  1. It was obviously really traumatic, then. How long did it last? TPM Sister #102
  2. Glad to hear that you're okay! I've never been in an earthquake. It must be surreal. TPM Sister #102
  3. Good for you! Good luck and tell us how it goes.
  4. See??? You can pretty much fill in the plot with any variety of details and it works . . . as long as you leave plenty of time for commercial breaks. TPM Sister #102
  5. Geez, I need a better hobby! TPM Sister #102
  6. LOL--All he had to say was the part about sliding off the hood. Hmmm. I wonder if he was wearing Nikes (the ones with the swoosh on 'em). TPM Sister #102
  7. I get a fairly impressive mental image of you sliding across the hood of the van. Sounds very 1980s action-tv-show-like! I assume there is some detective agency work to be done now, pursuant to which the Jamaican woman will turn out to have some intriguing-but-clandestine rituals to perform associated with some shady criminal activity. You, of course, should have no soreness, bruises, or lasting injuries, but I'm fairly sure it must involve women with blonde, feathered hair . . . oh, and all of this can, of course, be resolved in an hour or less. 8. Yeah, I think I'll skip the process of anyone coming at me with scissors in freefall, thanks. A record's just not that important. TPM Sister #102
  9. Just curious--I have been working on these in the tunnel but am not a jumper, so maybe it's different in the sky. This seems like a dangerous dock to start with in the air. Don't you run the risk of getting sucked in by the other person's burble and colliding? I haven't experienced as much of that getting-sucked-in effect with other sit-fly docks that I've tried. 10. Why can't the roommate stay in your condo while you're living the high life? Is this roommate more than just a roommate? (Sorry--we must've all been typing at the same time.) TPM Sister #102
  11. Prayers said for both your mother and the on-coming driver--and kudos to you for also being concerned about the driver who collided with your mother. TPM Sister #102

    Wheeee...

I thought that title policies in CA disclosed whether you are on a fault line. I've seen it once, anyway. That would be a nasty surprise! TPM Sister #102

    BOOYAH!

What great news!! Congratulations! TPM Sister #102
  14. NICE! Congratulations! *I'VE* never been on PBS. TPM Sister #102
  15. Ummm, well, it's an interesting idea. As I said, I'm not a patent attorney and don't work in a law firm that does that kind of law, but I don't think that you should put too many eggs in that basket. There are plenty of lawyers to choose from without paying to put them through law school. What about trying for a fellowship to pay those bills instead? TPM Sister #102
  16. I'm NOT a patent lawyer, but given that you have to pass the patent bar exam in addition to the regular, run-of-the-mill torture, I would give it some serious consideration if you know of a school that focuses on that.
  17. Come to think of it, the car and cell phone alone could be 40 hours a week. . . . As for perks, well, I s'pose those would be negotiable. TPM Sister #102
  18. I'm impressed that you would show up and push through it no matter HOW you rate your performance! Nicely done!
  19. Yeah, that law is a bit over the top! On the other hand, I had a bicycle accident while riding on a bicycle path on a clear day, and ended up with a nice little concussion to show for it. Of course, that explains a lot about me now . . . . TPM Sister #102

    Bugs!

Nothing NEARLY that provocative, although I was once given a container of sunflower seeds from Chick-fil-A that contained dead ladybugs. TPM Sister #102
  21. Yes, but she was born 5 months ago. So, next I suppose you're gonna say she hasn't made any big purchases like CARS, then, huh? TPM Sister #102
  22. Westlaw public records search (e.g., in case she purchased a car)? I can't recall whether that includes SSNs, though. . . . I just remembered that you can get a LOT of info. that way. Fortunately, I don't have to use it much. TPM Sister #102
  23. Just be thankful that the floral phase is over. TPM Sister #102
