Mike- "You know what they say about big suits right?" Her- "Please no." Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

Well the rigger also said that if the pocket in the front didn't work one could be placed on the tail end of the slider and if necessary the sides also. In my case I only needed the front. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

I always thought that eye on the back looks like a vajayjay. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

The pockets depicted in the pictures seem a bit excessive. The mod done by a MASTER rigger to my Sabre 150 is much more minimalist. A length of 3 inch wide binding tape is sewn to the front of the slider and then doubled over. The open side of the fold faces toward the center of the slider. It has made a world of difference. Also it doesn't add any noticeable bulk and does not interact with the nose of the canopy at all. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought modifications can be done by a senior rigger on any piece that is not a TSO'd component. This means mods done to the container have to be done by a master rigger, however this is on a main. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

whats a good freefall time for a beginner?

While endorsing such behavior would taint my reputation, I have seen Buttermilk take a different approach than most with his numbers. First of all he has more tracking dives than I think anyone with his numbers has, (well over 100) and he annoyed the shit out of one of the local wingsuit guys with questions. This was not a sudden idea that struck him at 100 some jumps. Would I have been ready at 200 jumps, I'm not sure. Do I think he is a crater waiting for coordinates? Eh. With a name like Butters, it has to be good. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters -
Battling with forward movement in sky

Eh don't worry about it. When you have 1000 jumps, someone with 2000 jumps will call you out. Pecking order. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters -
Didn't we supply the Taliban (Osama's cohorts) with military equipment back in the day? Seems an agreement like that would require some palling around. Or does time heal all wounds? Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

I have been using an old Z1 with the all medal hardware. I have seen the new ones and I think production quality has diminished. There is one jumper that has had some bad luck with her brand new one. The neck liner is coming unglued much sooner than anything I have seen. I really like my old Z1, but might you want to reconsider with the new ones out there. Just my 2 pesos. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

Congratulations! Hey whats the deal! I didn't get a snazzy certificate. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

I am a numbers guy and while the last flight was awesome, solo flights leave me unsatisfied. I am by no means looking at switching suits considering I am just getting comfortable in this one, but I am wondering how it stacks up against other suits out there. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

What body types are optimal for the suit? Would a 150lb 5'9" guy in a Phantom 2 play well with a 175lb 5'11" guy in a Raptor? Also how is the wing area in comparison to say an S6? Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

With my fresh WS opinion I think it will end up being a more subjective judging process. Like in other artistic sports. A 1-10 rating scale. A group of judges average their scores and go from there. Just a thought. But trying to enact strict guidelines such as required distances will be difficult. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

I don't see the argument of the Pac being "much" faster. I jumped the CSC PAC this summer and was not impressed with the climb rate. It might have been the pilot being sluggish but, 900 ft/min isn't spectacular. Also the airframes of the PAC's will show age sooner than Otters. Why not a turbine C206? Or how about a C182 with an IO550 engine? Do you see PAC's being flown into the Alaskan wilderness? Does the PAC have the airframe to support floats? With how much abuse skydiving planes get, give me a plane designed for wilderness and adverse conditions, not a plane designed for skydiving. Also if the PAC was designed for skydiving why not a T tail? Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

How about wingsuits? Must be a good reason why every WS manufacture suggests using a throw out system? Also ripcords can become nicked and hang-up on the closing loop if not properly maintained. Also if the ripcord is not cut to the proper length or is dis-lodged in the plane the pilot chute makes a pronounced appearance. Just some stuff I thought of, but because I am young and low jump numbers feel free to completely discredit my post. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

It also looked like today might have had some jumps available. Oh well I guess. The ten day forecast doesn't look good. Hope for the best. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

I watched this particular jump from above also in some what of a ball to keep up with him. It started off as a bit of a carving spiral, but then progressed into a fetal position side spin. After watching it I thought a possible solution would be to arch out of it and then extend arms. However due to my *extreme* lack of any meaningful experience that idea might have been the worst. For information, requirements can be found on skydiveratings.com or uspa.org. I will however echo the previous post. Have fun in the mean time and enjoy all the sport has to offer. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters -
I knew there were hidden motives. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

Be careful when doing things like this. Containers are manufactured for a certain size canopy for a multitude of reasons. Pilot chutes are sized to extract a certain weight from the main tray. Also, because your relatively new you might be not able to pack a main as tight as the bag requires without creating excess bulk. This can make the main pin flap not fit as well also. Just some thoughts. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

That is why I asked. Because Tony-suits do as well as they do I was wondering about the reasoning, which would shed some light on the deflectors purpose and effectiveness. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters
