He was getting old and didn't know if he would make it this last time. Claimed he knew who Cooper was and was hoping he would show up. Evidently the man did not have a name to go with the memory, but knew he would recognize him. The 39th he told her he was getting old and might not make it for the 40th. Since Duane was a "Ghost", I thought the man might remember other pictures of Duane. (Unless he uses a computer there are pictures never printed in the media). Duane used many different names and why I wanted to send some pictures and other possible names Duane may have used. This man may not have remembered the name used, but he obviously thought this man was Cooper and kept hoping the "man" would show at one of the annual events. On the 39th he told her the man was probably deceased. When I asked her about this man before the 40'th. She had told me JT was banned from the Tavern but he claimed different and he did go this past yr. Now I find it difficult to trust what she has told me in the past. The event every yr is commercial so I do not know how reliable this story is. Maybe the man was a Ghost himself. Maybe it is just a story she likes to tell. Below is a post I made yrs ago after Snow introduced the clip regarding the 727's drops. Somewhere in the thread prior to this I kept on and on about the 727's being used prior to 1970, but Snow found them. Somewhere along the line 377 had made a remark about my Folsom "smokejumpers" and was surprised to find I was actually correct about the 377's prior to 1970. =================== This is what I looked for - for yrs. I had been told about it, but had no proof it was actually done - now, you found it. I was only able to watch it in second segments. Does anyone know how I can get it on a disk or whatever in order to view it like it is supposed to be viewed. I have only dial-up. Air America planes had a connection to JMWave (reported to be a covert cover) out of Florida. JMWave bought some of the planes. Two companies who had Weber on their payroll at that time and prior to that as Collins were part of JMWave.? Go research JMWave and you will find they bought Air American planes in the 60's and early 70's. JMWave was reportedly related to various covert actions in Cuba and other countries. There was also a reported drug connection. I know you guys think I am crazy but this clip took me right back to where I was yrs ago and all it got me was 12 yrs of being ridiculed and made fun of and called delusional....BUT, I didn't have the clip - just the information that it had been done and Duane's involvement with these companies. These Insurance companies have alway been a puzzled me because Ex-cons cannot be licensed insurance agents. I met many individual who worked for these companies when Duane did - and I have since 1996 found that four of whom Duane had a close association with are also ex-cons. Most agents with these companies were and are very legitimate - but for some reason it seemed to be a easy place for ex-cons to find employment. I have not changed anything in this the post above. 377, you know I was the one who insisted the 727's were jumped out of early on. I insisted on this because of something that was on TV after we moved to FL in 1988. It took Snowmman to find the clip and make it available on this thread about the 727's. I also mentioned very early on in the explorations of Duane's past what he told me about Air America and a group who bought 2 planes. One was Sanford and the other was down in S. Fla. This was again something he talked about on one of our trips to FL. He showed me an office building and told me several things came out of that office - now I forget where, but all of this had to do with one of the companies he was associated with in his past. My memory is failing me lately - difficult to just remember what I have to do to function....getting old and tired. Tired of the chase because it never ends. It was NOT clear who made the above post or why. What does the profile of Cooper have to do with horses and hockey? Who ever said Cooper talked with Tina about Hockey? Weber knew how to ice skate and was pretty good. I learned about this ability when we lived in CO and Duane took my daughter and I out for my first and last time on ice skates. Duane's knowledge of horses was limited to a horse farm in FL where he evidently spent some time - near Ocala. It was just a passing conversation and if horses had not been mentioned above I would never have ever have given that a thought. Seems like this man he knew or maybe worked for was into collecting cars. That is all I remember and I do not remember during what time frame other than it would have been on one of our trips to see my parents or the time we drove to Miami or Ft. Lauderdale for our trip to St. Martins. This is the first I ever heard of Cooper making small talk with Tina. Had he done so - the FBI would have zeroed in on those specific areas in 1971. I don't know if anyone has noticed this about LD Cooper & Dewey Max Cooper, I see a problem with Birth dates? Records show Dewy died in 1985 at age 54. Frankly I believe the only reason Marla would even come to the site is to see what others are saying and checking out new facts and stories to use. One individual in the past has called me a liar and story teller, but now he has a new victim (although I do NOT consider Marla a victim other than perhaps a victim of whoever talked her in to pursue this with what little information she had. Surely she would have thought the family was just jesting because their name was Cooper. With the family name being Cooper it stands that this would be a standing joke at most Thanksgiving get-to-getters. What is amazing is that the FBI went as far as they did. The FBI is just looking for a way out and current agents NEVER review OLD files. This is basically a repeat of the Weber Story just in a different format. ONE difference - I was 40 yrs old when I was told and hear and saw the things I saw and then some of this was not until 1990 and 1995. NO agent should ever approach a witness with only ONE photo of a one suspect. IF the FBI actually did this - that was their 1st mistake. All of us have suggested at one time the FBI present several subjects and non subject to the witnesses. This is NOT meant to confuse them, but to see if they actually remember what Cooper looked like. Personally I had a difficult time figuring out who one of the individuals was at a class reunion and had to ask. This individual had changed a LOT. Seems like I would fall within that same guideline. According to JT I have changed my story several times - but, I know I haven't. (It was a matter of relating what I was able to visually remember in a way someone else could understand or visualize what I was describing). So what draws the line between Marla and myself, other than I was mature adult in 1979 and an old lady today? I. for one am not capable of presenting my case - and just do NOT do well in public or even standing up before the class in school as a girl. I know my story but it encases so many yrs of my life that one could NOT do it in 30 minutes if I was even capable of telling it at all in front of people. Regarding reporters and writers: Mr. Bennett the sentence I Highlighted in your post above I have found to be true over and over for the last 16 yrs. This is exactly why I continue to stay in this thread and try to tell what I know ON MY OWN, because when I have been interviewed - It does not come out the way I was saying it or trying to say it. Many times I do NOT know how to express myself and in my mind everyone has followed my post and knows as much as I do about Weber but, that unfortunately is my undoing. I am unable to tell the story in a manner which allows others to follow and I loose them in my ramblings. I keep hoping someone will actually hear me in the thread - to actually take my posts and try to follow what I have been trying to tell for yrs. Duane was some kind of Secret Ghost - and perhaps I will never know who or what he was. I do know the man was involved in many things - and perhaps he was a very astute liar as some have suggested. The astute liar thing just does NOT fit. I am the one who lived with this man for more yrs than he lived with his own mother. Weber seldom used "I" in his stories except for "I'm Dan Coooper" and "I used to know Paperlegs" and then in WA when he said pointing North into ID and spoke of an Indian Reservation and several small towns stating "I used to know a boy, we got in some trouble there and I can never go back". I pumped for more information and as usual he would change the subject when it come to his past. The trip to WA was full of "I's" and actually the only part of our marriage that actually revealed anything about his past. Everything else was in 3rd person. For instance his taking me to Treasure Island/St. Pete on a return trip from seeing my parents - when he told me about a guy who was arrested in the area and when asked his occupation - replied "Crook". The FBI had never told me about Duane's past and it was only in the last couple of yrs I learned about Duane Weber's arrest in FL and his declaration of his occupation. I remember when I read this article posted by one of our members here (right now I forgot who) and the the subsequent copies of the news article that Georger and others tried to provide in a format I could actually see and read and to print. That particular finding "hurt" but it only enforced what I have tried to tell. I knew little to nothing about the man I spent 17 yrs with and it was at that time I realized that all of the other stories he had told me were also in the 3rd person...He had actually told me about his life in the only way he could. Perhaps this is why I have started to call Weber a Ghost. That's all he was - a GHOST - I never got to know the real person...except during those last few months. I went to Wa in 2010 for 15 day and you guys didn't know until Sluggo ALMOST gave it away. My health gets in the way of plans and I go back into surgery in the near future. This will be 2 in less than a yr. and there are no guarantees at my age. If I could be assured my surveyors would be available at that given time and my guys would be available (with all of their research) - I would give it a try, but finances this yr are going to rough. Medical expenses (drugs, tests not covered by medicare, respite care, paid transports and other things) outside of the usual paid by medicare and supplement have been taking a big hit and this yr they will be worst. A trip to WA does not fit into my projected expenses for a trip this yr. Sure there are times I feel like giving up - and just walk away. Then along comes someone like Knoss and others who try to make me look bad or call me a liar and I am back in the struggle. I know Cooper did NOT loose the BAG as Guru312 suggested. I do plan on trying to get back to WA before I am unable to do any traveling at all....if I don't make it then someone else with have to "Do the Deed".

I do NOT dispute Jerry's Military Records - just other things. What I was actually trying to say was the "method" both Knoss and Thomas have used regarding me. Information for the benfit of those who do not know the story: Duane was in Jefferson as Collins and received a commutation of sentence under that name. Weber was not added to the Jefferson file until it was placed into the public records and accessible on line. COMMUTATION OF SENTENCE for John C. Collins has been posted in the thread and it is authentic. Ex-sponged Military Records? Seems like the research of others has proved otherwise...! Do you realize how TELLING the post you just made is? Of course not! You are the one responsible for MUDDY Waters regarding Weber. YOU know you denied knowing anyone by the name of Tommy Gunn. Tommy was an old friend of Duane's who knew him as John Collins. Tommy was the man who had a kiosk in a mall in a city we had moved to in 1980. I heard someone holler "JOHN" and Duane turned around. I told Duane "he called out John not Duane", but Duane told me he knew this man. Duane asked me to stay in the area I was and he walked down toward the man. A few moment later the man comes up to where I was waiting for Duane. After being introduced to him I asked why he called out John. He told me that was because of the Johnny Jar - the very same thing the ex-wife told me 17 yrs later. This was after I was able to find her without the help of the FBI and convince her to tell me about her life with Duane. She only knew him as John Collins until 1968 when he was released from Jefferson as John Collins. Even her own children tell the story about how they only knew Duane as Johnny until 1968. After I met Tommy he would ask Duane and I go go to dinner he and his girlfriend. Duane told me Tommy was a very dangerous man (never explained why - even when I asked). He said they would want us to go to their home and I was to say I was not feeling well. I did as Duane told me. Tommy was the guy I contacted after I found out who Dan Cooper was. He was very nervous on the phone when I told him what Duane had told me and stated "Duane knew people in high places and if you want to be around to play with your grand kid, destroy everything you have and do not look back". A few yrs later I did contact him again, and he was nice to me - but refused to talk about Duane or John or how he knew him. Robert, for gosh sakes, take the money. That's not selling out or cashing in. That's earning a living. I did the same thing - and refuse to take compensation. I did let one company fly me to Wa and pay for the hotel - such a trip was out of my budget in 2000 or 2001. Another director bought my lunch as did Geoffry and Sluggo. Outside of the above listed things - I took NOTHING and asked for nothing. I wanted to find the TRUTH about Duane. I stated from the beginning I felt taking money would damage my credibility. Blevins was aware of my stand on this but, he stood to make a profit off his book. I never heard of her responding to anyone else. If you would like to talk to me about what was said I will do that only in a personal phone call...other than what has been said on the thread. There were those who claimed I did not talk to her and I claimed I had been hoaxed. Several yrs later after hearing her voice on one of the taped programs she interviewed on, I had NOT doubt I actually spoke with Tina. It was Tina who told me "Cooper was a very sad man". Until then I do NOT believe this had ever been stated to the public. Carr even made it part of the FBI site as he did with the Cooper comic. My conversation with Tina occured around 2004 (would have to look it up to verify the date). I contacted the FBI about the offical site - and I have NOT gone back to see if it was removed, regardless - if I had made it up it has become part of the Cooper Story as told by the media just as the Cooper Comic has - all thru this forum. NO WHERE had anyone ever heard that comment from Tina except through me and possibly in private transcripts with the FBI. Cook claimed to have spoke to her - but, he did NOT tell her who he really was. He has made it sound like there was more, but unless something is being hidden from me - Tina did NOT know the man who came to see her was Galen Cook. Cook acquired certain information from me and I placed a call to Tina leaving a message. The message - was afraid a sneaky-snake might have found her thru my revealing where she got her divorce. If you follow or read the thread, you know when the guys in this thread bragged about talking to Tina's ex-husband. THese guys did NOT talk to Tina's ex - they didn't even know his real name. I was really laughing hard when they made their posts bragging about their interviews with the ex. These guys did NOT have Tina's husband's name correct and the man they claimed to have interviewed was NOT Tina's ex. I played along with them and asked a couple of general questions to see where they would go with the tale they were telling. If you or anyone really listened to me they would know I contacted Jefferson yrs ago and was told Duane Weber was not a resident there but John Collins was.
