  1. Don't forget to post pics. This is one of my favorites, of Kathy (happy birthday today, 10-26), Linda and Wendy ("shooting" the hoop).
  2. Cool picture, what's the mountain in the background??
  3. Being a girl jumper, that meant I got to learn how to pack rounds without anyone holding tension Wendy W. Being a girl jumper I'll bet you got plenty of "I'll hold yours if you'll hold mine" offers.
  4. Kind of expensive, I can remember when you could get slightly used ones for free. I liked the canopy, it was a pretty radical little "flyer". Like jonstark, I used it for BASE jumps and tight demos, and made a lot of barefoot jumps and pavement landings...
  5. "Back in the day...", commonly used when you think your day began before his day...
  6. good pic jon; and really weird. I used to sit on my slider too (slider ride). Can't remember where I picked it up, but maybe from you. I can remember getting some pretty weird looks though...
  7. Some of you are being WAY too hard on the little Strato Flyer, the first real small square. Coupled with the KXX reserve and Racer it made for a tiny rig for me, and, at 165 lbs, I thought it landed like a dream for anyone not scared to bring it in fast. It was also the best, quickest, and most reliable opening canopy I ever had, with no way to pack it wrong. I was satisfied for 600 or so jumps on them with plenty of demos, barefoot and BASE, and I think most of us knew up front we were only helping put squares into reserves...
  8. Please do tell? Inquiring minds would like to know. Ciao. Vale Mostly it came down to selfish motives and lack of respect for the natural beauty our national parks are about. It was a short relationship...
  9. Didn't David Adcock also climb a tower by means of the guy wire. He definitely marched to a tune the rest of us didn't seem to hear...
  10. I would push off perpendicular to the wind (and the wire in question) or, if the wind is 20 knots, I'd go windsurf...
  11. I thought I felt love before, during a kiss pass, but it turned out to be only lust...
  12. Good shots, Howard. That's the kind of exits I remember, at 120 knots or so...
  13. Seems like a strange move; BASE is an offshoot of skydiving and was developed by skydivers who loved to skydive. Can't change your history, but may limit crossover participation...
  14. Amen; those were some good ole days...
  15. I used to jump with the magnet man inventor, Lee Umpshied (sp ?) and think I still may have a few around. They make nice refrigerator magnets...
  16. Got any of Carl Boenish??? I'd sure like to see them. He loved doing movies (16mm) and stills (35mm) all from one helmet. I don't think I've ever met any other camera guy with the excitement and enthusiasm and vision and equipment Carl had...
