  1. I can't remember for the life of me if I posted these videos, but if not here they are. If so the second one is brand new. The second one's file size is a bit big so it may take a while on slower connections. http://www.skycanyonws.com/media.html Sky Canyon Wingsuiters
  2. A shot of Butters aka "Tony" doing some great backflying this past Sunday. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters
  3. Yes the comment was completely sarcastic. As far as the footage, it is in the process of uploading. It will take a long while. 400 KB/s. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters
  4. Miles Hubbard 13,850 Mary Bauer 14k Bob Stumm 13k Some Northerners Sky Canyon Wingsuiters
  5. Hey! I saw a guy like that! He was wearing this big orange mattress! You'd think with a WS that big he would've known better. But maybe the pony that was mounting him at the time messed with his head. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters
  6. what a dick-ina-phone? Sky Canyon Wingsuiters
  7. Yeah the shots looking back at the "contrails" are amazing. The glide is recockulous. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters
  8. From the sounds of it, I am glad I went with a Century .55x. Might not be the widest, but I have been very impressed with the footage. When I get the settings with the camera right. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters
  9. Yeah it was entertaining watching Jarno flock that Stealth. I think I have some video of his right foot on his ass and his left arm in. It was the most f*cked up body position for flying with that flock that I have seen. As far as the WS free flying or whatever, it is only a matter of time until we hear of some low time wingsuiters trying it and corking right into each other. In regards to Butters and his V3, I am looking forward to the challenge of keeping up with him in my S-6. Butters is not one to be fond of flying his suit in brakes. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters
  10. I don't know. Matt hasn't returned my calls and I continue to be unable to reach him. Soooo, I may be jumping at Baldwin this weekend. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters
  11. Butters, then why can't you ever keep up with me. If I just wanted to float slowly down to 3k then I would've opened my canopy at 13k. Flying fast forward is the goal. So you let me know when you start flying instead of SLOWLY "falling" to 3k. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters
  12. There are better options out there and as DSE stated unless you got it for free it isn't worth your time. I have been very happy with the CX100, but if that is out of your price range there are used PC series cameras out there. I am not sure but maybe those new SD Sony cameras would be worth a look. They are around $200. Sony also has a "webbie" HD camera, 1440 x 900 (guess) that may suit you. That is also $200. You won't be able to put a conversion lens on it but from the sounds of it you wouldn't necessarily need it. Just a few thoughts, and my .02 cents. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters
  13. I don't know, I guess for archiving purposes I would want to have the top quality footage available. That and you never know when something interesting or cool will happen. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters
  14. Neither does Premiere... Sky Canyon Wingsuiters
  15. I wear contacts and use gatorz when I am using my open face camera helmet. I took the nose piece off and use a strap around the back to keep them tight to my face. They work really well. Sorz work pretty well. I had a couple pairs before the gatorz, however I found the foam seal would come off after a while. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters
  16. Me and you both. I am shooting with a CX100 and I am still figuring out how to really show off the HD capabilities. I really liked using iMovie when I was editing SD tape based footage, but I am slowly shifting to other editors for AVCHD. Keep up the good work and keep the videos coming.
  17. I really liked the intro. What camera and editing software are you using? Sky Canyon Wingsuiters
  18. Sorry should've clarified. Premier Pro CS4 on Mac. Working with AVCHD. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters
  19. Don't fight the tidal wave. Use Sony Vegas. I am still being pulled kicking and screaming from Premier because I wanted it to work considering I got the entire creative suite, but I think Vegas will show itself to be a good quick editor. Vegas Movie Studio 9 that is. Vegas Pro is another, most likely better, story. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters
  20. Ooo...Ooo... I think I know. Because Parallels creates a virtual machine for Windows to run on, you never are able to take full advantage of your available hardware. For basic computer software it isn't too much of an issue, but when you get into more hardware intensive programs it becomes a problem. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters
  21. He explained it in gruesome detail in the how to setup a macbook pro for a windows environment thread. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters
  22. Hmm.... well I might try that next time. Are you saying you have to transfer the entire contents of the memory stick over to the drive? Including all the playlist and other stuff? Sky Canyon Wingsuiters
  23. Hmmm... Interesting. I have also heard that the encoder with Vegas is poor. What is your experience with that? Also, would burning to DVD be the only reason to leave it in AVCHD after the editing process? Wouldn't you be encoding to something like MP4 or FLV for online? If you want to send me a PM with the settings for Vegas I would really appreciate it. I would like to use it since I already dropped the money on XP and Vegas. One last thing, if Vegas is so good, what on earth do you use Premier for? I quickly learned that if I wanted to throw a small project together in iMovie I have to take it directly from the camera and I can't read the files from a hard drive. Sky Canyon Wingsuiters
  24. I must be an exception to the rule. I have been getting better performance from Adobe Premier than Sony Vegas. I am not sure if I have the correct settings for Vegas, but as far as AVCHD ingesting in both programs I get largely the same result. I am using a FW 7200 rpm external for both. If it was me and I just got a new MBP, I would fork over the money for Premier and stay in Mac. But that is just me and I think I am fighting a tidal wave here in regards to competing with Vegas. Also, if you buy the creative suite with Premier you get After Effects. Then you can make all those flashy intros and such. Another positive is Photoshop and Encore (DVD software) are seamlessly integrated with each other. You are also able to make intros and motion graphics in Flash and import the media into Premier. On a side note, I am also a bit sour about boot camp and windows because I have both a wireless bluetooth keyboard and mouse and they aren't behaving in windows. Anyway, flame on Vegas users.
