As wonderful as central Florida is, it is aparently no place to be an elementary school teacher these days. Seems budget cuts have slashed the number of teachers needed. So... If you are in central Florida and have a need for an extremely organized and intelligent women who holds a degree in education and has further experience in accounting and office operations, please PM me. I have to get her out of the house because she is also a great cook and i'm starting to put weight on (I fall fast enough as it is). "Always do right. "it can also be used topically to soothe burns or sores and also softens skin" Need any help with those hard to reach places This sounds pretty good but I am confused. I thought blenders were for making margaritas. Your telling me they can be used for other things as well? BRILLIANT! I may just have to try this. I bet it would go well with salmon. "Always do right. You guys are bringing tears to my eyes... I still have, as some of my prized possesions, a white hat and my Chief's Combo-cover to remind me where I came from. I take it as the ultimate compliment that many of the folks who have worked for me over the years have kept in touch and say they would gladly work for me again. That is absolutely true. It's how I did it - E7 to 01E with no college degree (at the time). Called the LDO/CWO program (Limited Duty Officer/Chief Warrent Officer). "Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest" ~Samuel Clemens MB#4300 Dudeist Skydiver #68

What is needed is a change to the airworthyness of the battery to be due upon next reserve repack after 2 yrs (Cypress 1) installed time. Max a battery would be installed is 2 yrs, 4 mo. Post 180 day repack, go to a 24 - 27 mo cycle at least. Give jumpers at least 4 mo of a repack if their battery is dropping dead, but riggers not be allowed to certify a rig if battery hitting the 24 mo installed time during the month of the pack job/inspection. So, if the battery dies in Feb and your packing a reserve in Jan, the rig could be certified until the end of May. Make sense? This is how we schedule other aspects of aviation maintenance, why not this too? Build in some flexibility to the scheduled maintenance process. But hey, what do I know? "Always do right. Thanks to both. I thought I might get a repack due to match the battery date of 30 Sep but I do not want to make a rigger uncomfortable in signing this off this way so I might as well bite it now and replace the unit. I was hoping to put off the cost for a little longer but it looks like Christmas is coming early for me. "Always do right. The vitals... My reserve will be due a repack in early August and my cypress battery is due in late September. The Cypress hits its life limit in February and will no longer be usable. The battery has shown no signs of being weak (not used all that often). The question... When I get my repack, will it be good for the full cycle or does a rigger have to call the due date as of the cypress battery due date? I intend to replace the cypress when it is no longer air-worthy but do not see the logic in replacing the battery at this time. Anybody know? "Always do right. It will be cheaper to maintain myself once I can see the bottom and the pump is running again. I need to head back to Virgina and pack up the house there, be planting roots in FL in mid-june. It would be nice to pull into the driveway and head straight for the pool. Spent the whole day today cleaning up after the folks who lost the house to their bank. It wasn't too bad but man, I could never leave a house without at least cleaning it up first. Now I will always remember those folks as slobs. House-warming party July 4th weekend. "Always do right. Name 3 things you're looking forward to in the near future
SARLDO replied to maestrabella67's topic in The Bonfire
1. Detaching from my present assignment on 27 May. 2. Closing on a house (that is way too big for me but I couldn't pass it up) in Orlando on May 28. 3. Moving to Orlando (and hopefully never to move again) in Mid June for my new assignment. "Always do right. I love the design and wouldn't mind pulling a deployment on her one day with an armed helo det but, IMO the Navy should have reserved the name for another Carrier. "Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest" ~Samuel Clemens MB#4300 Dudeist Skydiver #68

Everybody at Skydive Suffolk and other Eastern VA DZ's ok?
SARLDO replied to skydiver30960's topic in The Bonfire
Although I have not been out to the airport yet, I have not heard of any damage that far south in Suffolk or up by West Point. Pretty much trashed some very nice homes on one of my favorite golf courses though. I feel for you folks in tornado alley who put up with F2+ twisters as a part of life. Scary shit! "Always do right. Yep... When it was all over, had a 4" diameter tree coming through the floorboards and out the overhead about 6" from where my head was (as I was kissing my ass goodbye during a loss of tail drive in a Huey). Trees actually broke the fall. "Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest" ~Samuel Clemens MB#4300 Dudeist Skydiver #68
