This is exactly why I and everyone else "laugh" at your claim regarding his using make-up because of his prison complexion. He looked tanned by normal standards even when he had not been in the sun. Old Email to a Friend combined with postings around 6/23/05, wrote on June 23, 2005: I have come to the realization that the government wants to hide the truth about Duane L. Weber AKA John C. Collins AKA D. B. Cooper. I know I don't go about things the right way -- that I am very difficult to understand because I think everyone knows what I am talking about and they have not been following in my footsteps these last few yrs or so. It is my just my word and I have to go up against a legend no one wants to see come to an end. The battle has been too hard and too long. It leaves me very sad that I cannot finish this for Duane --- I can't get the help that I need and I don't have the money to pursue the right avenues nor the means. With the SE winds and the vexter being rigth there - he landed where I said he did and walked right down that power line and pipeline and right out of their sites. The old shed behind the fire tower has a chute and other things buried there. Insert to up date this old email of 2005 - Now they have found a chute, but will not disclose the location - could the area have had a tower on it in 1971? I also learned on the trip of 2010 that my mind had not compensated for time and space so thing where spread out much further that I thought in 2005. I continue on with my theories in the email - explorations some of which have not been proven and some yet to be proven. I believe in 1962 when Duane was released from the Canon City Prison that they let him out early. The new SS they issued him in MS for John Collins and sent him on to a new life in exchange for his services. He ends up in prison under the new name in 1966 and received a commutation of sentence under that name in 1968 - not under Duane L. Weber. James Earl Ray escaped the first yr Duane was in Jefferson and the wife of the day (1962 to 1972 claimed she knew James Earl Ray's wife ---they called themselves wives even if it was only a common-law union or a girl friend situation). Duane and I made an unusual trip to Memphis in the early 80's and a rifle made an appeared in our home. Later, it was stolen in 1988 along with appliances and boxes of packed, but labeled items (we had just moved) by a man named Richard Owens. The police knew who he was and I personally chased this criminal at a very high rate of speed later. Where were the police then? They never arrested this man for the crime because they couldn't find him - yet I was chasing him on 9 mile road. He has since been in prison for other 'incidents". I will never forget the threat I receivd from T.G. a man Duane introduced me to in 1980. "Duane knew people in high places..." In 1996 I contacted him hoping to learn things about my husband only to be threatened as above. There is no need in repeating the complete statement as it is a matter of public record by now. I basically wrote this 7 yrs ago and I only cleaned up the repetitions and unnecessary words - I will keep on going back into the things I have where I have repeated the same stories over and over...I played with theories but my story has always been the same. I will start with emails of 2000, but I need a few days to dig them out of storage. They are ALL paper - that computer crashed in 2004 and I lost my info - now know how to back up. BUT, I kept 4 yrs of file on paper! 2000 to 2004. 1996 to 2000 is only logs in my planners and I intend to pull those also. All I had was a phone at that time...but, I kept notes in the planners...and I kept copies of letters I wrote to Himmelsbach and others. The decay of the 1980 found bills - you will NOT get a rot pattern like those of the found bills if they had been underwater for years. 2. ANY container the bills had been stored in would NOT have been air tight. This means in the N.W. - moisture will get into the container. It doesn't take much moisture for mold to grow. 8 years is a long time to let mold grow. 3. Mold needs moist air. If the bills were underwater, then it would be different things growing on the bills, not mold. 4. The bills were in bundles and the edges of each bill was damaged and the middle of the bills were preserved. Those bill were buried for sometime before ever making it to the water. Geeze! All I did was warn Jerry that someone was making Grey's book into a comedy for TV and I was unhappy about this. All of you know from a past posts I think it is horrible the publisher is allowing the book Grey wrote to be used to create a comedy. I didn't think he or Himmelsbach would like it either. When you guys first told me about this I tried to accept it and thought it would just go away. Jerry is elated and going on and on about celebrity status - for Heavens Sake - who wants to be made fun of or ridiculed? He thinks it is his opportunity to prove me a liar. Obviously he has not been reading this thread. I guess he is getting what he wanted and has sought from get go...his celebrity status. Jerry supported several suspects as Cooper, but not Duane. He forgets his stories about the Taxi driver and Vickie's dad and the many other suspects he has tooted over the yrs. He is elated! I should have known...he thinks now he has a chance to prove me a liar. His only objective is to prove me a liar. I stated in the thread I would take a polygraph - only if the FBI is paying for it and the FBI also polygraphed the guy and his wife who bought Duane's van. NOT something Jerry is paying for. I sent a copy of that to the FBI - but, doubt they even read it. I also informed him as I have before that a polygraph is not reliable after this many yrs. Whatever! There is no such thing as being nice to people in this world. I thought he would be upset, but instead he is excited and claimed he and I both were celebrities and had to deal with it. BULL CRAP! I am just a woman who has devoted her life to finding the truth about her husband. Again he comes back claiming I said this or that - when he has been corrected before. Claiming I made up the things I found in WA and that I changed my story. Well, in 1996 I had only been to WA one time and that was with Duane Weber in 1979. Again I reminded him I had no maps in the early yrs and had to rely on what he told me existed and did not exist...until 2000. We all know that I went to Wa in 2000 and again on my own in 2010 - I found the lake he claimed did not exist and proved I was not on the OR side until we were going home. I found the bridge we crossed over to WA and went back to the Lake and I found MT he refused to ever acknowlege even when I told about finding it with Bruce in this thread. (the weather was bad and we could not go up it - narrow dirt road and slides). Jerry thinks it is his chance to prove I am a liar and again claiming he has tapes and letters. I wrote one letter making a joke about Brad Pitt and I didn't even know who Brad Pitt was in those days - I was just fed up and it was before I went to WA and proved to myself and others he had been deceiving me about locations - wonder how he plans on explaining that. He is a comedy all by himself...nothing will ever embarass that man. There is a difference between being called a celebrity and being called a liar or making a fool out of ones self. If someone is telling you things - and you have been referred to this person by Himmelsbach - you think you are talking to someone who knows what they are talking about...and I didn't even have a map of the area. Why does this man want me to just go away? What have I ever done to deserve the likes of the condemation I have received since 1996 by Jerry and others. I am tired of the battle, but I can't give up and it is killing me. Just when I have made steps forward - the world falls apart again.....I wish Duane had never ever told me anything. I wish I had never met him or that I had never found out who DAN Coooper was? I have often thought about what might or could have happened had I known who Dan Cooper was. Who was this man I married and why did he choose me? Would he have just got lost like he did with prior wives? He had disappeared before - he could do it again or would he have resorted to other means to stay out of prison? The things I would find out over the next few yrs - San Quentin, Folsom, McNeil, Canon - was scary - but, what if I had known all of that before he died? The people he introduced me to and the people in his life - some of that alone made me fearful and why I stayed low key. Now what? NO look at the photo again and look at the composite and remember Duane was born in 1924 and was 47 yrs old at the time of the jump. Right age and right description. My avatar is one half of the composite and 1/2 of the 1971 photo...and Duane was turned a at slight angle. I copied both the composite and the picture enlarging them to as close as I could get in size in black and white. The face seemed more elongated because the pic of Duane had a slight angle - the only things I penciled in was connecting the hair line of the composite and photo. That is my avatar. The angle made the nose seem a little narrow and the over-all view to seem a little narrow. I printed, cut and pasted them together by hand. Had no idea how to do this on a computer as I have been accused of by one of the poster. I still have all of the printed stuff I did to prove how I created the avatar. They were connected with scotch tape on the back. Best this old lady could manage - I bearly hold my own just doing the posting and the emails. With this junky printer I would never be able to do what I did on the old printer. Yes, Duane did state when he pointed to an area "That's where Cooper walked out of the woods" and I asked how he would know that. This is when he said "Maybe I was the man on the ground". This area was pretty far from the proclaimed landing area by the authorities, but where Cooper actually land....if anyone knows where he landed. When I was younger - and from viewing the maps - the area was clear under the powerlines and over the pipe lines around 1971 and I think I could have walked the area from the China (forgot the name of it) to the area he made this remark. Just how populated the area was and how he remained undetected I do not know. I used this China thing because I know the tower he took me to was West and North of that area. If anyone could ever find out where that damn tower was and what is there now - a lot of questions might be answered. It was the kind of tower they had on privately owned land secured by the lumber companies....it was there in 1971 and gone by 1979. I can tell you the tower had not been gone more than 2 yrs as I was born and raised on a farm and I know how long it takes the undergrowth to fill in. We were still able to drive the caddy back on the dirt path and the undergrowth in the circle was not more than 3/4 feet at any given point in the circle unless it was scrubby trees. I did NOT get out of the car nor did he. We had ample room to turn around and go back to the road on that path (dirt paths with undergrowth in the middle). Obviously someone was still using the road for something...kids, hunters, surveyors....whatever. A set of rails was NOT too far from the circle per what Duane showed and told me. The tower had a light on it you could see it from far away. There used to be logging road in the low spot of the tree that went to a set of rails. It was during this conversation he mentioned the pump cars - and I would now guess he used a pump car until he could see the tower light and knew there would be a road from the rails to the tower. He told me that at one time he hid something behind the shed there...never mentioned what. His face when he was talking about this and the sound of his voice - he was reliving his past. Dumb Dumb me - just didn't have a clue! My trip in 2010 was a learning curve - and one of discovery on the last day. My flight was booked to go home and I was fighting time. It was that last day I went to the Amboy area and realilzed I had actually been there but he took a route home I did not have time to find. I remembered he pointed out the Farguer Airstrip and told me about another airstrip further north. Now I know that the woman in Biggd and the Farguer Airstrip was connected. I do not have access to what I need to find this. She was either married to a Farguer or was related. Her nephew was also connected to Duane Weber, but How I do not know. You are right and I thought the same thing because in photos dated later he appears younger. I have not pulled the original of the photo and if my memory serves me right there was NO date on it. I do know Duane dyed his hair and the wife of the 60's and early 70's admitted to having dyed his hair for him. It was 1972 that he stopped dying his hair and let the Gray take over. That pic could have been made in 1977, but I really do NOT know. The woman beside him is NOT me. I do know he went to visit the woman in the photo in 1977 because I am the one who put him on the plane. BUT, the pics I made Christmas eve of 1977 do not look that old. The location may not be correct either as it could be CA 1977. You will note his physical body did NOT have an extended mid-section as photos taken during the 80's indicate. I am posting one photo that has 1971 on it and know this is how he looked at that time....so you are right - that date must to be wrong on the one I labeled 1970 Columbia. I am placing the two cropped photos side by side. Thank you for bringing this to my attention - I am going to the safe and pull the orginal. If there is a date in the margin that should help. The woman who sent me this of course had no knowledge I was the one who put him on the plane in 1977. What is more puzzling is the first photos I ever took of Duane - Christmas of 1977 - he definitely doesn't look as old as he does in the pic we are discussing. Why in the HELL do I do this. NO one is listening and NO one cares, but me. No ONE on this THREAD cares and NO one here can do a damn thing about any of it. The general public does not read this thread and the young people do not even know who Cooper was. The FBI is a bunch of idiots. I keep hoping beyond all hope that somewhere some place someone is listening and reading....that somewhere there is someone with that final clue - one the FBI will listen to. Grey wants to make morons out of everyone by letting a comedy be done out of his book - over my dead body! He made me look bad enough in his book (like a low class slut out to pick up a man in a bar) and now he wants me a laughing stock with a TV comedy. Is that what 35 yrs of my life is worth - a laugh at the expense of myself and my family and then there are other individuals who have given the Cooper thing large chunks of their lives - that is something to LAUGH about! NO one who was interviewed for Grey's book expected a comedy or we would never have granted the interview in the first place. As I said OVER my DEAD BODY! If I have to sell my house and live in poverty to fight. My character nor a fictious character who even resembles me and anything about Duane WEBER is off limits....I am not doing this for laughs - I did NOT invest 17 yrs of my life and divulge a 17 yrs marriage to Duane for someone to make all of this a laughing stock matter. I shared things with Larry Carr never shared with his office: Duane Weber was arrested Nov 25, 1944 for forgery of U.S. Treasury. He was young and had been kicked out of both the Navy and the Army. He violated the condition of his release from jail by fleeing to Illinois. He committed petit larceny in Ill and sentenced to the county jail. They found a warrant on him from CA and ship him back to San Francisco. This was Jan 8, 1945. On Jan 23, 1945 he is sentenced to 18 months at McNeil and received on Feb 2, 1945 - but he was born in 1924 and not 1920 as his ID as the courts had him recorded. They list his age as 24. He is only 19 yrs old & in federal prison. FAMILY FRIENDS intervened & Duane was release to a special program within wks, yet the FBI in 2000 claimed Weber was never in McNeil. Duh! and the McNeil file is what Carr yrs later claimed as a reference point for Weber's fingerprints. Does the left hand know what the right hand is doing or what it was intended to for? It is stated he was eligible for parole in July 22 1945 and then he appears in CA in Aug of 1945 at a camp in the mts near his parents. I know he was in the Placerville area and near Tahoe. Duane mentioned "they" the guys lived on Seventeenth or Eighteenth Rd in a small town between Tahoe and Placerville. Duane Weber around 1984/85 showed me this same photo in a book that I later found on line and was again directed to by Snowmman. This was a picture of Leo Harder, Melvin Flickenger and Karl Unruh at a CPS's camp. The camp was in the same area Duane had shown me and told me about in 1979 when we made the side trip to Tahoe after we leave Seattle in 1979. I traced the photo before it was ever on the thread. All I got was dead ends. Leo Harder was already deceased and I could not trace Max Miller or Melvin (Marvin) Duerkson (Doerksen). Snowmman saw what I saw or knew what I knew - one man did NOT exist and the families told me their Uncle never was in CA. Photo recognition indicates the boy in the Camino Camp and the Navy Photo of Weber are one and the same. All Carr did with this was pitch it. (I sent him hard high quality photos). I still remember the day Snowmman put these pictures on the thread - the same picture I had in my file for a CPS site (one I had been shown by Duane yrs and yrs before)...but in a book not on the computer. Duane showed me a book with the pic of the 5 guys in approx 1984 and stated 3 of them went on to Mt. Hood...and stating there was a pic of him in that book, but someone had cut it out. At that time I thought one of the guys resembled Weber, but I had NEVER seen a photo of Duane as a young man until 1996 or 1997 - after his death the brother and sister sent me what I have. I believe the photos from the camp posted below are actually Weber - he only stated to me there was a photo of him in the book, but someone had torn out. I have never found the actual book the pictures appeared in...but, the resemblance and photo studies are enough for me until proven wrong. The foreman was Joe Bauman. They housed paroled individuals also to help them get back in to the world with a trade - Duane was trained in forestry. The picture Duane showed me was NOT exactly like the pic displayed, because the one Duane showed me had just a little more of the truck in it. I remembered this because I quizzed Duane about the truck. The FBI ignored me before and I dumped it on Carr but, he ignored it...I seriously doubt Carr showed those pics to a photo recognition expert along with young photos of Weber or tried to fine the source of the book it was orginally published in. When Duane showed me the pic in an old book in the mid 80's he mentioned singing in a choir, but the only time he was in a church with me was when we got married. After thought - maybe he didn't mean a choir in a church. Himmelsbach or someone went over the head of the Seattle case manager regarding Cooper in 1980. Who had jurisdiction - Seattle or Portland? The find was in Vancouver? Who went to the media about the find and why was the Seattle office not made aware of the find before it hit the media? I believe Georger replied with the answer below: "The senior Vancouver agent was very competent and informed - had actually studied the Cooper case. Vancouver was a small two person office and the agent in charge there was long tenured. Portland stepped in immediately to assist and did the initial interviewing and locked the scene down at Tina Bar. Seattle agents were dispatched also. By February 14th (if not sooner) everything was being managed out of the Seattle office. It was the Seattle office who technically managed the excavation at Tina Bar and all evidence collected." WHEW! Mind is going crazy tonight: Remember the article in the U.S. News and World report dated in 2000 about Duane leaving prints on the aft stairs? For some reason writing about the money find my mind to drifted to the judge who told Galen Cook that Gossett came to him with information about leaving prints on the plane long after the article appeared in the US News and World Reports. Duane had the nightmare and screamed out "I left my prints on the AFT stairs" - before July of 1978 while we were still living in Littleton CO. I didn't know AFT stairs was about planes (he said it was something from jail). I didn't know he had been in jail but, he explained it away as to having got in some trouble with a couple of guy and I assumed county lock-up for a few wks. For some reason as I re-live my past with Duane along with my subsequent involvement in this case thru this thread and others, I realize how much others have used me and incorporated the things I have told the media and the FBI into "their" story. Galen Cook's story regarding Gossett's claim of leaving prints on the plane to a judge - was AFTER he read about Duane's dream in a 2000 magazine article by Doug Pasternak. A fact I had told Doug - 2 or 3 yrs before 2000 - it took the FBI lieing to me and almost 3 yrs to get me to go public. I told him the same story I had been telling the FBI since 1996 - so the FBI should have records of this "dream" story. You guys accuse me of making things up - My story about Duane was made public in 2000 long before Cook's story about Gossett consulting a judge about leaving prints on the plane. Which came first the horse or the wagon. In this case the horse was Jo Weber telling her story about Duane Weber. REMEMBER this - I was talking to Doug for 2 yrs before I allowed him to do the article - had the FBI not have lied to me about McNeil and the army records - NO ONE would ever have heard about Duane Weber or the puzzle he left behind. WHY does Cook's story mirror the story I told to Doug a couple of yrs BEFORE I decided to go public in 2000? Also the SAME story I told to the FBI and Himmelsbach? If this look back does not leave some questions in the mind those genuinely trying to find the truth - then I don't know what will. I know I do not win brownie points saying the FBI lied to me, but I tired of hearing the things I told them had been ignored...and the next agent would have NO knowledge of what I had discussed with the prior agent or another agent I spoke to on the phone. P.S. Cooks suspect came to him by way of Gossett's son after Cook spoke on Coast to Coast about his search for Cooper. Now I will applaud myself since NO one else is going to do so. I hate the FBI and the HELL they have put me thru for 17 yrs with their hush hush and multiple suspects and what seems to be a contrived dismissal - when the only logical suspect in 40 yrs has been Duane Lorin Weber. Seems like we are all in agreement except for a certain 'someone' - there was only one NOTE and Cooper retrived that note. Therefore NO way the FBI can do a handwriting analysis like "MORE than ONE someone" thinks can be done. The letters sent to the media are null and void, unless someone can produce handwriting/printing samples dated from 1971 from a suspect that matches any of the letters sent to the media. I nor anyone who has looked at handwritten items I have from Duane Weber found NO matches to any of the supposed notes sent to the media by Cooper. We found only similarities in the formation of some letters printed on an envelope sent to the Reno Newpaper...not enough to do anything with. Anyone putting their faith of solving this case on those letters is very slim. Perhaps DNA could be extracted from the envelopes and the letters themselves, but the FBI has not acknowledged to the public this was never done - not to my knowledge. I suggest if the FBI did so, they would also need familial DNA from other individuals who may have had knowledge of the deed after the fact. The handwriting samples I have of another individual who could have been involved after the fact - are written with no printing...so I never went any further with that exploration. Note I am not a handwriting expert...that is a given. What I and others did find was the sytac used by letters supposedly written by Clara and Cooper in Max's book do match other letters written at a much later day by Weber and his companion of the days. Georger the thread needs your help: Can you help this thread get back to facts and dispell some of the myths created by posters on this thread - myths about the actual recorded fact as the crime took place. Georger you have become the official FACT Keeper. I understand ony ONE note was written by Cooper and then handed to the Stewardess. I understood Cooper retrived that handwritten note. Is that correct? Cooper's demand were taken by Tina and written by Tina. Is that correct? These demand where made verbally by Cooper and written by Tina. Is this correct? These kind of things are trivial, but seem to be the very things another poster dwells on and uses such posts to incriminate one of the crew. One individual has tried multiple times to change the FACTS of the crime itself and incriminate innocent individuals in the process. I thought it was clearly stated that Tina took notes regarding Cooper's demands in her own handwriting. If any notes written by Cooper had survived - finding Cooper would be a piece of cake with today's technology. Am I correct? No you are not the only one to do this. Yours are just harder for me to figure out...and I have to ask. It happened really bad with another poster - until I started to repeat the posts with he said and she said to prove I didn't make the statement I was being accused of. Sorry if you are offended by a simple question for clarification.. You guys are getting awfully touchy lately. Computers and the use of certain programs are still very difficult for me. Georger was pleasantly surprised when I actually figured out how to scan a photo and put it on the site. Little did he know HOW long it took me to figure that out and how long it took me. I asked the question because too many times it has come down to things like this - where later if it is quoted again - NO one knew who said what. What is with you the last couple of days? I have been here for several yrs - since 2006. I told the newbie what we tell all of the newbies - read the thread! The subject is by far too convoluted to expect to update them with a post as that causes a lot of repetitions and loss of time. If you can PROVE there was NO chance Duane was Cooper - do it NOW. Show us the proof. Unless you are FBI you have NO access. So you just got out of bed on the wrong side this morning. If you are a lurking FBI agent or making a claim! Show me the proof. The FBI has NEVER shown me anything other than what Carr posted on this thread and he couldn't prove what he posted. D. B. Cooper's actual name has never appeared on this thread and never will until his bones are located. You can take that statement to the bank. Personally, I don't remember ever seeing a single post from Cook on this thread unless he has done so through a ringer. Gossett has reportedly been checked out by the FBI and was in Nepal at the time of the hijacking. Gossett has reportedly had a very eventful life but no one has come up with a single thing to suggest that he is D. B. Cooper. The principal advocate for Gossett as Cooper apparently is a Seattle area resident that claims Gossett stiffed his family out of ten bucks or so back in the 1950/1960 era when he didn't pay the monthly rent for a basement room that he was renting from them. To summarize, anyone who advances a name on this thread claiming that person is Cooper is full of it. That includes our dearly beloved Jo Weber, who may or may not know what she is talking about, Bob Knoss, who definitely does NOT know what he is talking about, and lesser luminaries. Finally, there is no evidence whatsoever to even suggest that Cooper survived the parachute jump. In all probability, Cooper was on the ground and dead within 60 seconds of leaving the airliner.

Posters have changed over the yrs and the 'Theories' and explorations are multiple - YOU WILL HAVE TO READ. There was another thread, but it crashed and Quade (the moderator) created this one. It is in history and trivia because I begged him to not put in a category that attracted young individuals seeking intertainment and a place to jump off. I came here to talk to jumpers from the old days and that is how this thread came to be. Other posters on the forum were NOT happy this thread was in History and Trivia, but obviously they have come to accept it. If we TRY to even repeat any portion of this story - with the change-over of posters you just would NOT get it and different posters are slanted in different directions. I am gathering you are referring to the plane ticket. I did NOT see that until a yr before he died 1994 when he broke his leg, I cleaned out a box of records dated 1990. I have told the story many times about dumping the box on the bed and continueing to sort thru it over his objections. All of the other taxes had been sorted and filed - but that box had never been reduced to a file and he kept it in his bedroom closet. This sorting happened - around February of 1994 (if I check his medical records I would know the closest date). I recently obtained a copy of his intakes and outakes along with the facility used in the hospital, but no detailed records. This would be when I found the flight ticket....dated 1971 - Novemeber 24 and enquired about the old ticket. He stated "Used to mean something, but doesn't now". Before he was going to sleep he asked me what I did with that ticket. He seemed anxious so I went out to the garage and tried to find the ticket - in a throw away bag. I had NOT taken the junk to the garbage - just sat it in the garage. I let him know I could NOT find it and it must be in the box. He said ok - and he would get it tomorrow. I assured him he could check the throw away bag since it was all in a separate bag. His leg is still in a soft cast and he is using a walker, but a few days later I am putting his clothes away as I aways did. He interupts me and said - just lay them on the bed he would do it later. Well, I just went about doing what I usually did (he had never offered to put his clothes away before) and low and behold in that top drawer with his shorts and tee shirts was that ticket. I commented on it at the time, but I never saw that ticket again. Note: You may be referring to the ticket stub that read SEA TAC. That was in 1990. It was laying on his desk during the separation time - after his mysterious trip (remember I knew nothing of the mysterious trip at that time and not until the FBI had investigated and Jim related the story he did to me and I informed the FBI). I asked what Sea Tac was and he told me it used to be important, but didn't mean anything anymore. Things I repeated the first yrs with the FBI maybe more accurate as at this time (16 yrs later) and on this day - I do NOT remember if he told me Sea Tac was an airport in Seattle. I do have copies of earlier discussions on this matter that could be referred to for a more accurate accounting. Remember I am 72 and I have had 3 surgeries since May of 2011 so my mind and memory is NOT as sharp as it was. Before I left he asked me what I did with the ticket STUB and I told him I put it in the trash as he told me. This made me curious - Why tell me to throw it away and then ask me where I put it? SO I went back to the shop after he left for treatment and look in the trash basket - the TICKET STUB was GONE. Due to the circumstances at the time - (his starting the machine and during a time we are living separate for a few wks), I did NOT dare ask many question. I just did NOTHING to rock the BOAT...and let things go. I accepted only what he willing told me at that time and after he moved back to the house - even then I was very careful...asking questions about Jefferson. I hope this answers your question and clarifies the story between the Ticket Stub in 1990 and the actual Plane Ticket in 1994. Perhaps no AGENT has done or even thought of what I am about to propose. If the FBI notes sent to WA regarding the interviews at Jefferson in 1966-1971 NO longer exist or are buried within the files, what about obtaining a list of prisoners from 1966 to 1968. Use that list to see if a name comes up in the Cooper file as an individual who gave a testimony to an agent regarding knowing who Cooper was. Surely such a list does exist and is available. Perhaps the FBI needs to enlist the aid of the Missouri prison records. It has been 41 yrs since the testimony was taken - and the individual would probably be dead - but, WHAT IF? I know I approached someone with the FBI with this idea or a similar idea - I believe it was agent Carr, but it might have been a couple of agents prior to that. If they had done this 16 yrs ago there was a chance the man was still alive and I find it hard to believe they did NOT file or record all of the calls they receive from individuals claiming they knew who Cooper was. In 1990 I found out about Jefferson because Duane got "Stupid" obtaining the John Collins drivers license. We separated for a brief period of time - to give him time to cool off about being arrested and to adjust to the kidney machine. This was at the suggestion of the Dr after Duane was arrested. I tried hard NOT to rock the boat about somethings. He was very angry and I tried to understand and did as the Dr. asked me and gave Duane time and space. It was the only time in our marriage we were separated and I worried because he was on the machine. After he came back home I asked him about Jefferson and what it was like in a prison. Remember Duane's only safety shield from being found out was keeping me ignorant of his past, but he did answer questions I had regarding his being in Jefferson....this was within a couple of wks to a month after he brought the travel trailer back to the house and was ready to come home "if I would have him" - his words. This is how I know there were discussions about the "BIG ONE". Duane's wording. He did say more, but I hesitate to even post any of it for fear of being ridiculed. I discussed this with Himmelsbach, but never knew if he relayed our discussions to the FBI. I will tell you very specifically Duane knew James Earl Ray ( the wife from 1966 was aware of this and I recorded part of a conversation about it). Duane also mentioned a writer. His name was J.J. Maloney. I tried to find him after contacting the FBI and after talking to the wife (long after the FBI interviewed her). I found Maloney 3 months after he died. Regarding subject matter in the prison Duane told me they talked about pulling "The Big One". Even mentioned Hijacking a plane (remember that in 1990 D.B. Cooper was just not part of my world therefore discussions of this nature meant absolutely iota to me). He spoke of pilots and veterans in the prison system - the hows and ways to commit this BIG one. Prior to the above discussion with Duane and his coming home: Two wks before he came home he brought Symba (one of our dogs home) and asked if he could leave him at the house because "Symba" was missing Sassy (my dog). It was days before he and his friend went to Tallahassee for a market. A market I would learn later (around 2000) Duane left the friend incharge of and did NOT get back until Sat afternoon. After Duane was back home I found a plane ticket purchased on my credit card and he said it wasn't his, but after I had this "fradulent" charge taken off it was put back on and then off again - he just threw some money on the table and told me to pay it - "it wasn't that much". Since he was always doing things for people I figured maybe he flew someone to the location - to help them out, but later learned after his death that the person who used that ticket had to have been Duane L. Weber. By the time I learned this - the charge was no longer available to research and I had no paper work - just my memory, but I know the credit card and number of the account. No records are available that far back. Jim (his friend) told me Duane left him incharge of the market on Thursday and said he would be back Friday afternoon - it would be Sat afternoon before he got back to Tallahassee. This ticket was for that time frame and it was one way. The date co-incided with the Tallahasse trip. I told the FBI about this, but to my knowledge they did not go back to interview Jim as this was after their 1998 letter of dismissal. This short separation and his trip was during a stressful time for him - his recognition that he was going to have to depend on a machine if he wanted to live and the fact that he was probably going to be found out. I still do NOT know how or why the law missed the fact he was an ex-con and the name he was trying to get a drivers license under was an AKA . Nothing U post is worth repeating so I will refrain from that. You have made a mockery out of everything I have accomplished in the last few yrs and you never knew Duane Weber - if you did at least prove that. I have never found anything in Duane's background that supports your ridiculous fabrications. Sorry - NO Bananas from me and PLEASE refrain from mentioning me in any post you make. THIS IS the SAME GARBAGE this man BARAGED the FBI with regarding Weber. What FBI agent in his right mind would continue to investigate a subject with BK constantly feeding GARBAGE to them? Now Do you GUYS understand what the FBI and MYSELF have put up with. BK has been a thorn in my side for over 13 yrs now - maybe longer (I do not even bother to pull the HARD copies I made OF EVERYTHING he sent to me prior to 2005....it is ALL this same kind of Gobbely Gook). He thinks everyone is the enemy and creates such a commotion any place Cooper is discussed that it shuts down ALL productive efforts. It is a form of STALKING! Some of you do NOT think too highly of my opinions, but they are based on what I know about Weber and having lived with the man for 17 yrs - plus. NO one on this earth has spent as much time as I did with WEBER - not even his mother (he left home at 16). His only relationship with anyone else was capped at 5 yrs by Jefferson (coupled with lots of alcohol) and then topped off 16 months later with 2 more yrs that did a lot of damage to individuals he capitivated with his "charm" - whatever one might call it. This battle I fight is not just for me, but "others" whose innocent lives Duane damaged and in one case destroyed. I have NO idea how many fatalities he left in his wake. In 1971 - he realized he had really screwed up big time - harm had come to "others" not by his hand, but by how he lived his life. My heart breaks with this knowledge and things I can never discuss. He was a failure as a man and provider and father and husband and protector. His life caught up with him - he did NOT think he would survive that jump. Frankly I believe he did NOT expect to have to make the jump. Remember the crew talked about how Giddy he became after the money was delivered - that is because he did NOT expect it. He expected the plane to be charged and he would be killed. He was going to GO out doing the BIG one just like he and the guys in Jefferson talked about. I suggest anyone serious about Cooper might want to know who Webers "Roomies" were in Jefferson. This is where the Skyjacking Scheme was HATCHED! It was all talk, but when Duane learned he had inherited his mother's kidney problem - he felt he had NOTHING to loose. I have said this since GET go (to the FBI, Himmelsbach and many others) because I lived with this man for over 17yrs and he talked about things - but nothing specific until those last 5 yrs. The pieces of the puzzle are all there - no one really wants this case solved. This is what fires the conspiracy theories. If the FBI went back to the case file of interviews made at Jefferson after the crime - they will find Duane Weber and John Collins listed as a suspect. You see someone "slipped-up" and mentioned Jefferson yrs and yrs ago to me and then backed up and claimed that leads came from several prisons. Jefferson was the FIRST. Did the FBI agent who went to interview these guys - make notes - what happened to those files? Answer: Same thing that happened with me! The agent who goes out is in that state and not a WA State FBI agent who is on top of the case. He is just a note taker and sends his report to his superior, who then sent it to WA. The FBI missed Cooper because of this. I will go so far as to say - if the FBI digs up the old Jefferson interviews (or Jefferson connected interviews) - I will put money on it that the snitch knew John Collins or Duane Weber from that prison...he may only have known him by a number, just one of the prisoners who stood in the yard talking about how to pull the Big One.Little stories Duane told after 1990 when he went on the kidney machine - all added up. He wanted to talk about his life, but I brushed him off by saying "I already know you spent time in Jefferson" - it was part of his past I did NOT want to know and if my family ever found out they would have disowned me in those days. Remember when he was arrested in 1990 trying to obtain the John Collins ID (which he successfully did OBTAIN by the way), he had to reveal to me he had been in prison. He just told me about Jefferson - he didn't tell me about San Quentin, Folsom, McNeil and Canon. If anyone is reading this you just learned something new - I don't talk about somethings, but at this stage of my life - oh what the hell! WHY not! No one believes a word I say anyway so why NOT! CLARIFICATION OF THE STATEMENT BELOW: "If the FBI knocked on my door asking about a crime I had knowledge of after the fact but concealed - I would have been scared to death - they would lock me up and/or I would have to use everything I owned to defend myself and stay out of prison. Elderly people keep LOTS of secrets - NOT everyone has lived a PERFECT life." I realized this evening that this statement would and could be misunderstood by others to think it was myself concealing things. Most of you have to ask yourselves this question. If you had knowledge of a crime after the fact in 1971 and knew some of the monies had been spent on you - what would you do? Would you have sought counsel from someone you personally knew and could trust within law enforcement (such as a relative) as to the position you might find yourself in. You would probably have been told you could be prosecuted as an accessory after the fact. Fear, love and responsibilities govern decisions under dire consequences. This is just a senario so you can understand how and why someone might conceal a crime. A crime you did not commit, but had knowledge of. I have NOT stated this crime had anything to do with D.B.Cooper. This is a senario presented to me yrs ago...the subject was not about Cooper.
