Nice advice. Any more? I must say I'm tempted to fly with them. But the Russian transit and rumours of lousy groundservice by Aeroflot scares me. So I'll probably cough up the dough.

I'm going to Japan in a couple if weeks. I can get a ticket with Aeroflot, pride of the Russian skies for 650€ whereas a BA ticket will set me back 900€. My biggest concern is that the 650€ deal involves me being stranded in some Russian airport I've never heard of, for an entire day. I'm not an experienced traveller and I sure as hell don't speak any Russian. I'm also a bit of a sissy in planes and I'm skeptical towards the safety standards of this company. Anybody have any advice. 250€ is plenty of money to spend on Sushi, Ryokan stays, etc.

Wait. You're scared of jumping out of the plane, but not the ride up? That's the scary part man. Once you're out of the plane you're home free. Well...you know. Anyway...hook up with someone from the dropzone. Go with him. That way you won't be in your car thinking about shit and scared to shit. Just go and have a beer at the dropzone. That's right...booze up. You'll know you won't be able to jump. Then, next weekend, skip the beer. In time, justbgo to manifest. Alright I'm drunk nevermind.

By far the strangest fact I've learned this year...
VincentVL. replied to ExAFO's topic in The Bonfire
I learned that babies who are fed mother's milk get more toxins into their system which cause cancer. (PCB etc) Who knew? -
A simple Q & A will settle this. Q. Do you like to row? Yes --> Stick with it. Quit skydiving at least until the olympics (jesus...don't pass up on the OLYMPICS) NO --> See next Q. Q. Is this rowing thing your source of income? NO --> Quit Yes --> See next Q. Q. Can you get another fulfilling job? Yes --> Quit. No --> Keep rowing until you can. There we go.

parchutes des france - wheres my bloody rig
VincentVL. replied to crashtested's topic in Gear and Rigging
15 months? Fuck me...you could buy a Desmosedici RR and get it sooner than that. Seriously...that's like 200 jumps or something. Imagine having to buy a new container because you want to downsize, when your "new" container arrives. Glad you received it. My word... -
As a European viewer I have to say the game itself is great but it just sucks ass that you have to watch 4 hours of shit for one hour of action. This was an awesome game but I think an average game would take a lot of booze to sit through. You gotta love that play where manning breaks free from a meatpile and throws an incredible pass to win the game.

Are you being ironic? The instructor has to pull that bridle with all his force and fiddle with the flaps to get it out. How is that a delay caused by drag?

AGAIN with the childhood memories. Oy... Yeah he's pretty insane.

Who's saving up for New gear this spring!?!?
VincentVL. replied to Unstable's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Oh I do. All too well. Took me 3 years between really wanting to start and being able to. That's a long time. I do believe buying new gear is a luxury. I'd jump anything I could get my hands on frankly. But like I said, a new kit costs the same as decent second hand gear. So I see no reason not to go for new. -

VincentVL. replied to Unstable's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I'm going to make my AFF1. Then I'll decide if I want to take AFF completely. If I stick with it, I might buy new. Because of the currency, new is cheaper than used in the long run. -
Ah man, That's a lot of money. Good for you!!!

Spinning Linetwists Malfunction Video

I like the way you talk man. Just calm and steady. No big talk, just a classy explanation of what it's all about. Reminds me of Helmut Dähne's commentary to his insanely fast lap of the Nürburgring. -
Youtube. I'm not even kidding.

Sure. If she wanted me to. She doesn't even have to be pregnant to ask me that. First I'd try to explain to her that it's not about "support", "living" or "what's fair"... It's about the safety of the unborn child. I can still support her even if I do a couple of jumps a month. And if I have an unfortunate landing the kid will still pop out unscathed in due time. My s/o is a woman though. She might not listen to reason. I personally don't think in terms of: "If I can't jump then why should you be able to jump it's just not fair nagnagnagnag ".

I have an old big one. Runs every game, never failed on me (xcept some rental dvd's) and is still going today.

A FEMALE doctor????? Now I've heard it all. Ok all bets are off...
-
That doesn't make any sense. Don't come to me for forgiveness. What is that? Some line from some Chuck Norris movie? It was a question. You didn't answer it and somehow made it personal for some reason. So I won't bother.

THey can go ahead and fuck up their own kid--not my problem. Just do not expect any eligibility for one single fucking government dollar of any aid, of any kind or form, to remedy the problems that ensue. And expect adverse legal action on behalf of the kid. Say some crackwhore gets knocked up. She's a republican so she wants to keep the baby and she also doesn't want to fuck it up. Would you spend some government dollars on her getting clean?

How about drugtests for pregnant women? Or am I missing something?

Long term effects are a bitch. You never know what might happen when you fuck with Nature. Botox, GI, Cloning, Laser Eye Surgery, CO2, etc..

I don't think anybody cares, but I do agree with this one. When I see some f*cking idiot race his car past some kids on their bicycles I always secretly hope he crashes without hurting other people and maybe gets a clue.

The problem with the death penalty is not in these clearcut cases where some savage does the unspeakable. The death penalty is problematic for all those cases where people get "wrongfully" accused.
