CX150, or go all the way to CX500? Replacing a PC109
mnskydiver688 replied to pfortier's topic in Photography and Video
Product refresh. They produce a set amount of a model and then move on to a new one. Life in the technology lane. Also, this is the way they can keep a certain price point. CX100 was $499 when it came out so they throw more features into the next model and keep that price point. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters -

I also presented the same idea last year and there was some interest. Do a search, you may find some answers. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters -
Wish me luck trying to stay with him in my Ghost 2. Ain't gonna happen. I finally am able to stay with him in a V3 and he sells it! What's the deal Tony! Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

As long as image technology continues in two directions SLR quality prints will never be found in a video camera. Why? There was a time when 2MP was SLR quality. When a video camera gets to the 6-8MP range there will be SLR's with much better sensors that reduce noise to just a memory. It is the nature of technological advancement. Combining technologies comes second to furthering the capabilities of an individual technology. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

Most cards support transfer rates way above both USB and Firewire even e-sata in most cases. Keep in mind the difference between Mbps and MBps. Very different. The problem with USB is one second you are getting ~480Mbps and the next you are getting 5Mbps. The problem with Firewire is it is too good for it's own good. It has a constant transfer rate of 400Mbps or 800, but there is a lot more work on the back end to get that. Invest in a good card or use the internal memory. Or do the have multiple cards and just swap them out. If you need to have your footage turned over quickly invest in 4 2gb cards instead of one 8 gb card. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

One thing on the transfer speed. The internal memory is very fast when transferring. However if you have a cheap MS Pro stick then the speeds drop dramatically so keep that in mind. But USB 3.0 will be out soon anyway so all is lost... Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

How many people capable of RW formations exist in the world? How many people were involved in the world record for RW? How many people capable of wingsuit formations exist in the world? How many people were involved in the world record for WS? Are the ratios anywhere close? If so I will not bring it up again... However, a discussion involving the definition and guidelines to formations is a moot point if there aren't those to create the formations. So where should our priorities be placed? I think there should be a vote to create a committee which is then setup to decide on the qualified spokesmen which with then form a committee to discuss the solution and then present to a committee to make a final decision on the solution. All the while us "non" committee members will continue working toward increasing the number of new wingsuit pilots and ensuring proper training is being utilized. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

They wont affect flight but they well inevitably break. I had an S6 with the same issue. I would suggest taking the ribs out of the arms which isn't too much of a process. The leg wing however may be a bit more involved. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

Docked formations: How far can we take this one....
mnskydiver688 replied to mccordia's topic in Wing Suit Flying
Why not utilize the inflation of the leg wing in tandem with the gripper. Have it zip on or attach somehow so the grip is inflated. This way you aren't trying to grab at something that is flapping wildly and ready to take a finger off. Kinda like Jarno.... Sky Canyon Wingsuiters -

Or attach a pony to your feet. Those have survived freefall before. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters -
The Ghost 2 is a nice suit. I went from a Firebird to an S6 to a Ghost 2 and have been very impressed with it. It feels much more natural and intuitive to fly than either of the first two suits I have owned. I have demoed a Raptor, Mach 1, and Phantom 2 also. There is obviously more wing to deal with than the Phantom2z, but I was pleasantly surprised at pull time of how the wing really doesn't cause any issues. In addition I have taken it out of a c182 many times with no issue. However your results may vary. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters
