Maybe I should takea certain individuals up on their movie offers - and make the FBI look REALLY REALLY bad with a MOVIE! YOU think? Hell, I would be dead by the time it was done - and if I let the individuals do it who approached me several yrs ago - it would develope Duane Weber as a Covert CIA and heaven only knows what. The movie would probably make a HERO out of Weber. That is NOT what this world needs right now! The image they wanted to portray is exactly why I did NOT sign on the dotted line. If they were going to do the story - it had to be the truth (but, of course) NO ONE knows the TRUTH...and I refused to let them use me and Weber for exploitation. The OFFERs were yrs ago. YOU see there is a lot to JO WEBER you guys know nothing about. How many of you would have refused to sign such a contract? If it was about the money I would be in high cotton right now, but for me it has always been the truth! You can bet anything I might have signed had stipulations and protected my rights. See what I mean - I don't tell you guys everything. NOW, I have the feeling of urgency to finish this....and SOON! So if they still want to do the movie I am game...they can go ahead and finish the damn script! I am tired of HOLDING out for the FBI to finish their job. OPTION contracts are a dime a dozen and anyone who has done a Cooper book has been offered an Option. Anyone associated with any high profile crime is approached with an Option Contract. I had more than one Option Contract offer, but I refused them. Option contract can hang round for ys - they are JUST encase contracts! A script in most cases is NOT written in connection with an option contract... Wonder how many - you (Blevins) and Gray turned down Option Contracts? Bet you a dollar - Marla signed an option contract and I know that the guy who wrote the other Cooper book prior to yours signed one. (Can't remember the man's name of the title of his book right now). The one you guys know little about: A movie about Coffet was actually in production according to Mr. S.(the writer) when BLACK vehicles showed up on the 5th day of production, dramatically telling them - not to move forward because it was "A matter of National Security". I have never decided if this man was full of malarky or not - so much of his story was very very close to what I knew...so I never shunned this man or dissed him. I just listened and we have had a lot of interesting conversations over the yrs. He is getting up in age like myself (I have not spoke with him in a long long time so he too may be deceased). Perhaps my story like the one he tried to tell will forever be buried within the muck of the bureacy and what I like to call a "staged" investigation of Cooper by the FBI.. Everything the FBI has done regarding Cooper appears to have been staged including the FIASCO with Marla! DID the FBI actually think they could "sell" her Uncle to the public! Evidently the FBI was unaware of the Cooper Sleuths and researchers that frequent this thread and the Cooper savy individuals who follow this case. In 1996 I gave the FBI names and last known locations and employer if I had it. I revealed all I knew about the individuals from Duane's past. I find out YRS later they NEVER spoke to any of these people. ALL are deceased now - what is left is a few work associates. The FBI did NOT investigate certain individuals because I am sure their records indicated a HANDS OFF on a couple of them. There was NO excuse in their NOT finding Ed Horan - NONE what-so-ever! I told them this man was Duane's connection to WA. Sadly - Ed was deceased in 2000 when I found the FBI had done NOTHING! Absolutely nothing! I knew from his prior heath in 1968 he would in all probablitlity have been deceased by 2000. So I have been chasing Ghost ever since. It MAKES NO DIFFERENCE what I provide the FBI - it automatically goes to file 13. I informed the FBI of others individuals I was aware of, also. I GAVE the FBI what I had when they interviewed me in 1996. They made copies. Then when THEY didn't do anything BUT I did NOT know THIS until Mar of 2000. NOTE: The FBI never ever expected me to go public! All it took was ONE jerk of an agent who was supposedly the agent of record - acknowledging they knew absolutely nothing about Weber and what little they did was all screwed up. They did NOT investigate things in real time. The FBI did NOT check-out the individuals I told them about - Tommy, Tony, a man in Ft. Lauderdale, Horan and the list goes on. They contacted a former employer who did NOT want to admit they hired Ex-cons - KNOWINGLY! The other employer which I think knowingly hired ex-cons - they didn't contact either (this company was involved in politics and with Unions and Presidents of the US) with most of this activities in the 60's. The did NOT check out Ed Horan at all. Find his background and you find Duane's background in WA and ID! The most important information I provided them with they didn't check. If they did they would have found he was "ghost" - a man with no past just like Duane Weber's missing yrs and the other yrs the FBI did NOT explore - NOT at all. Now any explorations done on many of the individuals in Duane's life amounts to digging up graves. In 1996 most of them were still alive. I sent a picture of Ed to someone who knew him pretty good - even went to his funeral. I posted the Anglin pic and a pic of Ed. I did NOT mention the younger person was some one else. They Made NO COMMENT other than I had included a pic of Ed. NO mention of the Anglin pic - I just threw it into a photo album of pics of Duane and Ed and myself with Duane and with my last husband. I did NOT tell them about Cooper and I did not mention WHY I put this pic of what should be a perfect stranger into the mix. The man has been in the hospital so they may not have had the opportunity to view the photos in their entirety. Someone mentioned hiring someone to do the background and that is ridiculous. Can anyone even imagine what it would cost to have someone find only what I and others have found. They would have to dig up graves - chasing ghosts of the past. In 1996 many of the individuals were still alive. By the way 377 - when I started this in 1996 I was not in bad health - I did have a serious auto accident in 2000 and that started the decline. Some of what I deal with now is a result of the limits on my activites and things that just do not show up for a few yrs and other things that are part of the aging process. I renewed my drivers license today and when you see a picture of yourself - it is not what you see in the mirror. So little time and so much to do! I didn't realized I had gotten SO OLD and that I look SO BAD!. I am fighting hard very hard to finish this - and I am screaming and no one hears me. I can't do what the FBI could do with the flick of their wrist and their fingers with all of the SHIT they have accessible to them. NO one hears! NO one really listens! Pretty good for a guy with a dry sense of humor! Been a busy day here! Going here and going there and SO many phone calls. Between Doctors, the State of Fl ID law, long distance research calls (thank Heavens for unlimited long distance), the thread, old friends and apprehending a very large Feral Cat. The feral cat was after the sardines and animal rescue picked him up with-in an hour. That was one LARGE cat! He was feral and not someone's pet. When the Animal control got here she immediately put on very heavy gloves and released him from my trap to her smaller trap. Then she handed me 2 cans of CAT food. She told me cat food catches MORE armadillos than sardines or bananas or apples & it is cheaper. Birds have set the traps off - but, escape capture - then they have Squalking sesson sitting on the fence talking & complaining about it. They do fret! I SWEAR those birds and the posters on the thread really get their feathers ruffled over a little tidbit of information or morsel of food. 377 So what are you saying here? Do you mean the sole plate imbedded into the persimmon wood. The plate looks like brass, but no way it is brass because you know how brass discolors - this still looks like dark yellow gold and the threading - or wrapping of the head onto the shaft is a fine wrap of a darker gold. They look like brand new even today. No discoloration at all. They are beautiful woods. I have no idea what I have or what you are quoting in the post. I do NOT even know how to find out what they are made of. You do know a famous golfer lives in my area. He had a concert over at the club to raise money for his cause....no one slept till 3 AM for 2 days. They managed to get the noise ordiance lifted for the benefit. If anyone is able to do some research on names. I have a little project for you. Will disclose this only to some one who has fast searchers and knows how to check backgrounds. We trace this man's history and we find Duane's history! What NO one ever wanted me to KNOW! Well it is the answer to the past of Weber be it good or bad for my cause. Any information you send has to be kept between the person and I until I have time to check and verify the information. This could be a DEAL breaker either way! It could be part of history. I do not know and I have had NO luck with my limited abililties and my stupid online service. You need to have some genealogy background and able to do the searches. Evidently he made other types of clubs with different metals. The tie did NOT have to be exposed to the manufacture, but to some one using the metal in his craft. This was an article quoted by Blevins and I have made bold and highlighted ONE thing that STANDS OUT - Loud and Clear. So glad I never ever sold that set of Clubs Duane got on a special trip to Vail or Aspen. He made me sit in the car when he went into the shop. If you guys will check back on a post I made yrs ago - I mentioned these Golf Clubs - now do not remember were we went. They were Custom Made for Duane by someone he used to know! He did NOT allow me to go with him into the shop and since that was all we were doing at that time - I stayed in the car. Golf Clubs! How interesting that Blevins brought this up. I think we discussed it before. Were in the world would someone wear a tie while working with metal other than in a HIGH END RESORT and making clubs for the elite...even if he removed the tie - the remanents would be all over it? Normally someone working with that kind of equipment DOES not wear a tie. If he took it off and on - and if the shop catered to HIGH END. If he made the Clubs right there - when measuring the height of the person and their stance! I do not remember the time frame of the trip - since I took no pictures - I do not remember. The trip was specifically to go deliver something to a friend and he returned with the clubs. WE parked across the street. The major problem with what has been presented on the thread has been seeing it drowned in the gobbly gook which all of us are quilty of having contributed to. It would be nice if all of the postings would stay on one subject allowing it to be fully understood - pros and cons. Understood that this WAS discussed at a later date, but there was so much intervention and bantering - that there is no longer a concize statement or presentation about the research done on the money. Questions asked and Questions answered are lost withing the Gobbly gook of myself and others. Ideas and opinions where bouncing off the wall in the thread and the facts of the study were buried beneath all of that. Of course myself and others came to defend "our cause" and that did not help. I just want to see the thread become the GO TO site for studies about the actual crime and a reliable place everyone can go explore this old crime. I am trying to turn this thread around and I wish others would follow suit instead of attacking and tearing everyone down and promoting there own cause. In elementary terms - explain the 3 types of silver that was "suspect" and how it could have got there. 1. Did the test comfirm 3 types, 2 types or only one type of silver? 2. Was it ever confirmed how the silver got on the money? I have yet to read (in all of the confusion) exactly what YOU and others DID find on that money. It is my belief that others also never got a clear picture about the 'silver'. The stories were going ever which way! Therefore would you please address the silver again - NOW that things are more civil and not so disruptive. What could have been the possible reasons for the silver content? Georger I believe once the negative elements of the thread have been told to stand down that there can actually be some progress made. The silver suspect was NOT discussed on an elementary level so individuals like myself could absorb it. Sometimes you intellectual types forget that those of us on a lower level or in other fields just do not grasp the explanations. A spring runs behind my house and I am on one the highest locations in my area. I am supposed to have LAKE view, and I will assure you I can hardly see the lake because of the overgrowth in the creek and that creek may pose a problem with my insurance this yr. Spent all of SAT with guys setting up traps - Armadillos. I got a family of them back there and they were digging up against the house. That can spell big trouble with the Fla sand and septic tank lines. One of the traps was moved when I went out this morning. They are baited with bananas and apples. That sucker had gotten the Banana without going into the trap. The peels were still inside and in the wire of the cage. The trap was still open so he was REAL gentle. It could have been a racoon - because I could NOT imagine an armadillo being able to get its snout into the small holes of the traps. The peel was really liquidy and the banana was just sucked out of it. Better than his digging up the roots of my grass. That was my understanding also - then there are individuals who claimed he had access to ALL of the records....very unlikely the FBI allowed him full access. Gray did tell me a little story about his ventures in the files. It was told to me in confidence and I try never to let the people down. I have a feeling he probably told someone else - so if they breach the confidence it would not be me. I liked the kid. He ordered fried pickles - it was huge (it was just ONE of his side orders). He has a huge appetite. He ate enough for 2 large adults. It had been a long time since I had seen anyone put that much away. Oysters were in season and the next day he told me he went back and got another order that same night after dropping me at my home. My favorite place is closed and there is not a really good seafood place here anymore. I watched Geoffrey Gray put away a LOT of food and then 2 hours later he goes back! WOW! He thought it was interesting - it really bugged him when he read it. He was like kid with a candy bar. Whatever Coogie wants Coogie gets! Quit acting like a neglected 8 yr old child whose only outlet is his classroom and where he makes himself the center of attention. Your post was really logical because the thread went to extremes (including myself) that were not productive. Then throw in some of the writers who are into "Cooper" for monetary and/or personal recognition and any discussion anyone attempts becomes - well....not sure I have a word for it (my vocabulary is not THAT broad). ALL of the bickering needs to stop - PLEASE STOP. All the two of you are doing is getting the THREAD LOCKED. If no one has a source to go to talk about Cooper - then Blevins WINS! We all KNOW that if someone called the FBI and said they knew who Cooper was - the FBI would NEVER reveal it.
