Yeah sentimental crap is for pussies! Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

Before I started WS'ing. However probably wouldn't want to surf it unless you wanted to land in a severe thunderstorm. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

I wrote this shortly after my club lost a friend. "What do you do when your therapy is the very thing causing you pain? What do you do when doing what they would have wanted is the hardest thing to do? Smile in the face of a sun that has set and will not rise again. Let those who have passed guide you. Bring his memory with you. See him in the beauty we witness in this sport. He will be there. Behind the sparkling white of a cloud. Just over the seamless horizon. Sitting atop the glow of the setting sun. Talking to us through the flutter of the canopy. Making us laugh in the stories of the past. We will not be living with him, but we won’t be living without him." Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

My girlfriend is a non-jumper and has no desire to jump. She has gone out to the DZ a few times, but it is incredibly boring for her. So I don't push the issue too much. I will still ask if she wants to go, already knowing the answer. She is concerned with the safety of the sport, but who isn't. One thing to do is not sugar coat the apparent safety of the sport. Also it helps if she has a hobby of her own that she is into. A hobby that is all her own. That way there can be a balance. Good luck! Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

Now Bill would that be from all different kinds of mistakes or mistakes that get repeated over and over? Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

At this point in my progression I feel I can learn much more by jumping than by reading forums. However, since it is not jumping season here I am forced to sit on dropzone hoping that reading the forums somehow keeps me on the up and up when it comes to the discipline. Also I just don't like not getting all the inside jokes. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

If You Were to buy a camcorder TODAY.....

Please excuse me if my thought is way off point. I am currently reading my way to being informed regarding camera work. My thought is with HD and high quality video capable of being Blu-Ray worthy would it get to the point where frame grabs are just as good as consumer level point and shoots for stills? I understand at the professional and expert amateur level separate cameras are needed. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters -

Oh Mike your being modest! Tell them just how much of an impact your enthusiasm, and spirit had on the attitude and voice of the video. Get those pics of the V3 yet? Sky Canyon Wingsuiters -
I might have to convince Sandy to get me one of those. My current hackey is the heavy leather type and the two pieces of tape are a little too long causing the hackey to dangle from the PC too much. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

At least when Justin got sucked into a burble there was a naked girl in there. Oh I almost forgot. Justin, does that suit have a chest mount camera zipper on the front? Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

Along with inevitable tongue... Sky Canyon Wingsuiters -
I use my mudflap mounted Neptune mostly due to flying wingsuit almost exclusively now. The nice thing with a mudflap mount with a Neptune, it is more low profile than a mechanical sticking out. When I do get my hands out in front of my face I put a Alti Galaxy on my left hand. I also have an audible. I rarely use an altimeter under canopy, mainly because I don't swoop, and I have found my approaches go better when I am relying on feel rather than distinct altitudes. As far as having a backup, the only backup I need is my noggin. As they teach everyone in FJC's if you are unsure of your altitude, pull. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

Thanks for the jumps guys! Have fun in PR and hope to see you guys at FnD! Wish I could be jumping but Minnesota just won't allow it. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

Total ban on cellphone use while driving

What about an intelligence requirement? If you do not have an IQ over 130 then you cannot drive. The previous was sarcasm if unclear... I have grown up in a part of the country where we drive in ice and snow more than a few months out of the year. Yet people still are unable to figure out how to drive safely when the roads are bad. What if someone from Florida travels to Minnesota and rents a car. They don't know the first thing about driving in the snow and slide off the road, through the median and into oncoming traffic? Should they be allowed to drive in such conditions if they have no experience in those conditions? Everyone accepts the risk when they get behind the wheel, just like jumping, It is just due to the fact driving is so common place we do not think about the risk we take. Do I think cell phone use is bad while driving? Yes. So is eating. Should we have a maximum number of hours allowed for drivers to be on the road like there is for truckers? Maybe. Where does it stop? Learn to be defensive drivers. Even if someone has almost no distractions there is no guarantee they won't f*ck up. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters -
Thanks for posting that Scotty. Too bad I wasn't able to get myself down there to see it. Haven't figured out how to get that S-6 up into the 150's. Hope to see you guys at Sebastian on Saturday! Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

Ha! Gotcha! Seriously though, someone needs to help me decide where to go the 29th and 30th. I am planning on being in Z-Hills on the 31st, but I can't decide whether or not to go to Sebastian for those couple of days or stay in Z-Hills. My last trip to FL was to DeLand when I had a little over 50 jumps. So help me out. Florida locals duke it out for my presence, my endless and unwavering wisdom! I want to show off my MAD wingsuit skillz after just 49 WS jumps! Oh by the way Merry Christmas! Sky Canyon Wingsuiters

How many jumps did u have when u did your first wingsuit jump?

Just had to drip some fuel on the fire? Around 400 jumps was when I first threw on a wingsuit. Have been hooked since. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters
