To my untrained eye, it looks like it was written to be read from a teleprompter, then just copy-and-pasted with little or no editing.

Can the videographer/team watch the tapes before deciding which to submit?

Saw it with a date a few weeks ago. Definitely worth the $9.

If they run a good, updated anti-virus package they'll be OK. If they don't, I have no sympathy.

Pro: ParaGear is only about 10 minutes away. Con: It's the north 'burbs. Nobody should have to endure that, not even one day a week. (21 years, here).

That's a nice Birdman shirt.

If I remember correctly, with Sprint and the Vision plan it only costs airtime to send pictures to another phone or the Internet. The receiver may have to pay if they don't have Vision. Without Vision, it costs airtime and a per-kilobyte fee to send pictures anywhere (and possibly also a test-messaging fee or similar). Again, I haven't looked at my contract in a while, so I could be wrong.

The one I remember best is the musical scene where Stewie is a sea captain: "And I can thrill a girl or two / But I'd rather get it on with you" Edit to add: and the sailors sing "You're also a world-class poof" back at Stewie.

Cellphone cameras are basically a gimmick, although some Japanese and European mdoels do have much higher quality cameras. I've attached one of tbe best pictures I've managed to take with my Sprint Sanyo 5500, taken indoors with the cameras built-in "flash" (really just a bright LED). It looks better if you scale it by 50% like Val did. What do I use my camera phone for? Every once in a while I see something cool or funny and take a picture of it. On Wednesday I leave work, kill an hour at the bookstore across the street, and then go to class (no time to commute home, no friends in the area). I use the camera to take pictures of the covers of books that I am interested in, so that I can get them from Amazon or the library. I associate some people's picture with their caller ID info. Sometimes I forget my Sony or want to take a candid (like the attached pic). Still, the phones with the best features tend to have cameras.

This is tough... I've narrowed it down to three that weren't very good but kept getting stuck in my head anyway. Deee-Lite - Groove Is in the Heart Tom Jones - Sexbomb Frank Zappa - Valley Girl

What happens when you get a speeding ticket in your state?
indyz replied to sunshine's topic in The Bonfire
A few months ago I got popped doing 75 in a 45 construction zone in Indiana. I got a ticket for the full bit, a form explaining how to calculate my own fine and what to do if I wanted to take it to court, and sent on my way. Whole thing only cost me about $140. Here's the scam: If I wanted to challenge the ticket, I would have had to drive the several hundred miles to Clarke County twice, once to plead not guilty at the arraignment, and again for the trial. By setting my arraignment at 8:30 am, they make it into a 2-day trip. If the trial was scheduled at a similarly early time, the whole process would take 4 days off of work, 2 nights in hotels, meals, and close to 1000 miles of driving. Combine that with the really low price of traffic violations in that county, and no out-of-stater in their right mind would bother coming back to challenge the ticket, even if they had an airtight case. -
Inlining images with the [inline] tag works in Preview Post and is listed in Markup Help, but does not work when the message is posted. This caused me a few minutes of headscratching. Please note: I understand why inlining is turned off (can we say goatse?). This is not a request to turn inlining on.

But unless you do a proper experiment with a control group -- which would be people with placebo rigs -- you can't state scientifically that they are effective. Anyway, it's a joke and a jab at a certain group of researchers. Check out the last sentence in the "conclusions" section.

I sold my shitty electric bass and amp. Only got about $200 for it, but it was what I needed to put myself over the top for a rig and I had hardly played it in a year anyway. I would have ended up selling anyway it just because it took up too much space in my dorm.

"also starring Rex Hamilton as Abraham Lincoln". I loved that show.

Or any rating.

Pilotwings for SNES. The least sucktacular skydiving game (well, part of a game) ever, and that isn't saying much.

I keep meaning to order the Canadian DVD, where Spike says "shit" and the crappy Star Wars credits are cut.

Kim P. at Birdman recommended Terry to me as well. I haven't called him yet because I have a new (camera) wing suit being shipped Any Day Now which is spreading my suit budget really thin. Well, it got people talking, but it fell into the same trap that snags lots of funny/controversial ads: Everybody remembers the one about the fart in the car or the cat herding or the karate bear or the hotdogs, but I can't for the life of me remember what any of those ads were trying to sell me. Oops, waste of money.

Check the manual for your motherboard. Sometimes the beep codes carry useful information.
