  1. Quit confusing the tree huggers!
  2. Always buy beer in 10 case lots!
  3. I went from this...(pic attached)..to a Focus. Giving up a street car is no biggy. It'll be waiting for you. Trust me-get an economy car, one you won't have to wrench on all the time to keep on the road. I assume you'll be attending college. If that is the case then an ultra-reliable vehicle is worth it's weight in gold. You'll be busy enough with classes without having to fix your car every week.
  4. Or the medical bills associated with the transplant.
  5. I agree, lot's of choices other than the Chevy and the Audi. 4 years ago I bought a Ford Focus ZX3. Not exactly what i was looking for, but I don't regret it. It now has 130,000 trouble free miles and should last me two more years (at least) until I'm done with college. Stcker was 14,500, dealer had 500 off and Ford had a 3000 rebate so i got it for 11,00.
  6. Thanks for pointing that out, but it was just a sad attempt by me at sarcasm.
  7. My dentist is nice. All you have to do is ask, schedule, and pay a little extra (ok, a lot extra) to get sedated with a shot of Demorall and an IV of Valium. Really, really, really good chit!
  8. At first I thought it was just satire, but then I remembered that if it's on Wiki it MUST be true. How sad for the kittens.
  9. When Brood X emerged a few years back the turkey population exploded. Turkey chicks need protein...LOTS of protein. The cicadas provided a smorgasboard for them. My dogs at the time ate so many they didn't touch their regular food afterwards so I had to keep them away from the woods for a few weeks. They are quite amazing creatures.
  10. Quick poll: How many suddenly find themselves siding with Bush against the Dems on this one?
  11. It's caused by the government to keep us from jumping around from planet to planet by ourselves. They want total control over all interplanetary travel and the first step is making it difficult for a person to do so on their own. So far they are succeeding. Either that or, as already posted, the world just sucks.
  12. I may get a paid internship to work on a really cool project at school, and I also may have another really cool part-time job lined up. Unfortunately I'm not at liberty to disclose the exact nature of either one until I actually have them. Other than that the good news of the week is that it is now Tueasday and I made it through Monday...always a good thing!
  13. When did the "bad intel" propaganda begin? When did Cheney start pushing the "Atta in Prague" myth? I don't know, when? Hey, I was just pointing out the invasion was March of 2003. If you want to hop in your time machine and go back to Feb. 2002 then have at it. In fact, I believe I stated in my original reply that you could do that if you wanted to give yourself some more time. I couldn't care less what your reasoning behind it is and didn't bring that into question. Chill out.

    Bourbon

Anybody know the correct pronunciation of the name "Bulleit"?
  15. The invasion was 3/03. Just thought I'd point that out. Of course, you could go back to 2/02 if you want and give yourself an extra 13 months to do something.
  16. Bases on the moon? Hmmmm.....Who's on first?
  17. Just offhand... 33= Number of starting positions in the Indianapolis 500
  18. Tell me he doesn't kill the doggy...please tell me he doesn't kill the doggy!
  19. Really! That's alcohol abuse.
  20. "How long have I been following you? Sniff my finger! "
  21. I've never seen an application for terrorist training camp. Do they have to write essays? So does this mean that you would also support the indefinite holding of people who attending tactical gun training courses like the ones near Vegas? I wasn't aware we had a law against going to camp in the first place. I wonder how many pieces of paper in this world have my fingerprints on them. I bet if I had willard imprisoned for several years without access to a lawyer I could produce quite a lot of things with his fingerprints on them. If-dog-rabbit.
  22. I've never seen an application for terrorist training camp. Do they have to write essays? So does this mean that you would also support the indefinite holding of people who attending tactical gun training courses like the ones near Vegas? I wasn't aware we had a law against going to camp in the first place. Maybe you should pose those questions to someone else. Read the articles Kallend supplied links to. The info is there.
  23. You want a fact? Here's one. The pound is a unit of force AND MASS. Don't forget currency. A pound is a unit of currency as well. It's also a verb. So you were only half right.
