  1. OK, looking to order a wings H/C system. Pretty new at this but I'm looking to fit a 210 tiathlon main (or equivalent) and a Smart 190 reserve into it. My question is this: What sizes could i safely downsize in this container in the future (after a couple hundred jumps or so)? "Always do right. 2. Can't stop thinking about it huh? Sounds familiar. Well, do what the rest of us have done to deal with that reaction to skydiving: Give up all other hobby's and interests, say goodby to old friends and family, sell everything you own that you absolutely don't need to survive (to afford this sport), and sign up for the nearest AFF course. Trust me, you won't regret it! Welcome to skydiving! "Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest" ~Samuel Clemens MB#4300 Dudeist Skydiver #68

  4. Speaking from a Navy (and Marine) aviation perspective, the closest you can get to the paraloft is as an aviation maintenance officer (designator 1520) and even then you will only be the division officer, and would likely have one or two other divisions as well if the squadron/department is a small one. Hope this helps. "Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest" ~Samuel Clemens MB#4300 Dudeist Skydiver #68
  5. The '18 is Navy, the Airforce allows the Navy to use the Star and bars on their aircraft (Navy includes Marines). BTW... Yes the F-18 is Navy and no, the "Stars and Bars" is not used by permission of the Air Force (Naval aviation was around, and using the USA markings on aircraft, way before the Army Air Corps became the USAF). The subdued markings referred to are used on all tactical paint scemes and reduces (by the paint used) the IR signature of the aircraft. That's it for the lesson of the day... Fly Navy! 6. Some good info, thank you all. I will call his home DZ and go from there. Thanks again and Blue Sky's "Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest" ~Samuel Clemens MB#4300 Dudeist Skydiver #68
  7. Hello, I am a student looking to buy my first rig. I found a pretty good deal (or so it appears) in the classified section but, the seller wants me to send the money before I can get my hands on the rig. I would prefer to have my local rigger receive the rig (as a third party rep), inspect it for me, and allow me the chance to look it over before sending any money. I'm still new to this but what is the protocol for these sort of transactions? I don't want to offend, nor do I want to be scammed out of a few thoulsand dollars. "Always do right. 8. Looking forward to the SCUBA diving. Was in Guam back in 88 (seems so long ago) for a few days and have been trying to get stationed there ever since. Finally have the chance so I'm taking it. 12. Hello there, I am off to Guam in the near future (thanks to Uncle Sam) and wondering if anybody knows of a DZ there. I can't find anything recent about skydiving on the island. "Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest" ~Samuel Clemens MB#4300 Dudeist Skydiver #68
