Georger explain that statement in more detail - please! I read Tosaw's book but it has been a long time - perhaps I should dig it out and study it some more. Unfortunatelyr Robert99 didn't care about my idea about the Senior Centers. It worked before and I have a feeling there are a lot of seniors out there with pictures of the stormdthat are interest. It could just be a photographic accounting of past storms and the experience of those who had to deal with them. Definitely feel something might come of this - pictures may surface and be exposed that NO one ever connected to Cooper's money. \ 1.Was there a flood of any kind after Sept 1979 when I was out there. 2. How man floods from November 24 1971 and February 1980. 3. Does anyone have pictures made during this span of time of Tena's bar and other popular water front areas from the Bonneville Dam to Tena's Bar. Just used Bonneville Dam as a starting place - not that I think it has anything to do with Cooper. Would love to see pictures of the site across from the PDX in 1971 versus how it was in 1979 and then 2001. I know but I think people need to see pic so they realized the changes and the things I told about the site are going to be dead on with the pics. Nothing there in 1979 other than a steep bank down to the river. In 1971 - there may have been a house there if what Duane said in 1979 meant anything. He used to know the man who owned it - who owned it? In 2001 there was 3 new homes there on the water and Winterly park had been completed. There could be another property just EAST of the property that borders Winterly...that may have been the site. I want to know the history and building permits and who owned interest in these properties from 1950 to 2001. Bet one would find a name there we might ALL be familiar with. I couldn't afford to have the property records searched for prior owners and couldn't find a real estate agent to take it on. If it was NOT so far and so expensive to live there I would have spent the last 5 yrs living there and searching the records myself. Duane Weber was in Spokane. An official told me I could put Weber in a chute, but it wouldn't put him on the damn plane! (Makes one wonder if the FBI had not already put him in a chute). So far no one has been able to put any suspect ON the plane. DNA and Prints too compromised to offer any assistance, plus they don't know if what little they do have even belonged to Cooper. Since I know little to nothing about - the river or dredging, there is little I could interject. I do have a QUESTION and WANT more than one answer.

If that is the residue they found with the money - that could also have come from another source rather than the river banks or dredging matter. More probably the suggestions I make below: Old houses and barns and sheds. If one had a friend in the area or if Cooper took shelter in a house that he knew would always be there - like the Ledbetter Mansion or one of the other buildings on the property were the workers and foreman lived. I use this as an example only because Duane claimed to have known a man who supervised the place known as the "CARETAKER". I could never get anyone to find out who the caretaker was from the yrs - 1945 to 1950 and then 1962 - 1977. Those were the only yrs I thought Duane could have spent time in WA and why I fixated on those time spans. I mentioned this Caretaker on one thread I posted on and why BK came into that thread and called himself CaretakerAl. See what I mean BK takes things and USES them. Drop him a name and he is all over it. Perhaps not immediately, but just give him a little time and it will come right back at you. BA! Georger you have a barn! What is the floor made of - straw and clay or some other soil that compacts well? Even in KY we see clay for some reason on the foundations of the barns, perhaps because it formed a firmer foundation for storage of items and did not absorb as much moisture. I do not know what Kaye found regarding the rubber bands when he did his test HOW MANY YRS after the crime was committed and when the money was found. The money was found in 1980 and Kaye examined the money in 2010 - that is 30 yrs of decomposure and handling of the material after the fact. The money was NOT protected from handling in the early stages of the find. According to the source I have who was personally involved in the investigation in 1980 the rubber bands had decomposed, but there was residue from the rubber bands on the edges of the money and other places. 377: Take this one to THE BANK! Be sure they put the whitish flecked bank bag in side of the transport bag - I wouldn't want my 2 million to be damaged! Let's call it inflation. Did you note the post - Computer problems! Duane knew antiques - and money from and old crime would never have entered his mind. Remember Duane's reputation - he was so dumb he got caught - HOW MANY TIMES? He also spent time in prisons for multiple crimes - maybe BECAUSE he got stupid. I think it was stupid to put money in the river - but what was he thinking at that time in 1979. He had a record. He drove FAST. He did something a couple of times - that I caught him at, but I won't go into details on that. He was put ON NOTICE verbally and by MY ACTIONS I would NOT tolerate what he did. As far as I know these are the only 2 infactions he made after we were married. I guess he thought of this as "keeping in practice". For instance the Kool Aid during his last few months. The other 2 things were a "little" more serious. Call it Adult Child Syndrome! Perhaps what he needed to show me and his reason for NEEDING to go for a ride and back to the HOUSE was to provide just that! I will never know now! Like the song he used to sing - "You'll Never Know If You Don't Know NOW" How significant is that song now? He loved me enough to walk away from a life style he knew I could NOT tolerate. I think the "little" incidences were testing me - and maybe that is why he called "Mommie". We had no children but I was Mommie! This child like charm is what captivated people - little did they know and found it shocking to learn he was a 5 time felon not to meantion how many times he had been arrested. His best friend just could not believe his friend and some times co-worker since 1983 was an ex-con. Duane taught this best friend how to sell insurance and the man became very successful. The friend and his wife contact me frequently to see how I am doing and we speak on the phone a couple of times every yrs. Duane was a GOOD friend to the people he knew and those of us who knew this almost child like man will never forget him. His best friend who is a staunch Christian - said the first thing he is going to do when he "gets" there is to find Duane - and knows he will be there with that Boyish grin (no one ever forgot his grin and his grimace) - this odd little quirk was a look of mischievance and it could also display displeasure, but there was a twinkle in his eye with mischieveous and a dark side to the grimace. The friend will say "You Really Did It - didn't you?" This friend is the one who shared the escapeds Duane pulled in his presence. I hope he writes them all down. When I went there in 2001 with the documentary crew with Himmelsbach. I felt it was right, but the approach made me doubt this. I was so frustrated by the crew and the demands even though they were very nice. I did walk with Fazion and Himmelsbach and asked some question while the crew did some other things. I asked Mr. H what was across from the river - and mentioned something Duane said, but could not remember exactly where he made that statement - still uncertain which site he made about knowing someone who used to live over there. I did make a statement regardin I didn't think it was right but, I have explained that several times as it was the approach. Not the site. Something about the house was different, but the trees were right. Could have been some changes to the house and all of the heavy equipment to our left as we faced the river was not there in 1979. When we left the site and drove toward the RED LION was when I asked Mr. H a question - then I realized Duane and I must have approached Tena's bar from the opposite way, but the crew also drove me some other places - so they were getting me very confused. The river site was dead on - it was what we passed on our way that made feel any doubt. It was the reverse from how Duane and I did it and Duane also used a road that ran into that road the crew used. But the road the crew took to the Red Lion was exactly as I remember it in 1979. The crew had taken me to other similar sites - and that was confusing. There had been a flood and the equipment and the business had expanded. The parking area, the trees - the fence - the river - it was as I remembered it in 1979...trees were of course larger. I have tried to locate Fazion to ask about the shed - because for some reason my memory of 1979 involved a tool shed or something I could see that was NOT there in 2001. One of the reason I walked away from the crew and to the parking site. I had to view them as I had view Duane in 1979 - except I was sitting in a car parked to the furthest right facing the river. I will swear till the day I die - Duane Weber walked down there and he was out of sight at one time as I could not see him from the parking site - he had gone over to the west side of the area and I could NOT see him. Note the statement about my sitting in a car to the West of the parking area in 1979 meant I did NOT have visibility I had in 2001 with the crew. Something makes me want to believe there was a shed that kept me from seeing him...but, I have never gotten an answer to the question the existence of a shed being there in 1979 and my sitting in a car to the Right of where I stood in 2001. WHY I have asked for old pictures of Tena's bar from 1979 and NOT arials. I can't make heads or tails out of those things. Surely someone took pictures from the parking lot of the river around 1979 or before! Duane had also had told me there used to be a place to put money in if you went to the beach - why I connected it with his early days as a boy - but, I never did ask. I gave Duane space and perhaps that is what no one else ever gave him - his space and his thoughts. For some reason a man who had been with multiple women decided one would do for the rest of his life. I did NOT invade his past! It may also have been that my name was the same as his alias and I have thought about that many many times. When I met people my name was so common and sounded so made up - that I would hear - sure baby sure! So often I used the name I was born with and not my married name....why when the Hwy Patrol came knocking on my door after his little venture trying to renew an old drivers license they thought he was my father. I have explained many time that Duane left me in the Motel in The Dalles and disappeared for 5 1/2 hours. He told me when we went to bed that I could sleep in the next morning as he was going to get up at 6;30 and go do something. He did NOT return until after check out time at noon - and I had call the clerk about taking our things out and she call the hwy patrol for me to see if there had been an accident Duane showed up about 20 minutes later and he was soiled. He put our luggage in the car and washed up and we left. I do NOT know where he went during those 5 1/2 hrs. but he said he went to see an old friend and he had died and his wife asked him to move somethings for her - and I think he said shed (but that conversation is really lost to me other than what I have stated). He said something about a leak and rotten wood. This is why I think part of the money was hid but NOT in the wood. Duane did NOT look like he had been in the woods. Probably hid in a place he knew would still be there if he wanted to go back. Duane always divided things up. How he hid things in the house - not all together. Money was put in 2 or 3 accounts & safe deposit. Now I do understand why - he could hit the safe deposit box and run if he was found out or running from the law. I think he did the same thing with the money from the skyjacking. He and the wife of the time lived pretty good for a guy who didn't make any money the yr of 1971 and they bought things in 1972 with no credit line that was way above what was made in 1972. Two new cars - no notes - so I assume Vegas/Reno wash cash. That same day - we went to the Bridge of the Gods, a Dam, Cames, Green Mt. & Washougal and then north to a fire tower and then he flipped me around - and we ended up back on the road that goes around Vancouver to the interstate. We started to loose daylight when he hit the area of the Lewis river. IT was about that time he told me there was little but wood till we got to Tacoma. He knew I like to nap because on open road he went WAY too fast - 85! Some of the money must have bene damaged by the storage area. In Seattle on our last day there he disappears for another 5 1/2 hour and show up late and that is when I fixed the drink (he proved to me he had not been somewhere drinking) He was GIDDY and blew in my face after he changed and I handed him the drink. I wanted pics before we went down - and that is when the did the GERONIMO thing which I have the pic posted. Now in retrospect I think he had spent that afternoon in a room some place sorting thru what he recovered and probably some of it was so damaged it was not spendable. He had no place to burn it so he discarded it on the RIVER before we left WA. That is what his actions and our stops say! I thought he was acting odd, but just thought he had memories from the WA area he did NOT want to share. Tossing 6 k or 12 K - would not have meant much to him at that time. We made good money that yr.....very good money. I would have a hard time believing the NONE natural means if I had not been with him on the trip up and the trip back....but the opportunities were there. Why get caught with the money - why not put it where they might think he died - but knowing who and what Duane was before the fact and before I knew him - a STUPID thing turned out to be a LUCKY thing. Remember the guy always ended up in prison....because he got Stupid. P.S. While in Seattle at the Eye of the NEEDLE he bought me a OLD Black Hills gold ring for my pinky finger. I was just looking in the case at the elevator while he paid the bill - and did NOT ask for the ring as I was very conservative. How do I produce a witness to a trip he took me on? We stayed in hotels but who remembers the guests? The only proofs I had I didn't understand! There are a few things left he had in that drawer and the FBI has NEVER contacted me about if they mean anything. WHEW! I didn't say a bag washed up on Tena's bar. I figured that paper sack and whatever was in it might have ended up on the bar. I have had individuals study the currents and the flood - and it was feasible, but at the same time I had told about his going down to the beach with trees and a wide opening, a house to the left and a fence with a gate. Trees at the parking area and along the fence area on the beach side of the house. I described the house as it looked in 1979 and what on the road across from the house. There had been pastures and clear land. I did NOT go down to the beach with Duane - I stayed in the car as I was told. One site placed Duane - one where I know he threw the bag in the water and 2 other places I did NOT go down to the water with him and stayed in the car as ordered. There was a 4th place - the Green Tank which I did get out of the car and I have described that many times. I found out where the tank USED to be from a developer on the river. Her husband had ariels taken of the property while the tank was in place, but she never sent any of them to me. I still have her card and phone number in the trip file. The Cooper Research Team Tom Kaye, Alan Stone, Carol Abraczinskas [RED] I HAVE SAID THIS FOR 17 YRS![/RED] NO ONE HEARD ME. I was very upset with the crew in 2001 - they did it their way and I got fed up and walked away - they did not take me there according to my memory....but, they were not investigators. They didn't realize I needed to go forward the way I did in 1979 with Weber. It was after we left Tena bar along the river by car that I told Himmelsbach - (we were in the back seat) - "those buildings - I know those buildings". He told me that we could have arrived at Tena's bar from that direction. And then I got it! BUT not until I went back in 2010 ALL BY MY SELF! I didn't even have to go back to Tena's bar - just the tressel or underpass and seeing the 2 directions Tena's bar could have been approached by - was ALL I needed. I was at peace with that part. There are 3 ways to approach Tena's bar. 1. from the north like the crew did. 2. from the Red Lion along the river 3. Another street north of the road along the river and that is how Duane took me and it connected to the road the crew took Himmelsbach and I to the Red Lion. I did NOT have to go all the way back to Tena's bar at that point. I knew I would be able to get on my plane and go home and know I DID REMEMBER! I WAS NOT WRONG! I am a Loner & not a social animal - why I fight things with a KEYBOARD! People confuse me - they interupt my thoughts instead of waiting for me to speak or ask a question. I had no map of Vancouver - I was at the mercy of a driver. My viusal memory gets sidetrack by changes. Seeing something ONE time and then to be able to go back yrs and yrs later...most individual cannot do that. In 2001 I was at the mercy of the crew and that was a problem plus no map. My input into starting from The Dalles meant nothing to anyone other than everything to my visual memory. I did NOT have a map. IS this what Larry based his reply on and not on the banking personnel? CHEAP Paper deteriorates very rapidly when exposed to mold, water, dirt, mites - etc. Where was the money prior to being found at Tena's If you and Kaye actually examined the remnants of the money - and I do believe Kaye's statement was relatively accurate. Ask him about the money and his opinion of the banding (in person) - note to him the difference between packets and bundles. You supposedly are on good terms with him. FRANKLY I do not take Larry Carr's word for ANYTHING - not when I have PERSONALLY caught him in misnomers in providing info. and inappropriate conduct regarding me. Now a QUESTION for you! Clarify or verify what I am stating below: I was told the money did NOT go on the PLANE in a whitish bank bag (technical if one wishes to play with word the bank bag did go with the money) - but before it was taken to the plane it was put inside of another container. Cooper had asked for a Napsack - so they used the next best thing they were able to acquire. Witnesses watched that chute and bag go back to Cooper! DID Tina not have to walk right past the passengers to get the equipment and ransom to Cooper - OR have I gotten something ELSE wrong? Since my source was very reliable why has the FBI continued to claim the money was in the BANK GAG - OK techically it was. In 1996 after I found Himmelsbach and before the FBI ever came to talk to me - I had made some donations to the Helping Hands Mission and I had only taken the bag about a wk before I was talking to Mr. H about this. As you know I knew little about the crime and I described a satchel Duane would NOT let me throw away and noted that he mentioned it used to have a shoulder strap. Mr. H told me it wasn't important and said the money went out in a bank bag. I saw the bank bag in 1990 when I asked Duane what it was and the satchel just showed up in the house. I just did NOT question things - and hell I didn't even remember at that time that Cooper jumped out of a plane with a bank Bag - last thing to ever enter my head....as he had only been on the machine for a short time and I worked 10 hrs a day 6 days a wk. The bank bag: I will swear under oath and with a lie detector that the bank bag was in the console/cooler between the two captain seats of the van. This was right after he made a trip to a bank deposit box in Omaha (charging the a one way ticket to the credit card) early 1990. He had taken me there in 1980 - after the money find - back then you could pay a safe deposit box forward for 10 yrs. I would be unaware of the new box until after his death and would NOT have known about it had there not been a receipt for it in his wallet with the key. ONLY a BLOOMING idiot could possibly believe what you just stated above! Do YOU read and COMPREHEND what you wrote above? 100 twenty dollar bills is 1/3 of an inch thick (appox). WOULD any one here CALL 1/3 of an inch A BUNDLE? Would any one here even think about putting a rubber band around this small stack of bills. If you compress it enough it is only 1/4 of an inch. Perhaps one of those small green rubber band and it would still curl. Do yourself a little experiment! Take 100 one dollar bills and see what happens if you put a rubber band around them.

I agree with facing the rear if you actually jump. There's no doubt the stairs rebounded after they were freed of his weight. But if you pull on the stairs, if you were facing the rear, wouldn't the chute just envelope you all over from the airstream pushing against your back? On the jump location: I also said it had to be at the bottom, yes. But I still think he went down the stairs backwards. Big load, low clearance initially. Leaning over to get past 24-36 inch gap between the stairs and the bulkhead sounds pretty dangerous. This might have been a surprise for the hijacker, who may have expected full extension, or something close to it. So he turns and starts edging his way down backwards. Stairs move downward as he goes. At the end, he may have jumped as you say, or faced forward and tried it that way. I don't know. Just a theory. I personally don't recommend pulling on the stairs in the first place under the conditions Cooper was exposed to. But if you do want to pull on the stairs, facing forward is what you would do. Also, do you have an estimate of how many canopy panels (assuming an NB-6 canopy) would be blown out during an opening at 225 MPH? This is where U do NOT think! Those notes had been recorded prior to being stored, just for the purpose they were used for. Remember - Mr H did NOT write the book and there are a couple of misnomers in it. The money in the safe was already banded and recorded. Then bundled with rubber bands as they packed and counted it. Do YOU actually think all of those 20's were copied while Cooper waited for them? Banded packs of 20's ($2000) per pack. All they did was bundle them with rubber bands by 3's or 4's or 5's so they could be transported. Do U actually think they already had the pacs bundled with rubber bands? They did that as they counted out the amount! A stack of 3 packs would be a 3 inch bundle - 6000 dollars and 5 packs 10,000 dollars. Each bundle had to be handled and accounted for. AGAIN you missed it entirely! Bundles versus packs - 3 packs to a bundle approx 3 inch bricks. Each pack had a paper band on it, but the bundles had rubber bands on them. There may have been 4 packs or 5 packs in a bundle - the source did NOT say and I did not ask. This is just how you have worked your book all of these yrs - go jump out of a plane! PS - Georger, I expected you to be on top of this, but like myself there is little to say anymore. Regarding the above information I expected you to jump on a couple of things I mentioned. Did I misunderstand the source? As you have said - Jo is unpredictable! 1. Another item that might put a subject on the plane besides a 20 dollar bill. I dropped a couple of clues you and Kaye need to rehash. 2. The paper bands on the money! It is unknown to me if the bands had any printing on them and they were just paper which would quick decompose. 3. The Below was written by Jo Weber and is the property of Jo Weber: Brian was a child and several individuals were involved - the story changed over the yrs. One of the FIRST individuals to arrive at the site after Brian's parents contacted the authorities told me what I have tried to summarize below along with my own inflections: The money had PAPER BANK WRAPPERS - so many 20's in a pack. The bank kept such demominations and others already recorded for such incidents as this. The timing was during BANKING HOURS on Thankgiving Eve & Cooper timed this properly! NOTE: DID Cooper look at his watch and does Tina knows what it looked like? Another question has also been answered and if BLEVINS uses any of this I personally will THROW him out of plane and he better pray his chute opens. If he or anyone else out here tries to connect their suspect to Cooper by hitching a ride on the watch - the individual might not have a hand left! Maybe I am MAKING all of this up or taking liberaties the way the press & researchers have done over the yrs. WANT TO PLACE A BET ON IT? The paper wrapped bundles were gathered up into bundles - how many packets to a bundle is unknown to the person. This was done by personnel at the bank. How many packets where in a bundle is unknown (so you guys do you home work - in those days how many 20's were in a paper wrap - probably my guess 2K per paper wrap). I got the impression it was 3 packets to a bundle. This is probably the mis-nomer all of these yrs (Packets versus bundles). The rubber band or bands that held the bundles together was dry & crumbled - and there were remanents of it at the site and on the money. REMEMBER Brian's parents tried to clean the money up! Since Brian was ONLY clearing a site for the fire - it was a scoop like any child would make when told to make a site for the fire. He DID not dig a hole. The money was just below the surface (estimate 3 to 4 inches). Since the money was wet & crumbling there were fragments in the area (remember Brian used his hand and his arm) - then of course as anyone would have done - everyone joined in looking for more. Remember the small cousin who claimed she found the money - she was just a toddler - (sure she probably dug in also and found a corner or such - there was a lot of excitement finding that much money on the river banks). I asked how large of an area. That question cannot be answered by any one person other than the children - a toddler and a 12 yr old. The rest of the story you guys know - as everyone dug around and remanents became scattered and sifted thur the sand and soil. The packets were found together in a broken bundle....but together never the less. No other bundles were found. Where there 3 bundles or just the 3 packets in one bundle? I did not get this far and only Brian can answer that question! My personal opinion - it was 3 packets in one bundle. The bundle was so damaged the skyjacker knew he couldn't launder it - so he laid it to rest with his memories of WA - on the Columbia in Sept of 1979.
