Well the problem with that idea that they are told by other students that thier are min. 7 levels to get threw AFF and if they don't do it in 7 levels they think they have failed. Yes as instructors we need to reinforce in them that its not a race but they still have that in there head Never give the gates up and always trust your rears!

I read this thread and its all semantics. This one of the reasons I hate DZ.com. People pick apart what you say. ok done with the rant I think instructors are suppose to teach and student are suppose to learn. There are many different ways to teach and learn. If the students do not learn its the Instructor that are failing not the student. Yes you might have to revisit some TLO's. We are talking about a sport that if the student does fail they are dead. We are in a sport that is life a death. Yes you might have pull for a student and thats a redo. I just think its are responsibility to teach and if we as instructors don't do that, Then we are the ones that are failing. JMO Never give the gates up and always trust your rears!

USPA Membership Dues& Rating Fees going up?
ozzy13 replied to chriswelker's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I don't see a meeting costing 25k being a volunteer thing. I think that's one of the reasons why we are in trouble financially. Let them stay at a motel 8 or something if its such a volunteer thing. Im not saying that they should pay for all their expenses but gee whiz that's a lot of money for a bunch of people to get nothing done. Never give the gates up and always trust your rears! -

Marko tell the facts Dont lie to make yourself look better I had 300 jumps and it was a 149 safire. First off DZ landing. Had a brain fart It looked a lot worse then it really was. Dont deflect the fact that you were in this kids shoes and did the same thing he is doing... Not listening. That why I find it funny that you are giving him Advice Never give the gates up and always trust your rears! -

My advice is to stay off the front risers until you're not just a n00b that gets a little lost at times. Seriously. When did swooping become a newbie sport? Dave i think you completly missed the point.. No I think you have!!!! Never give the gates up and always trust your rears! -
Sorry if you thought I thought you were arguing with me. I just think the cops in this area will not care Never give the gates up and always trust your rears!

She didnt lose anything. So cops CANT do anything Not true, if the check really is bogus. If the check is bogus, the crime was committed once it was put in the mail (or given) to her. I just dealt with this. Some guy sent me 5000 dollars in money orders. I called the money order company. They told me they were no good. They all have been cashed at different amounts. and told me to throw them out. Next went to cops they said because I didn't loose anything. that their was nothing for them to do. Just telling what the cops told me. Yes their was a fraud money order. They just were not going to put the man power into trying to catch someone that might or might not have committed fraud. Try proving in a court of law that i did something like that. With out finger prints and all that. Cops in this situation is a waist of time, gas and all that. Jen just throw it out and go on to another seller!!! Never give the gates up and always trust your rears!
