner. He must have gotten the message because he finally got it right. I don't agree with Blevins on his accounting and I also have problems with Cook (of course I would they aren't writing about Weber). Every book done on Cooper does the same thing - change facts or dress the truth...the only accepted "factual accountings" ever written into books are Tosaws and Himmelsachs - BUT, how much of their stories are also dressed to make for better reading. There will never be factual book about Cooper because the FBI has never made their files available to the public - and sometimes I think the FBI files will read like the different books -depending on the agent making the report. The truth just keeps changing every time someone writes a book - and NO book is going to be successful until the writer can prove his subject was Cooper. Even the FBI's own site used literary licensing. Too many writers and too many stories and the public looses interest...that is one way to make Cooper go away! Good thing Blevins made his book free - I wouldn't have paid for it. Blevins has NO idea where Tina is and I do not believe he ever talked to her....but that is just Jo talking - she is crazy and delusional - she claims she talked to Tina yrs ago. "isue's " is spelled ISSUES and it has no possessive apostrophe. Many of us make grammatical and punctuation mistakes, but we don't go around making false accusations about other posters. You are an excellent example of those who start rumors and cause actual suspects to be ignored. You have done everything in your power to discredit me since 2001 when I refused to communicate with you after you "lied" to me. Then you found the forum and again proceeded to attack me...yet I have the written documentations regarding what I wrote to Himmelsbach which is the same things I tried to tell you. I also have written documentations (Quade received quotations from a copy of the email sent to me by Perry) regarding the trip to WA in 2001...this particular E-mail proved you are the one who lied and not me. I also have a copy of the letter I mailed to Himmelsbach with a map of the area I was describing which is exactly how I described it to you. I reminded you over and over that I didn't know the names of the places and all I could do was describe them. I sent you the same drawing I sent Himmelsbach. I did not have a map of the area - I was drawing that map from my memory of the trip - yet you said there were no such places and you are the one who insisted on the names and the places Duane took me. I was able to find these places when I went to WA, despite your flagrant insistence that no such places existed. Also there is an email to Perry regarding the Tavern we went to and the Tavern you insisted was torn down before I was there in May of 2001. To what end? If you're interested in solving the case, then why would you hold anything back? What purpose could that possibly serve? What purpose could they serve? To sift out those who know and they who pretent to know. Those who would use certain information that might damage others. Things I kept quiet on has been things there was NO need for the public to know - things from my own research and those who have helped me...but, oddly enough 3 individuals came up with some of the same research connections - that was NOT a co-incidence. None of us knew about the others, but each of us will be able to document when we found this specific information. There is a fourth also -and this man's story seems to cross with Duane - but no proof of this - other than same background and same acquaintances. Cook nor Bruce were aware of this one person who has for yrs done extensive research regarding his subject which he has guarded and DOCUMENTED in a way not available to peons like Gray, Cook, Bruce and Myself. Two well known individuals have secretly collected information and compiled it for yrs. Both of the names are well known by everyone, but not inconnection to Cooper. One is a very very famous writer / investigator and the other is a retired media individual from the Cooper era. Neither of these individual have ever posted ONE word in this forum. Many of my communications with those involved in the past with the history of Cooper have NEVER been talked about by me in a public arena...nor with the FBI. I have not been able to travel nor could I afford some of the other types of investigations done by other individuals, but I have documented what I have that could not be made public...in such a manner they are copied and dated. No way they could be constructed for the purpose of falsification (like Jerry constantly calling me a liar and a fiction writer or creating a fantasy). As for the FBI - most if not all ceased those communications, because they ended up in file 13 - the waste basket of Agent Carr and past agents. The system is too fragmented and too loosely connected - too many agents and too much information just LOST over the yrs...and I have talked to agents in the last 14 yrs who did NOT know who D.B. Cooper was and didn't understand what I was talking about...even in Seattle. Now those are the one's that got my attention...that is when you realize this crime WILL not be solved by the FBI. I am curious about what results they obtained with the research that was done on Tena's bar and other areas - and we may not know until the book comes out. I predict Cook's book will have a TWIST...after all what good is another book on Cooper if it doesn't prove WHO Cooper really was. This supposed witness account needs to stand on its own ... thoughts? Question: Is this the same story Cook told on Sluggo's site? If it is then it has changed considerably. In the post I am referring to there was no mention of the spouse being deceased - and 'all the rest of the details' that are now being told. How many people are claiming the FBI told them to "Shut the F-up"? In this other accounting supposedly they came to their house to tell them this. I have not gone back to read the other accounting - just calling it off the top of my head - so I am sure I made some errors. I do remember the other accounting was also something from Tosaw's records that Cook was provided with. Questionable and requires some answers from your truely - Galen Cook and the witness. P.S. Can anyone pin point on a map where this siting was supposed to have occurred? Just curious how this siting fits into the LZ proposed by the FBI. I think the FBI's proposed LZ was in essence correct - except more South. In the fury of finding Cooper they didn"t extend the search far enough fast enough. Does anyone have a list of all the claimed sitings - given back in 1971? Overlay those sitings with the Easterly and Westerly most possible lines. Just thought you guys might be interested in this. The information came to me from Galen Cook. I waited till tonight to post this, because I did NOT want there to be any problems. May 22, 2010 (tonight) Northwest Airlines ( now Delta) is having a HUGE party for retired pilots and flight attendants. Supposedly Andy Anderson (flight engineer) and Bill Rataczak (the co-pilot) usually attend. Maybe "Cooper" will make an appearance (Joke). I was given this information by Galen Cooper sorry I meant to say Cook. The composite used in an article about Gossett was altered to resemble Gossett, but Cook had nothing to do with this. I predicted this composite would be picked up as the real thing - and it is now circlulating in other countries including the US as the REAL thing. Journalist who do this kind of thing should be held accountable, but that is like asking BP to be accountable for the damage they have done. Galen has assured me he had NOTHING to do with that alteration...and I believe him. The least the journalist could have done was state it had been altered and removed the officlal FBI caption numbers from the picture. Counterfeit pictures and conterfeit money...In God We Trust? Interesting and confusing. I will be more interested in this package - that should support or disavow Burnworths claim. If Burnworth was arrested and question regard Cooper (making the newspapers) why has there never been any mention of this by the FBI or the media in these 38 yrs? I specifically ask Himmelsbach about Burnworth (giving him what history I had been told) and was told a flat NO - but then maybe he forgot - he is in his 80's. Burnworth stated he did NOT know who Cooper was and yet his daughter thinks it was him, because of this news article. Surely there are some computer geeks out there who can find something regarding this incident since it supposedly was in the newspaper. At any rate I did not come back tonight to post the above but to post this picture of a girl about 8 or 9 and woman of 22. This is the photo from the Reno paper along with the picture of the little girl used in the Book. Wish I knew a photo expert who could restore the old water damaged photo - but it did NOT fall apart until I tried to scan it - it stuck to the glass on the scanner when I went to reposition it a couple of yrs ago.
