I know where Hockinson is, but you are right about something. There is an Indian Reservation called the Yakama Indian Reservation about Goldendale. Just about that is Toppenish and Yakima (I was under the impression there was a airport in that area yrs ago associated with the government but I cannot find it nor do I know the name of it). Hockinson is a long way from there and so is Cold Creek Camp. A range of mountains separates the two as I see it. The things he told me on the way to Washougal after our night in the Dalles area - has given me reason to explore the above places and your placing the airstrip as a base for the P-38 fighters - if this turns out to be true - then I have to figure out why and when in the case of Weber. Duane also mentioned Trout Lake along the way. But another Indian Reservation and the Cascade Mtn Range separate all of that from Cold Creek and Hockinson which is West of the range. When I find out how and when Weber was in the area enough to know his way around without a map - then half of my job is done....just learning how he knew all these places and when will bring me some Peace - then I can die with some resolution. I just do NOT believe the FBI investigated the background of Duane Weber sufficiently enough to rule him out. He may not have been using the name of Duane Weber, but the nickname would be there (it was tattooed on his arm - but I never dared call him Dusty). His complexion was ruddy olive to a dark mahogany depending - on his sun exposure. As I have said before when he was real dark - he would have passed for black (I have given an example of that in the days we were married and living in Virgina). He did not have black features - other than the dark complexion and eyes. To me his complexion would be more accurately be described as Greek - Latin - Mediterranean (such as Caesar Romero)...we were even stopped on the beach on time by some woman who thought he was Mr. Romero...right after the Movie about I believe was called Atlantic City. Believe me when I say this and there are others who can all fill you in on this.....these guys tape and tape and tape and then they use so very little. What they end up with is nothing like you thought it would be. They cut and paste - putting things out of sequence and most of it ends up on the cutting room floor. Been there done that and why I have turned down EVERY offer since 2001. Just doing my own thing to find resolution - I believe if I had not gone public this might be over now. If you let yourself get caught up in this (which you already are) it is difficult to let go - especially if you have a personal involvement such as I do. The problem with my research is that it is NOT hands on - I am not in WA and therefore it is all virtual. Because I know Duane Weber was Dan Cooper - and I actually held physical evidence and he actually confessed (except I didn't know who Dan Cooper was), my involvement is very very - personal and very intense. False statements regarding what I claimed and tried to tell were twisted causing me to be discredited by someone with a personal agenda...therefore my trip to WA in 2001 was a bust. Robert99 - You asked me this question but it meant nothing to me until just now. I kept trying to find your post. The name Cold Creek means nothing but where it is DOES! Why? I kept trying to find the route he took me off of what would now be 500 - but, we went up thru the woods before getting to a main highway. This is where he turned me around - and I kept thinking we were West of Hockinson. When I looked up this Cold Creek Camp - it is East of Hockinson. So googling maps I have lots of questions. I can't print them out and I couldn't get any details of the area. I can tell you that he DID NOT take me to Cold Water Camp, but it is possible we were East of Hockinson when we drove out of the woods after he showed me the circle in the woods where a tower used to be. Problem is I can't find any tracks in the area, unless it was just a track to haul lumber. This is the part of our trip that has me baffled and if I could figure this out - it might bring some clarity to the rest of the trip. My impression is the front door behind cockpit via stairs with the rear of the plane never opened. In addition and more important, we have opening/ cracking the rear door BEFORE TAKEOFF which comes up after passengers deplaned, later in the Transcripts. If the rear door had already been opened and used to deplane the passengers or bring things on, then its already open and not an issue - I also think this because Hancock and Schafner are always spoken of (after landing) as being at the front or near the front of the airplane, and stews bringing things up the stairs at the front, and ... once the passengers had deplaned an issue developed and Scott radios and complains: ' cant you group those people together and get then away from the plane, and keep them away from the plane, we cant have them coming back - we just had one guy come running back that forgot his suitcase and we had to INTERCEPT HIM AND THROW HIM OFF THE STAIRS!' ... that implies: everything happening at the front of the plane. You will note that all of the Cooper Crap has come up since 2000 I went public. Until then it was relative quiet except for suspects the FBI investigated and most never made public. The AGE of The Internet Esculated the Cooper Wannabe Stories and no longer was there just a small article in the newpaper that in a few wks was not remembered...... It was around 2000 that some of the older age group decided to engage in Computer activities - mostly because if they didn't they got left behind on their jobs and managing personal affairs.. Let me clarify my position so I am not lumped in with the Easterly Route: I know the plane went over the Orchards /Brush Prairie area and then just East of Portland and West of Cames. So don't put me in that category claiming a Easterly route way out over Washougal. I believe Cooper was waiting for specific things to happen (feel) or to be able to see and that he used a timed exit. The plane out-skirted Battleground and it passed over the Orchards area. I have never claimed as Jerry did that the Plane was WAY East of the route. I do believe that weather conditions and winds determined his landing area - this means he missed his contact point where ever that was. He was familiar with the area and was able to determine where he was and the route he needed to take to avoid detection and that was to go South East - as fast as he could under the cover of night and that he used a light to a tower as his guiding Beacon. At this site he had to lighten his load so he could make it to a "safe" place to hide for awhile. What he left and what he took - would be a guess. He found his way - and back then when you found the pipeline or powerlines - that all converged at several points S.E. When talking about the power grids - Duane Weber stated that yrs ago before the undergrowth that you could walk for miles. I believe he walked one of the grids to safety and a hiding place he spent the next night and from there to freedom. PS: Has little or nothing to do with the above, but needs to be mentioned: Duane had told me he used to know the caretaker at a specific old mansion in another area. . The FBI refused to investigate over the yrs and find out who the Caretaker was in 1947 and 1971. If they had checked this out they might have been in for some big suprises. What is a 555 Triple Nickle Jumper lie detector test or is this just a joke. I am not lieing nor am I joking about having told Himmelsbach and the FBI about the early research...and remember that at that time even though Himmelsbach was retired, I did tie him to the FBI and felt he was sharing whatever I said to them. I had communications about this many times with others... If you are genuinely wondering if I would take a lie detector test in general - the answer is yes. I asked for one way back when. Now with all of the yrs and all the different people I have spoke to and told things to and the deception I have sometimes had to use to extract information - I am not sure how that would affect any test results. Yes, Georger I have had to be very devious - to extract information from certain individuals. I did not enjoy doing these things, but with certain individuals I had to play along with them - to see if the information they maintained they had was valid. For your information and I will again set the record straight - Duane Weber told me he had Ranger training - that does NOT mean parachute training. I did NOT know that jumpers where called Rangers until this forum. To me a Ranger was a Forestry Ranger or having to do with forest fire fighting. My initial thoughts about "Ranger" were very simple.,,I had never associated the word Ranger with military until Duane's confession. As for Ranger training at Fort Benning - all I have is what Duane told me about Ft. Benning ---what he said does not say he was a RANGER. "Over there is where we lived" and then pointing further N and S. "Over there is were we jumped." This was in the Ft. Benning and Phenix City area...there are a couple of things he said during that time that bring me to the conclusion he was actually there. He talked about a building where they made pictures and he talked about a man who used another man's name and serial number, but was found out. How or why one would do this was a puzzle - but I questioned little in the way of questions about his past. I did not even go to the site. The FBI is well aware and so is Himmelsback that Duane talked about the Triple Nickles and pointed out areas they trained in. It was one of first conversations as we approached Pendleton, but he mentioned some place North of Pendleton (one of the places intend to find on my trip) that the Triple Nickles jump and trained at before they were even called the Triple Nickles and were utilized by the government. You are aware I have consistently asked the FBI and others if Duane could have been an errand boy - because the blacks could not go into most of the restaurants - This was because of something Duane said. Now I am going to the site and see if I have been there before and will let you know if I see something I have not seen before. P.S. One of the places Duane talked about was WALLA WALLA. I already had that on my map. Duane was very familiar with the Balloons that landed - all in the conversations. As you know I have consistently tried to get more information than has ever been written about the Balloon Bombs and the fear the government thought they might have a Chemical within them and did NOT want want to frighten the citizens in those areas of the Balloon finds. Also remember that Duane Weber had Chemical Warfar training and that his Uncle Lyman VanBuren Weber was drafted for the second time in 1944, but chose to do public service work (we never found out what that work was). Georger, have you ever asked anyone's permission to post anything? Perhaps I can give you something that will shock the socks off you and Grey. Tonight I learned about yet another book coming out in March. Strange as it may sound the story is shockingly similar to Weber's story and his life. Guess that got hijacked also. There is a problem with this story. When the money was found Coffelt was dead. When the money was found McCoy was dead. Brown's story (90% of which was plagurized) added a remedy for this, but it was only added AFTER the money find and not by the orginal writer. A woman with Dumb Blonde Syndrome who has consistently recited her story and accused of being a liar and delusional is the only person to put the money in the Columbia during the time frame Palmer and recent testing placed the money in the water. Outside of theory and stories told to support this - there is only one story that fit the testing of the money. She did not even "get it" because the FBI and others reported the money had been in the water since the 1971 hijacking. The most comprehensive knowledge she had of the crime came in May of 1996 from the first few chapters of a fictional book and she had no knowledge Dan Cooper was D.B. Cooper until that night in May of 1996...and the FBI tapes of her hysterical ramblings on that night in 1996 substanciate this. Go Figure! The composite of Cooper has been altered - at least the numbers were taken off. One of the altered composites didn't even remove the FBI numbers off of it. That was one that was altered to look more like Gossett. Mouth and eyes are altered. Who is the guy next to that you are trying to point the finger at or are those clips you froze from the U-Tube Dork Zone. I am talking about the first 2 pics. One was the forensic artists' rendition I had done before I acquire the attached photo of Duane Weber provided by his wife from 1971. I haven't been able to find where I posted that sketch. The artists rendition was very large and I didn't think it looked right - so I don't believe I ever used it on this forum or another forum. I do NOT have a copy of this Regression in my photo file, because someone else would have had to have taken a picture of it or scanned it on a large scanner...it is very large. I do not know that I showed the composite to Sluggo. It is possible that one of the media sources may have used it - before the ex-wife sent me the 1971 snapshot. I just know I was surprised to see it role thru the credits...I do not have it in my photo files that I scanned. Sheridan is not hard to find nor is he difficult to talk to. He has been nothing but cordial to me (by email) although he has put me in my place a couple of times. I have been wondering WHY he is doing DNA? Was this his choice or something the FBI required of him? Sheridan has health problems just as we all do as we age...perhaps this forum suggesting he was Cooper has not a been his cup of tea. He is strong in his opinions and he has a right to do so. Don't discuss politics with him unless you want to be put in your place real quick. If anyone manages to get an interview with him it will have to be a highly educated and unopinionated person who can discuss things on his level. All of you know he is quiet an accomplished writer. Do any of you guys know what he is working on? Perhaps with encouragement from his daughter he has finished the book of all books and the DZ gave him the idea. Now if his DNA includes him - the FBI can dump the Cooper search. Some of you have had a sense that something was happening in WA. This could very well be it as the FBI wants to bury Cooper...what better way to do this than have someone confess and claim the DNA matches! For the right price even Sheridan can be had! He is facing the end stage of his life so think about this. Greed is a very strong motive and most of us strive to make sure we are not financially dependent on others. The economy has hurt most seniors out here on one level or another. Our retirment funds are down, our incomes are fixed and inflation has a lot of us worried we will out live our monies. I do know there are "rumors" in CA about a Cooper movie and Sheridan lives in CA. A writer none of you have ever mentioned and unaware of also lives in CA and has been working on a Book about Cooper for yrs. His subject was not Sheridan, but since this person has now connected his subject to the same company Duane worked who knows just what the H--- is going on. Maybe Mr S and and SP have joined forces along with others involved over the yrs. This might explain the collage of photos by DorkZone. Did anyone slow it down and check to see if you recognized all of the photos...isn't there one of Sheridan in there? Note that Christiansen was not included. WA is sure cheerful right now regarding Cooper. Major players in the Cooper Story are suddenly very very quiet and their mood is elevated. Remember some individuals where tired of their lives being interrupted for the past 39 yrs and upset others seem to be making money off of Cooper. Maybe these individuals decided it was time to bring the Cooper Saga to an end by telling their own story...before anyone else gets their "books" or documentaries out there. The FBI wants this to end and major players would like to see a little green come their way and to be compensated for their 39 yrs and the lost of their privacy. With the new age of technology in the last 15 yrs - their lives have been rudely disrupted and not paid for interviews or to talk to people like us and anyone else who has "Cooper". I have Dumb Blonde Syndrome, but you are on the path to self destruction. If you edit books the way you edit or interpret these posts you will loose the race before you get out of the gate.
